When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster Chapter 171: President Lancaster’s Apology
Under the night sky, the Lamborghini headed towards Aqua Flora Residences.
Mr. Kerr was driving, with Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner sitting in the back seat.
There was no communication between them, both leaning against the car windows, separated by a shoulder’s width.
They both might have been thinking about what happened last night, making the atmosphere a bit awkward.
He still hadn’t apologized to her.
She also didn’t ntion the new phone.
However, in her bag was the cistanche she bought for him from Dr. Aiken this morning, intending to make him homade dicine as soon as they got ho.
After all, when it cos to dication, you should do it in one go; if there’s too much delay in between, the effect won’t be as good.
Soon, the car stopped in the residential area, and Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner got out and walked towards the entrance.
The journalists nearby followed and took pictures from the right angles.
"OMG, are they living together?"
"Does President Lancaster have a girlfriend? His secrecy is impressive, isn’t it?"
"There really hasn’t been any woman around him, not even a hint of scandal."
The journalists couldn’t enter the complex, so they imdiately drove back to their office and got soone to keep an eye on them, wondering if they’d co out tonight.
When they reported the news to the editor-in-chief, his eyes lit up—
"Publish it! We must publish it!!"
"Quick, write the article! Get it out overnight!!"
The editor-in-chief saw a huge influx of traffic! All of this ant money! This one scoop might just bring in a big profit!
Adrian Lancaster, after getting ho, went straight to the study, sat down at his desk, and turned on his computer.
Soon, a call ca in, and he connected it, discussing projects with a company executive.
Faye Turner spent an hour concocting the dicine for him again, working alone.
Until she knocked on the slightly open study door.
Busy with work, Adrian Lancaster looked up to see her walking in with a bowl of dicine.
She silently approached him, gently placing the bowl on the table, then silently gazed down at him.
Adrian Lancaster was surprised that she had made dicine for him?
After three seconds, he turned off the computer, freed his left wrist from the cuff, and extended his arm to her.
Faye Turner bent slightly, rolled up his sleeve, with the dedicated spirit of a doctor, not holding any grudges.
While she was applying the dicine, the cool sensation brought a warmth to Adrian Lancaster’s heart.
Just watching her from such a close distance, her gentleness and care moved him, and Adrian Lancaster finally overca his pride, lightly parting his thin lips, "I’m sorry."
Faye Turner paused slightly, once thinking she heard wrong, looked up, and t the man’s deep eyes.
"What?" Her tone was indifferent, "I didn’t hear it." The words were sowhat intentional.
"I’m sorry." Adrian Lancaster spoke again, his attitude sincere, "I misunderstood you last night."
Hearing this apology, Faye Turner was imdiately relieved.
She then smiled gently, like a spring breeze, "It’s okay, I forgive you!"
She looked away and continued applying the dicine for him, Adrian Lancaster’s eyes now holding a touch of warmth.
"Within a week, your injury should completely heal." She told him in a doctor’s tone.
Actually, seeing it recover to this point, he was already very happy, since at the beginning, he didn’t have any hope.
After finishing applying the dicine, Faye Turner helped him tidy his sleeve and buttoned up the cuff lightly, saying as she left, "Thank you for buying a phone."
After saying that, she turned and left.
Adrian Lancaster looked at her retreating figure, feeling a bit awkward.
Why did he buy her a phone?
Wasn’t it because he broke her phone?
Compensating her with a phone was only right.
Soon after, Adrian Lancaster in the study suddenly slled an unpleasant odor, which made him frown.
He quickly got up to check.
Only to see Faye Turner holding a bowl, sitting at the dining table, frowning as she drank sothing, looking like it was very bitter.
Seeing him approach, Faye Turner quickly swallowed the traditional dicine and looked up to tell him, "It’s the prenatal dicine my grandfather had sent over; I just brewed it."
