Really?

Bai Fu was instantly intrigued.

The painter chuckled: "It took only three and a half years to advance from an ordinary person to A-class!"

Oh, then you still have so practicing to do; it took less than three and a half years.

Bai Fu didn't undermine the painter's confidence, choosing instead to play the role of a good listener.

"Back then, I was very proud of myself, noble by birth, outstanding in talent, sailing through life smoothly without any setbacks. I thought I was favored by God, until I t soone."

"She was also a Spiritual Ability Painter, but unlike , she had a poor background and no talent. However, her devotion to Spiritual Energy was sothing I had never seen before."

The painter slightly tilted her head upward.

In her pupils, there seed to be a reflection of a figure that should not exist.

She was reminiscing, longing.

"I went to challenge her, but she wouldn't accept. Only because I kept pestering her did she agree, and then she effortlessly beat with a Prayer Card."

"With her, I tasted defeat for the first ti."

"I felt she cheated by using a Prayer Card to beat , and I was very unconvinced. So, I went to reason with her but was soon rendered speechless by her profound knowledge, experiencing my second defeat."

"Of course, I couldn't just admit defeat like that. I was such a proud person and believed that if I took it seriously, I would definitely beat her in her domain. And that's how I beca a Spiritual Ability Painter."

"It's funny to say, the ntor guiding in my practice knew less about the Prayer Card than the one who defeated . To defeat her, I had to borrow her notes from the library. The funniest part was she caught while I was borrowing them. Can you imagine how embarrassed I was?"

The painter looked helpless.

Bai Fu nodded; she certainly understood. But if she were in that situation, she definitely wouldn't feel embarrassed, because she had a pretty thick skin.

The painter continued: "I don't know if she saw my embarrassnt, she just said that if I wanted to learn, I could just approach her directly. She wasn't stingy about sharing her knowledge because she hoped more people could beco devout followers of Spiritual Energy like her."

"I thought, well, since I already lost face, I might as well learn from her. That's how we officially got to know each other. Initially, I estimated it would take at most a year to defeat her, but... from our first eting in our teens until the day she passed away, I never achieved that goal."

"After six months of learning from her, war broke out. She joined the battlefield; the war lasted seven years. Several tis I lost contact with her. Later, I also joined the war, but I was in charge of logistics, so I rarely saw her."

"After the war ended, the Alclusa Sect noticed her because of her war rits, and she joined the Alclusa Sect, becoming part of the Combat Nuns, while I..."

"The Alclusa Sect?" At this mont, Detri interrupted the painter with a cry, "Is it the Alclusa Sect that caused the Spirit Disaster?"

The painter replied: "Yes."

Detri's pupils contracted: "Could the person you've been talking about be Alclusa's [Summoner] i Li?"

The painter said: "Yes."

The small courtyard suddenly fell into silence.

Taking this opportunity, Bai Fu used the Virtual Heart to search for related incidents.

The incident occurred at the junction of the Rebirth Empire and Titan Industry, in a Superstellar Group nad Sahji.

This Superstellar Group does not belong to any Cosmic Level Civilization, with complex internal forces and nurous factions, where wars break out all year round, making the environnt quite harsh.

Alclusa is a religion advocating the healing of human pain through Spiritual Energy. Sixty-four years ago, the Alclusa Sect held a sacrificial ritual intending to summon the Angel Envoy through the ceremony to ultimately end the chaos in the Sahji Super Star System. The person involved was i Li, who was deeply devout to Spiritual Energy.

However, an accident happened during the sacrificial ritual, and instead of an Angel Envoy, an uncontrollable massive Spiritual Energy descended.

Under the scour of Spiritual Energy, the Alclusa Sect was nearly wiped out, and neighboring civilizations around the Alclusa Sect were also heavily impacted. A civilization called Sharpie, one of the Ten Saints Association, was directly wiped out.

Finally, under the joint invitation of various forces within the Sahji Super Star System, Titan Industry intervened to quell the Spirit Disaster.

"i Li died, she died before I could challenge her."

The painter took out a physical photo and placed it on the table, a picture of the young she and the young i Li nestled together.

"I tried to dissuade her, but she volunteered, and no one forced her. She had always been a devout believer in Spiritual Energy, sacrificing herself to fully integrate into Spiritual Energy, summoning the Angel Envoy to bring lasting peace to Sahji. In her view, this wasn't a sacrifice, but the happiest mont of life on earth."

"The day she walked onto the sacrificial altar, I lost the only goal of my life, and it felt like a piece of my heart was missing. I think that from that mont, my heart may no longer have joy or sorrow."

"However..."

"The Spirit Disaster happened."

"Everyone thought the Spirit Disaster was an accident. Yes, it was an accident, but not the kind you think. I stood there and saw with my own eyes the descent of the Angel Envoy. But the Angel Envoy brought not peace, but slaughter. The Angel Envoy devoured i Li, devoured the people of the Alclusa Sect, devoured my hotown, devoured my family, and to this day, I still rember i Li's expression when she realized the Angel Envoy was going to devour her."
