"It all happened too suddenly. I wasn't ready, both ntally and physically, to accept this turn of events. I completely lost my purpose, lying in bed wondering what I wanted to do next, what I could do next—I had to find sothing to do, or I'd just be a walking corpse, wouldn't I?"

Julia's expression grew steadily more serious. "I thought of sothing I have to do and sothing that I want to do. You saved , so I must repay you, and you intrigue , so I want to study you."
