Xiang Beifei looked up at the earthen wall above and, relying on his spiritual power, forcefully ignited the wall as well.
The extensive flas exhausted Xiang Beifei, but luckily he always had sunflower seeds from Elder Luo in his pocket, which he quickly fished out. Not bothering with the shells, he stuffed them directly into his mouth.

Fan Kai felt like his teeth were nearly broken. He took out the seeds and touched his cheek.
"Oh? You can’t crack them?"
Xiang Beifei was surprised and suddenly rembered sothing Ye Changfeng had said on the day of the entrance exam—not everyone is qualified to eat Elder Luo’s sunflower seeds. "I’ll throw a bomb! See if we can blast through this," Fan Kai imdiately threw a marble-sized bomb towards that window, but just then, a delicate little hand suddenly extended from the mass of tendrils!
This hand, like that of a two or three-year-old child, was impeccably white and smooth, seemingly crafted from porcelain, inordinately adorable.
However, this very hand caught the bomb with unerring precision and lightly kneaded it, turning the bomb to dust!
"What the hell is this?" Fan Kai exclaid in shock.
By this ti, the crying sound of an infant from inside the building grew louder, echoing throughout the corridor, tensing all three of them. The cries seed to emanate from just outside the window they were facing.

Soon, another porcelain-like little hand stretched out from the tendrils, followed by an infant’s head, and then a plump baby in a onesie crawled out from the tendrils.
The baby kept crying, though no tears fell from its eyes, which made the crying sound strangely abnormal.
This was an odd infant, appearing to be about three years old, possibly a boy, with eyes shrouded in a layer of gray mist and unsettling blood vessels visible.
Xiang Beifei suddenly recognized those eyes!
It was the very eye that had spied on them from the hole in the fourth-floor corridor!
"Is this also a desolate beast?" Fan Kai asked in wonder.
"Would an ordinary child be able to catch a bomb?"
Without any hesitation, Sun Yushan swung her hamr again, aiming for the child. But tendrils burst through the cracks on either side, wrapping around her hamr.
"Damn it!"
After struggling for a while, Sun Yushan couldn’t retrieve her hamr, and Xiang Beifei, with flas rising on his fists again, pushed past her, aiming for the infant!
His fist fla spread around him, extrely violent, compressing the space. Although not as strong as Sun Yushan, his flas forced the infant to recoil. The tendrils reached for Xiang Beifei but were repelled by the flas before they could get close.
"Wah wah wah..."
The infant quickly extended its hand to block, and an open palm, smaller than Xiang Beifei’s fist, still managed to stop his punch.
But Xiang Beifei’s fist fla scorched the infant’s skin, igniting it on contact. The child hastily retreated, frantically waving its hands, trying to pat out the flas on its arm.
Seizing the opportunity, Xiang Beifei focused his gaze on the flas blocking the window, his spiritual power surged forth, igniting the tendrils, and then he turned and swung a punch toward the tendrils holding Sun Yushan’s hamr, driving back the flas.
