When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster Chapter 180: Faye Turner Takes the Initiative to Speak with
"You’re really imaginative." Adrian Lancaster’s tone was still indifferent, revealing nothing of his emotions.
"Of course, what else should I do, cry?" Faye Turner seed to have figured it all out in an instant.
Leaning back against the chair, she wasn’t awkward anymore, "Throughout history, how did those remarkable people live so freely? Didn’t they think? Once they figured it out, everything was fine!"
Adrian Lancaster didn’t respond.
In fact, Rachel Sherman wasn’t wrong at all; you always have to gain sothing, right?
Being free from worries about food and clothing is already better than many people, as the majority spend their lives struggling for these basic needs.
When the Lamborghini stopped at the old estate of The Lancaster Family, an ancient aura greeted them.
As the car door opened, the grandfather, leaning on his dragon-headed cane, ca over with a beaming smile.
The elderly man’s eyes were solely on his granddaughter-in-law, "Faye, co, co, be careful, give your hand to grandpa."
Adrian Lancaster got out of the car first, only to be casually nudged aside by his grandfather for being in the way.
After Adrian Lancaster steadied himself and turned around, he saw the grandfather linking arms with Faye Turner, the two of them chatting and laughing as they headed towards the main villa—
He felt he had been abandoned!
"Faye, are you feeling unwell since the pregnancy? Are you sleeping well at night? How’s your appetite? Are you actually taking the prenatal dicine? Is that kid Adrian treating you well?"
The grandfather’s concern made Faye Turner feel incredibly warm.
She had a smile on her face, like the serene flowers in the courtyard.
"Grandpa, Adrian is taking great care of , so there’s no need to worry, I’m eating well, sleeping well, feeling both happy and blessed." She looked as if she was on top of the world.
"That’s good." The grandfather was relieved, giving a glance towards his dear grandson following behind, who looked like he had been secluded!
"Grandpa." Faye Turner took this opportunity to make a request to him, "Can you remove the surveillance caras from the house? Give us a little bit of privacy?"
"Sure! No problem at all." The old man turned around while walking, "Adrian Lancaster, dismantle the caras yourself! I authorize it here!"
"..." Adrian Lancaster raised an eyebrow, "Well then, thank you, Grandpa!"
"You’re welco!"
Upon entering the living room, Eliza Hayes wasn’t there, and Faye Turner inquired softly, "Grandpa, does Adrian’s mother know about my pregnancy?"
Grandpa furrowed his brows, turning around seriously, "Why do you still call her Adrian’s mother? You’re already married, she’s your mother too."
"..." Faye Turner felt a bit embarrassed.
However, Grandpa answered her question, "She probably doesn’t know. Grandpa hasn’t ntioned it."
The girl nodded, "Then should I go and tell her?"
"Yes."
This is a form of communication, and more importantly, a sign of respect.
So, Faye Turner looked at Adrian Lancaster and said to him, "Shall we go to the backyard together? I want to tell our mom about the baby."
Adrian Lancaster didn’t need to think long to predict how indifferent and uninterested Eliza Hayes would be.
"Co on!" Faye Turner took a step forward, entwining her arm with his, pulling him along.
As they left the villa, she whispered to him, "No matter if your mom cares or not, telling her is our way, as juniors, to show respect."
Watching the two of them leave the room, the old man sat down on the sofa.
He thought Faye Turner was a wise and good girl.
With her presence, The Lancaster Family would surely beco better and better.
He believed in fortune-telling, and he also believed in taphysics.
Faye Turner led Adrian Lancaster to the courtyard, loosening her hold on his arm and walking alongside him towards the Buddha hall.
The figure of Eliza Hayes ca into view; she stood before the Buddha statue, praying as usual.
Nanny Warren stood aside, and when she saw the young couple approaching from a distance, she ca to her senses and gently reminded, "Madam, the young master and Miss Turner are coming over."
Eliza Hayes remained with her eyes closed, her fingers sliding over the Buddha beads, seemingly deaf to her words, as if the two of them had nothing to do with her.
"Hello, young master. Hello, Miss Turner." Nanny Warren greeted them respectfully, deliberately avoiding using the term "young mistress" in front of the madam as they entered.
