Xiang Beifei drew in a sharp breath.

He finally understood why he always felt like sothing in the darkness had been staring at him—it was these bizarre things!

Upon closer inspection, he realized these eyeballs weren’t human at all, but rather resembled the eyes of various desolate beasts. It was as if soone had a particular cruel hobby, collecting the eyes from slaughtered desolate beasts and hanging them from the beams.

The eyes of these beasts varied in size; the larger ones were almost as big as fists, and the smallest were the size of fingernails. Because they were all round and glassy, Xiang Beifei couldn’t imdiately tell which kind of desolate beasts they belonged to just by the eyes.

He glanced at the eyeballs for a while, noting a rich variety of colors: red, blue, black. So pupils were vertical, akin to those of feline beasts, while others were triangular, possibly from a Landmine Dragon. So pupils even looked like spirals, similar to mosquito coils, and a few even held tiny comma-like shapes within them.

These eyes dangled in mid-air, gently swaying, as though they were trophies.

Xiang Beifei stared at these eyes and saw that they didn’t make any moves, so he cautiously took a couple of steps forward.

However, he soon discovered that the eyeballs hanging from the beams had eerily shifted their gaze in his direction!

Even soone as brave as Xiang Beifei couldn’t help but feel uneasy, wondering what force controlled these eyes to fix on him so unsettlingly.

While remaining vigilant, he continued forward. The eyeballs kept their gaze on him, and though they exhibited no aggression, he didn’t interfere with them. But soon he noticed many abnormalities within this hut.

A tail from a Claw-tailed Monkey hung on the wall, looking strangely grafted onto it. As Xiang Beifei passed by, the tail trembled and turned towards him, its claws slightly curling.

To the left, a bear skin flayed and draped over a chair connected to a bear head, looking almost like a specin. As Xiang Beifei approached, the bear’s head slightly tilted up to look at him. It didn’t roar, but faintly opened its mouth, emitting an eerie sound.

The more Xiang Beifei observed, the more he felt sothing was amiss. He had already passed through the back hall of the hut and was approaching the curtain. The creaking sound beca clearer, as if hiding just behind the curtain.

He carefully lifted the curtain.

The front hall was shadowy, the light seeming unable to penetrate, rely allowing a glimpse of a few shelves with so plastic bags on them. In the center of the house stood a table, and an old woman was standing beside it, her back to him.

The creaking noise was undeniably coming from the old woman’s direction.

And the little girl stood beside her, holding a heart in her hands, smiling cheerily at Xiang Beifei.

"Want to eat?" the girl innocently asked.

If not for the splotchy bloodstains on the girl’s face, Xiang Beifei would have found her to be quite adorable.

His gaze fell on the girl’s hand; the heart was precisely the One-Ard Crab heart he had seen in Feng Kang’s office.

However, the heart had now lost its vitality, exhibiting several small bite marks and being half eaten away. He realized that the sound was actually chewing!

Seemingly hearing the noise too, the old woman halted her movent, slowly turning around, presenting her mud-like face, with its wrinkles filled with blood and gri.

She revealed a disturbing smile, with the two remaining teeth dripping blood, extrely eerie.

"My grandma says, are you hungry?" the girl looked at Xiang Beifei.

"Not hungry."

Xiang Beifei kept his eyes on the two figures before him.

The old woman had her mouth open, making "ya ya" noises; she seed incapable of speech, with her only two teeth moving up and down in her hollow mouth.

Xiang Beifei suddenly noticed that the old woman’s teeth seed to match the missing incisors of the little girl!

"Grandma is old,"

the girl giggled, "She’s lost her teeth! So I lent her my two front teeth."

She pointed to the gap where her incisors were missing, but after speaking, she seed a bit crestfallen, "It’s uncomfortable without teeth, and I don’t like the other teeth."

After a mont, she lifted her head, with a strange light flickering in her eyes, "Could you lend your teeth?"

Xiang Beifei looked at the girl, "How many do you want?"

The girl seed taken aback but quickly beca delighted, "Just two! I only want two!"

"Co get them," Xiang Beifei said.

"Okay!"

The girl, like a naïve child, happily bounced towards Xiang Beifei.

"I want your two front teeth, the ones on top,"

she said as she ran.

Whoosh!

The girl was incredibly agile; she quickly extended her hand, reaching for Xiang Beifei’s face with her palm open!

But before her hand could touch Xiang Beifei, it suddenly halted, as if she had seen sothing terrifying.

"Ah!"

The girl pointed at Xiang Beifei, screaming in fright.

She trembled violently, shaken by the sight of Xiang Beifei, and didn’t dare take another step forward.

"Don’t you want them anymore?"

