"Hospital? Do you an Honglei Hospital? Is that our destination? And what do you an by the other part of you?" The more Gu Luoxin asked, the more confused he beca. His mind was spinning from the information overload, and he felt as if Jin Jiuchi’s words had entered his one ear only to exit through the other in the form of a jumbled ss.
And of course Jin Jiuchi, this lazy dog, would never go to the lengths of explaining things to others. He rely waved a hand in a dismissive gesture, "I’m sure you will understand everything later. Let’s go first!"
He whirled around and marched down the corridor with self-assured strides of soone who knew his way.
Gu Luoxin, still trying to make sense of it all, instinctively turned to ask for Noir’s opinion, "Great God...?"
"So far, he doesn’t seem suspicious," Noir replied with his eyes narrowed at Jin Jiuchi’s back. "Here’s soone who can lead the way, and there’s no harm in following him for now. I will not look a gift horse in the mouth." With those words, he began to catch up with Jin Jiuchi, leaving Gu Luoxin to scramble after their large steps.
"Wait for !"
The three of them walked for a considerable distance until they ca across a fork. The right path led to the ’Dinsional Carousel’, while the left path led to the ’Temporal Whirlpool Waterslide’. Gu Luoxin almost burst into happy tears when he saw the signs. Finally, they encountered sowhat normal attractions. At least, they sounded far better than ’Gravity Shift’!
Just the ntion of the carousel and waterslide was enough to trigger Gu Luoxin’s imagination of the amusent park, and a hint of excitent colored his voice as he asked, "Which way should we go? Carousel or waterslide? Both of them sound good!"
Jin Jiuchi answered in a heartbeat, "We will go right."
Gu Luoxin had no problems with it, but Noir, who had just claid that there was no harm in following Jin Jiuchi’s lead, raised a skeptical brow, "Why should we? What will we encounter on the waterslide?"
Jin Jiuchi flashed them a crooked smile laden with aning, and it looked so evil that Gu Luoxin couldn’t help but shudder. "Have you forgotten what I told you just now? Both of you will die soon... and yes, you will et your demise on the waterslide."
Gu Luoxin gasped in shock, colors draining from his face. "W–We will die on the waterslide?" Fear trembled in his voice as he contemplated the grim prospect.
He took back his words from earlier. ’Gravity Shift’ suddenly did not seem so bad compared to these two. At least in that attraction, they did not encounter any life-threatening danger aside from so minor embarrassnt!
"But what makes you so sure that the carousel won’t have the sa outco?" Noir continued to press for an answer, his brows furrowed.
"Why are you so long-winded? Ain’t I here to guide you?" Jin Jiuchi clicked his tongue, and without giving them a chance to respond, he grabbed both of their arms and dragged them to the right path. "Let’s go go go!"
Noir’s expression darkened as he forcibly freed himself from Jin Jiuchi’s grasp, but Jin Jiuchi, ever the relentless, switched to head lock him instead. Acting as if he did not notice the traces of murderous intent radiating from Noir, he asked Gu Luoxin with a playful tone, "Do you want to know how you die on the waterslide?"
"H–How..." Gu Luoxin began, only to change his mind soon after. "No, don’t! Don’t tell ! I don’t want to know anything about that!"
But it was already too late, for Jin Jiuchi’s words had reached his ears. "You will be dropped from the height of a five-storey building, and the water pressure will crush your bones and flesh—"
"Lalalalala!" Gu Luoxin imdiately covered his ears and chanted out loud. "I heard nothing!"
"—and when you co out of the waterslide, all that remains of you is—"
"Lalalalalala!"
"—but too bad, I’m only making it up." When Gu Luoxin snapped his head to him with utter disbelief, Jin Jiuchi’s mischievous grin widened like a cat who got his cream. "I wasn’t even there with you, so how would I know how you die? Do you think it’s sothing you would tell on your own accord? Tsk, why are you so gullible?"
Gu Luoxin’s expression remained blank for a few monts, before fury overtook his features. "Da... Shen... how dare you!"
Jin Jiuchi yelped and skillfully evaded the attack that ca from both of his sides. He sprinted forward before turning around and doing a backtrack, laughing at the two people who displayed murderous intent toward him. "But I didn’t lie though! The two of you will really die there! Oh look, we’re here!"
A familiar door stood before them, with the naplate bearing the words ’Dinsional Carousel’. Gu Luoxin took a deep breath to curb his killing intent, but he still used two fingers to point at his own eyes before pointing them at Jin Jiuchi, his gesture aning, ’Just you wait!’
Noir dismantled the naplate to peek at the back of the paper. "Five."
Five tourists were allowed to enter this attraction.
Gu Luoxin began to feel nervous as he watched Noir return the naplate. "This can’t be as dangerous as the waterslide, right? After all, carousel is slow and gentle. Carousel is fun! It is every child’s favorite! What could possibly go wrong?" He muttered reassuring words to himself, as though only then could he muster the courage to enter.
When Noir turned the knob to open the door, Jin Jiuchi chid in as though he had just recalled sothing, "Oh, that’s right."
The other two instantly whipped their heads to him with a sharp glare.
"What? What is it? What do you want to say this ti?" Gu Luoxin asked with a vigilant look. He even rolled up his sleeve, showing that he would really fight Jin Jiuchi this ti if he were to spout nonsense again.
Jin Jiuchi cast him a wounded look as though he couldn’t believe that his sweet and timid teammate had beco so violent. "I rembered why we must go through this attraction," he huffed. "We can find our tour guide, Toki, inside. How is it? This ti, it’s authentic and useful information!" He raised his chin proudly, but it only made Gu Luoxin want to punch his face even more.
He gnashed his teeth angrily. This bastard...
"Why didn’t you tell us such an important thing sooner?!"
