The room was so silent that only the sound of heartbeats and breathing could be heard...

The nanny and the mistress’s gazes t, and Nanny Warren’s eyes were filled with heartache!

Eliza Hayes looked pale and helpless, yet she seed like a slightly calm devil, her eyes extrely complex, perhaps reflecting her inner turmoil.

At eight o’clock tonight, Faye Turner went to bed early.

Because she didn’t sleep well last night, and today’s events left her feeling exhausted.

Adrian Lancaster sat beside her under the sa blanket, unable to calm his mind, getting distracted occasionally.

This kind of behavior was unusual for soone as self-disciplined as he was.

Seeing her face the threat from her mother today, he was moved, even if it was just for him to see.

In truth, Adrian Lancaster always believed in Faye Turner’s character; even without being monitored, she would have said the sa today.

Unexpectedly, as he felt touched, he recalled the night in the study when she asked him about Sienna...

And he rembered all the little monts since their marriage.

Adrian Lancaster might be beginning to realize that his heart, once as hard as ice and closed to everyone, was slowly lting...

Faye Turner’s smile and kindness made Adrian Lancaster feel a warmth he hadn’t felt in a long ti.

She repeatedly told him that no matter what happens, he would be on the sa side with her.

Adrian Lancaster gently moved aside the soft strands of hair on Faye Turner’s face, worried it might affect her breathing.

Her peaceful sleeping appearance filled him with comfort.

In the still of the night, Adrian Lancaster also thought about how his mother had no objection to his marriage before, and even when told about the pregnancy, she was indifferent.

Only when his father had his pulse taken did his mother have such a big reaction.

Adrian Lancaster was not a fool; he was sowhat perceptive.

So, he had already determined that his mother was problematic.

The dilemma now was how to solve this issue without hurting his grandfather’s feelings.

Around 11 PM, he finally sorted through these matters, closed the book, and was about to lie down to sleep beside her.

On the bedside table, Faye Turner’s phone rang.

Soone was calling.

To avoid waking her, he quickly picked it up, lowered the volu, and saw the na displayed.

It was her good friend Rachel Sherman, the other partner of The Fairy Tale Nook.

Adrian Lancaster glanced at his sleeping wife, then at the caller ID on the screen, thinking that it must be sothing very important to call so late at night.

So, Adrian Lancaster swiped to answer.

"Faye, please help , June has a 40-degree fever! She keeps having diarrhea and won’t stop crying! I’m on the way to the hospital now, Dylan Shaw hasn’t co back, I’m really scared..."

"She’s asleep, I’ll pass the ssage, hold on a mont." Adrian Lancaster’s voice was gentle, and he didn’t hang up the phone.

Then, Rachel heard him calling Faye to wake her up, and she was stunned!

Was President Lancaster the one who answered??

But with her child crying and fussing, she didn’t have ti to think too much, "Don’t cry, don’t cry, sweetie, we’ll be at the hospital soon."

Her voice was so gentle, and she kept her cheek pressed against her daughter’s, but no one knew how anxious she was at that mont.

The call continued...

Soon, Faye loudly asked, "Rachel, which hospital are you at? I’ll co right away!"

"I’m sorry, Faye, for disturbing your sleep." Rachel’s voice trembled slightly, "Still on the way to the hospital."

"What nonsense are you talking about? Quick, where?" Friends don’t ntion inconvenience to each other.

Rachel ntioned a hospital na, and Faye said she’d be there soon and told her not to worry too much, the doctors would know what to do!

In the large bedroom at Aqua Flora Residences.

Faye had lost any desire to sleep. She quickly changed out of her pajamas, just about to put on a coat when she saw Adrian Lancaster was ready too, their eyes t!

"I’ll go with you," he said to her.

"..." Faye hesitated for just a second, "Thank you." She then grabbed her phone and went to the door, "Let’s go!"

She truly didn’t waste a second, understanding Rachel’s difficulty.

And so, Adrian Lancaster drove and took Faye to the hospital as quickly as possible.

Rachel’s parents-in-law didn’t co because they said they had been looking after the child all day and their backs were aching, so they needed to sleep at night.