Xiang Beifei asked calmly.

A stone pillar eerily erged beside him.

"Grandma, he’s turned our cozy little ho into sothing so terrifying! It scared to death!"

The little girl scread, as if terrified, and turned to run towards the elderly woman.

The elderly woman still stood in her spot, staring at Xiang Beifei, her face still exhibiting a sinister smile.

"Ka! Ka! Ka!"

Weird sounds ca from the old woman’s throat, and her face was so wrinkled it almost squeezed her eyes into a slit. In the dark, those eyes suddenly emitted a yellow glow.

Sha! Sha!

It seed like many things in the shack were trembling. Light rays lit up above the roof. Xiang Beifei looked up slightly and realized that the eyeballs from the back hall had followed him, now hanging right above him.

"So, you’re not human, are you?"

Xiang Beifei didn’t pay attention to those eyeballs, only looking indifferently at the old woman.

The elderly woman kept smiling.

"Grandma, beat him up. I want his teeth!" the little girl said angrily.

Whoosh!

As if an explosive force burst from the elderly woman’s decrepit body, she vanished from her spot in an instant. When she reappeared, she was already behind Xiang Beifei, pouncing towards him.

"I thought so."

Xiang Beifei threw a punch!

Hum!

The exploding fla burned on his fist, illuminating the entire shack, and smashed behind him!

The elderly woman clearly wasn’t affected by Xiang Beifei’s "Recoil in Fear", her system interface displayed she was in the late stage of ridian Opening, and since her cultivation was a minor realm higher than Xiang Beifei’s, she could resist the pillar’s might.

As Xiang Beifei’s fist ca smashing down, her mouth suddenly opened wide. What had been a two-toothed mouth turned into a bloody maw, and from the toothless gums ca the ergent "ka ka" of sharp, long teeth.

These seed to be the teeth of so desolate beast, resembling those of a galodon, but each tooth shone with the luster of refined iron, extrely sharp.

When Xiang Beifei’s fist roared past, she promptly bit down on it!

Clang!

The sharp teeth bit down on Xiang Beifei’s fist. However, a strange fluctuation emanated from his fist and quickly traveled up through the teeth, counterattacking!

Ka!

Two of the sharp teeth were directly shattered by Xiang Beifei’s punch!

While Xiang Beifei’s fist fla surged straight into the elderly woman’s mouth!

The elderly woman’s eyes, originally squished by wrinkles, suddenly widened in shock!

She angrily released her bite and, with her body flickering like an agile serpentine, imdiately put so distance between herself and Xiang Beifei!

"If your teeth aren’t that strong, don’t be too greedy." Xiang Beifei looked calmly at the old woman.

The elderly woman covered her throat, coughing incessantly; she couldn’t seem to digest Xiang Beifei’s fist fla, retching non-stop while black smoke billowed from her mouth.

"Ka!"

The elderly woman finally managed to suppress the fist fla in her mouth and then raised her head, fixing Xiang Beifei with a deathly stare. Suddenly, she opened her mouth and spat out a cloud of blood mist towards Xiang Beifei!

The blood mist diffused in the air, spreading out, and countless items on the shelves within the shack began to tremble.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Several explosive sounds followed, as sharp claws and various long intestines quickly leaped out of plastic bags and charged towards Xiang Beifei.

A powerful surge of energy emanated from Xiang Beifei, sweeping out and instantly smashing all the desolate beast organs to pieces! Discover hidden content at .Côm

"Being at the late stage of ridian Opening with an N-rank and showing such anomaly already, and your Awakening System hasn’t even been active for less than ten years, what the hell are you?"

Xiang Beifei stepped forward, his fist thundering out with a powerful explosive sound and striking at the old woman!

He didn’t have the mood to tangle with the old woman any longer; it was better to deal with her first!

The fist fla burst spectacularly in the air, and the elderly woman, apparently not expecting Xiang Beifei to be such a hard nut to crack, twisted her body to avoid Xiang Beifei’s fist, but was still brushed by the blast of his punch. The flas ignited her hemp clothes!

"Ka!"

The elderly woman seed to dislike the flas; she quickly tore off her clothes, then revealed the body that had been concealed underneath.

Wrapped up tightly, not a bit of skin had been showing, but once the clothes were torn away, it was revealed that the old woman’s body was covered in layer upon layer of eerie scales!

These scales seed to be snake scales, each reflecting a cyan cold light under the firelight, making Xiang Beifei montarily think she was so sort of snake person. However, her snake scales quickly opened, and from under each scale protruded sharp spikes!

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The spikes flew rapidly towards Xiang Beifei through the air. Without any hesitation, Xiang Beifei threw another punch!
