Eliza Hayes’ face relaxed; she wasn’t particularly pleased with such complints.

She only maintained a slight smile, "It’s true what they say, a girl changes a lot as she grows up. If Grandpa hadn’t ntioned it, I really wouldn’t have recognized her."

Serena Sutton smiled shyly; in her mory, Auntie Hayes seldom spoke, often keeping a serious deanor.

The girl gathered her thoughts, then seriously placed a chess piece down. She wanted to make the best use of her intellect to leave a great impression on Grandpa.

Eliza Hayes glanced at the scene but didn’t stay long.

Serena Sutton didn’t ntion anything about Adrian Lancaster today; she was rely crafting an image of a good girl returning from abroad to promptly visit her elders.

She was very well-behaved; she didn’t ask unnecessary questions nor roam around. She only accompanied Grandpa for tea, chess, and so chat before leaving.

She left a deep impression on Grandpa.

Thus, Eliza Hayes didn’t particularly like or dislike her. In any case, she wouldn’t be a threat to Eliza Hayes.

Grandpa’s affection for her was second only to his affection for the younger generation.

But Serena Sutton felt she had gained a lot from this visit.

Inside the departing Lamborghini.

Faye Turner turned to the man beside her as the car approached The Fairy Tale Nook, "Adrian, I’ve scheduled a eting with Rachel Sherman at the dessert shop today; could you drop off at the next intersection?"

She was always so cautious in front of him.

Adrian Lancaster’s thin lips parted slightly, "Sure, just tell Mr. Kerr when and where you want to get off."

"Okay," she glanced out at the street scene through the window.

And Adrian Lancaster was thinking about how he could arrange for Faye Turner to et his father.

Although his father was gravely ill, having the daughter-in-law et the father-in-law was the minimum courtesy, right? With Grandpa’s approval, Mother wouldn’t have any reason to object.

Therefore, next Friday, Adrian Lancaster planned to discuss this matter with Grandpa and Mother.

In the old mansion.

Returning to the living room on the second floor of the Buddhist chapel, Eliza Hayes found her mind adrift as she thought of Faye Turner.

"Did you not sleep well last night?" Nanny Warren knew her best and not only noticed but understood why she had insomnia.

"That girl Faye Turner is very clever. Now that she’s pregnant with Adrian Lancaster’s child, her status as the young mistress should be quite stable." Eliza Hayes’ tone was indifferent, but a flash of coldness appeared in her eyes.

Nanny Warren’s feelings were heavy, "Though it was a whirlwind marriage, the fact that the young master was willing for her to beco pregnant implies he has so affection for her. So, Madam... don’t take away what he loves. Throughout his childhood, you have already owed the young master too much."

A single word of owing made Eliza Hayes look up abruptly, her gaze coldly fixed on Nanny Warren!

Nanny Warren did not believe she had misspoken.

Eliza Hayes’ cold eyes seed to shoot out icy daggers, "Who is indebted to whom?!" She seed to have been touched on a sensitive string, a bit hysterical.

"But the young master is innocent!" Nanny Warren was deeply distressed, "I beg you not to be obsessed anymore. Don’t wait for the day to awaken with regret over past decisions, as it would be too late! So wounds can’t be healed!"

"Yes, so wounds can’t be healed." Nanny Warren repeated, implying sothing deeper.

Eliza Hayes said coldly, "As long as Faye Turner doesn’t offend , I’ll let her hold her position as Mrs. Lancaster, but if she dares ddle, then sorry, this position won’t keep her."

"Madam..."

"I will also never let her bear the Lancaster heir!" Eliza Hayes was now utterly detesting doctors, seemingly blinded by hatred, "I’m unhappy, thus no one should expect happiness!"

Nanny Warren’s heart was incredibly heavy. She sighed repeatedly, "Life is short. Do you really intend to imprison yourself forever? You can live happily, if only you desire."

"This isn’t imprisonnt." But Eliza Hayes seed resolute, she laughed coldly, "This is about pleasing myself for the rest of my life, ignoring the fate of others. How can that be called imprisonnt? I’m quite delighted!"
