Faye Turner was stunned by the setup here, a vast space, neatly organized, it was practically a private collection room.

Yet at the sa ti, she felt overwheld, her grandfather actually brought her here.

"Faye?"

The girl snapped back, quickly said, "Grandpa, I don’t think I need any gifts, you liking this much is already the biggest gift for ."

"That’s not enough, tangible gifts still need to be given." Grandpa was in a good mood tonight, picking sothing suitable for her from the shelves while saying, "The act of giving a gift is itself a way to express affection."

How could a good girl like Faye Turner ever open her mouth to ask for gifts?

But Grandpa insisted on giving one.

Faye stood by the window, and as she inadvertently glanced, she looked towards the back of the courtyard and saw that a room on the third floor of that low house was lit up.

There was a strange figure standing by the window.

Faye was slightly startled and looked closer!

A man stood at the window, his head tilted at a disturbing angle as if he had no neck, one side of his face resting on his shoulder, he was trying to pull open the curtain but appeared to be struggling.

From the distance, she couldn’t see the expression on the man’s face clearly.

Yet the curtain was being pulled open little by little...

As night fell, this scene sent a chill down her spine!

Who was that person?

"Faye, how about this piece of erald? Do you like it?" Grandpa’s voice ca from behind her.

Faye turned to see the old man walking towards her with a translucent erald-green gemstone, smiling ear to ear.

"I think you’ll like it, take a look!"

The old man took her hand, placing the gem into her palm, "This will be yours, Faye!"

Its color was special, a brilliant erald green, shining beautifully under the light.

"Grandpa..."

"You can’t refuse." The old man suddenly beca stern, "Otherwise, the giver will be heartbroken!"

"But it’s too precious."

"You’re not an outsider, so what’s the matter with it being precious? As long as you like it!" Grandpa held her hand firmly, ensuring she held the gemstone, then asked, "Do you see anything else you like in Granddad’s room?"

"No, no more," Faye quickly replied.

The old man was also very happy, "Alright then, let’s go downstairs for now, and you can pick more next ti?"

Faye felt a bit heavy-hearted because this erald was truly valuable.

Yet Grandpa didn’t want to burden her, so he said, "Aren’t you designing a necklace recently? You can use this to create a design you like."

The words sowhat enlightened her, suggesting that since it was thus, might as well use this gemstone given by Grandpa to make a gift for the baby?

Make an eternal glance even more aningful.

While going downstairs, Faye glanced several tis towards the low house in the backyard; the curtain in that room was already closed, the light turned off, peaceful as if nothing had happened.

But who was that man with the tilted neck?

In the evening, why was the light off?

If he was Adrian Lancaster’s father, why was no one around to take care of him?

A series of questions swirled in her mind.

Downstairs in the living room.

Since his mother left, Adrian Lancaster sat alone, drinking tea, a bit lost in thought.

He couldn’t understand why his mother had such an obsessive love for his father?

Now, clearly in the worst state, why not even try when there’s hope?

Previously for him, she had sought out renowned doctors.

Soon, footsteps were heard approaching.

Adrian Lancaster pulled his thoughts back, lifted his gaze to see Faye assisting Grandpa downstairs, Grandpa with a joyous smile, "Adrian Lancaster!"

"Grandpa." The man’s voice was low, magnetic, and pleasing to the ear.

"Accompany Faye for a walk in the yard, let her get familiar with the surroundings so she doesn’t feel out of place tonight." The old man gave a direct order.

Making Faye a bit embarrassed, truly unnecessary, Adrian Lancaster had been busy all day and must be pretty tired.

Yet Adrian Lancaster misunderstood, assuming it was a request Faye made to Grandpa.

Although he wasn’t in the best of moods, he still put down his teacup and stood up, his cool gaze resting on the girl who had co downstairs, "Shall we go?"

As the words fell, he didn’t wait for her and started towards the door.

"Hurry up, hurry up," Grandpa urged the girl beside him, even reaching out to give her a gentle nudge.
