The mont Shen Nianzu saw Jin Jiuchi and Gu Luoxin leaving the hospital through the surveillance footage, a spark of pure anger coursed through him. Not due to their audacity to get discharged and run around as they pleased, but rather— why would Jin Jiuchi ask that kind of thing from Gu Luoxin? Had they gotten close enough that they could even discuss sothing so personal? When? Why had he never noticed it before?!

Shen Nianzu’s purple eyes blazed with irritation and his fury shimred beneath the surface like a suppressed volcano, only finding an outlet once he caught sight of Jin Jiuchi.

Call him spoiled or a control freak – he did not care – but he had always been like this since young.

A pri example that stood out was how his parents always ordered custom-made suits for him when they attended high-class banquets for the upper echelon. Back then, Little Shen Nianzu had perfected the art of presenting himself in the most impeccable manner, and he took pride in his unique physical traits despite his underlying health concerns. He loved his custom-made suits because they had been tailored solely for him, they existed to be worn by him alone.

That was, until he chanced upon another child at the event who wore suits with a style similar to his own. It was not identical per se, and the color palette was not even remotely similar. But Little Shen Nianzu, upon noticing a few distinct similarities, imdiately discarded the outfit once he returned ho and ordered it to be incinerated. He no longer wished to wear it no matter how much he had adored it before.

If he owned an item, it must be sothing exclusively and uniquely his.

He thought that his control-oriented tendencies were limited to the belongings he possessed. Alas, little did he expect that it would apply to Jin Jiuchi as well— and to a degree more intense than he could have ever imagined.

If he had to make a crude taphor, then Jin Jiuchi was akin to a stray dog he had picked up on the street. This dog was wild, ferocious and untaable, but it was only with him that the dog would reveal its soft belly and nuzzle him with affection. He knew that he would not be able to fully control this wild beast, but he reveled in the fact that he was the only one ’special’ to it. But then one day, he suddenly discovered that the dog, which had always snapped and growled at others, began to soften and would even lick another person’s hand.

Shen Nianzu was absolutely livid. It was— unforgivable. Unacceptable.

He could not bring himself to accept it. This was his dog, he was the one who had picked it up! It must only bark at his order, only look at him, eat from his hands, must only belong to him and no one else!

Shen Nianzu was aware of his own problems, and that’s why he had never taken the initiative to get close to other people, not even his own parents, because he knew that his tendencies could brand him as an obsessive lunatic.

Jin Jiuchi had stumbled into his world like a whirlwind, a chaos personified, carrying with him all of his unique quirks, madness, and dangerous allure. He pushed the buttons that Shen Nianzu did not even know existed in him before. It irked him, it drove him to the brink of insanity.

And here he was, confronting this foolish husky in a narrow alley behind an internet cafe at a little past seven in the morning.

"Do you get it now?" He narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Never ask anything of Gu Luoxin again— no, not only him, but other people as well. If you have a question, ask . If you need sothing, tell . Only , is that clear?"

Jin Jiuchi felt a trace of delightful shivers running down his spine at being the recipient of that captivating yet nacing glare. He bit down on the inside of his cheek to contain the buzzing excitent in his heart. How long had it been since Shen Nianzu looked at him with such a fierce gaze? Last ti, was it Shishen Apartnt?

He could sense that Shen Nianzu truly wanted to kill him back then, but after that, although the jade doll would often get angry, he had never exhibited the sa ferocity and icy detachnt anymore. And now, peering into Shen Nianzu’s eyes, he could tell with every cell in his body that the best outco was to go along with the jade doll’s words, or else the consequences would be unimaginable.

Alas, when had Jin Jiuchi ever been one to bow to the tides?

The more Shen Nianzu acted like this, the more he wanted to... rile him up, drive him crazy, ignite those purple eyes with fiery indignation. Oh, Nian’er would look even more breathtaking that way!

He ran his tongue over his sharp canines, his heart racing in thrill and excitent. "Oh?" He lowered his gaze, a mischievous glint sparkling in his silver eyes. "What would Nian’er do if I didn’t listen? After all, you know how bad I am at following rules..."

Shen Nianzu’s gaze turned even sharper, the fury in those purple orbs boiling over akin to the explosion of a supernova. As the season progressed into autumn, the temperature had dipped lower as of recent, especially early in the morning. Yet the ager space where their breaths mingled seed to radiate a feverish heat and crackling energy. It was as if sothing was quietly brewing beneath the currents, only waiting for the right ti to erupt and annihilate everything at its wake.

Shen Nianzu extended a hand and wrapped it around Jin Jiuchi’s throat, and Jin Jiuchi... oh he shivered even more, his arms breaking out in goosebumps. As Shen Nianzu’s nails dug into his flesh, a tingling numbness swept over his scalp. Alarm bells rang in his mind, warning him of the impending danger, but he ignored them and showed a roguish smirk, taunting,

"What would you do, Nian’er?" He could feel Shen Nianzu’s palm against his vocal chord, and he knew that Shen Nianzu derived pleasure from the resonant vibrations that echoed through him too, if his shrinking pupils and the spike of his scent were any indicator. Jin Jiuchi’s voice lowered, almost into a purr. "Tell , what would you do to ?"

"I..." Shen Nianzu’s gaze briefly dipped to the tantalizing curve of his lips before rising to et his eyes once more. "I will have no choice but to put a collar around this neck of yours... secure the leash to the bedpost, and lock you up in a room where nobody can see or hear you aside from . But of course, you will not like it, will you, Jin Jiuchi?"

"That’s why," he tightened his grip, choking the man’s windpipe as he whispered his threat in a voice so silky and alluring that it should be a sin. "Don’t disobey , or it will not bode well for both of us."
