Faye Turner looked at him calmly, "If you’re not working overti this afternoon, you can go back to the old house. Your mom should have finished the last dose of herbal dicine. I want to check on her condition."

Adrian Lancaster was a bit surprised. Is she not going to ask anything else? Half a day has passed, doesn’t she have anything pressing on her heart?

The girl looked at him calmly, seemingly waiting for his response.

Adrian Lancaster nodded, "Okay."

The couple’s eyes t, and after a while, Faye asked him, "What do you want to say?"

Adrian Lancaster snapped back to reality, raised a hand to touch his nose tip, his eyes seed evasive, "Well... later on, spare two hours, I’ll take you to the hospital for a prenatal check-up."

Hearing this, Faye Turner was shocked inside.

She thought he might say sothing to her about yesterday’s remarks.

Unexpectedly, it’s a completely unrelated topic.

Faye nodded, "Okay." Inside, however, she felt a bit disappointed, but actually, she hadn’t asked anything, right?

If she asked him, he might answer, too. But how should she ask? There’s no foundation for affection; it was a flash marriage.

At this mont, a cell phone ringing broke the heavy, awkward atmosphere.

Adrian Lancaster took out his phone to see it was a call from his grandfather. He didn’t dare delay, looking up at his wife not far away, and in front of her, slid his long finger over the answer button—

"Grandpa..."

"Adrian Lancaster! You ungrateful brat!!" On the other end, the old man was fuming, "Are you out of your mind?! See what you’ve said to the dia?! What kind of nonsense is this?!"

Grandpa’s voice was too loud, and his phone was of great quality, plus the surroundings were very quiet, so Faye Turner clearly heard every word and sentence Grandpa yelled at him.

While Adrian Lancaster was showing a difficult expression, unable to get a word in to explain, Faye Turner stepped forward, passing him by, left without looking back.

Leaving Adrian Lancaster almost scolded to death by Grandpa...

In the elevator going upstairs, Faye Turner pressed the close button, took a deep breath, and leaned heavily against the elevator wall, watching the numbers grow bigger, sighing repeatedly.

Never thought life would turn out like this.

Adrian Lancaster returned to the president’s office dejectedly after Grandpa’s scolding, his face green with anger.

His brain must have been kicked by a donkey yesterday, not considering the consequences at all.

At this mont, Dustin Shepherd ca in.

He said to Dustin Shepherd, "Give the phone number of the dia editor where Rachel Sherman works! What a ss?!"

"Yes." Dustin Shepherd didn’t dare slack off, inwardly complaining to Mr. Lancaster, if he didn’t speak nonsense, kept his mouth shut, could it be like this?

Quickly, the number was found, Adrian Lancaster dialed out using the landline, "Is your newspaper planning to close down?!"

"Who are you?!" The editor asked angrily.

"I’m Adrian Lancaster!!"

"..." The other party instantly gave in, too scared to make a sound, trembling while holding the phone.

"Mr. Lancaster...ah." He knew what the matter was about, "You..."

"Economic interview, you asking about emotional issues is one thing, but do you really not have a clue whether it can be released?!" Adrian Lancaster sternly questioned!

Dustin Shepherd was embarrassed, he’s shifting bla!

But for the first ti, President Lancaster really lost it, "That was obviously said in anger! Now it has created such a public opinion! You figure out how to resolve it! Otherwise, your newspaper can wait to shut down for good!"

The editor was scared out of his wits and montarily forgot how to plead.

Adrian Lancaster slamd the phone down hard! His face was ugly.

Dustin Shepherd next to him was frightened too, having followed him for so long, never seen him like this.

At the newspaper.

The editor sat paralyzed in the chair, nearly scared to death!

He’s just an editor; he’s not the owner!

With such a big issue, how could he bear the responsibility?
