For him, this was undoubtedly a leap in status, but his life had not been comfortable.

Although the mbers of the Truth Society were hardly paragons of virtue, villains also had standards, and many in the Truth Society despised him. Carl was a man of great ambition; he wanted to climb higher and was unwilling to be trapped in this lab for life. Otherwise, he wouldn't have betrayed Julia, who he treated as a brother.
His heart was without guilt. He only hated that there wasn't a second Julia he could betray.
"Recently, the Truth Society has suffered multiple blows and incurred heavy losses. Everywhere needs fresh manpower. This might be my best chance to leave this rotten lab and transfer elsewhere. Missing this chance, who knows how long I'll have to wait."
Carl clenched his right fist.
He had already planned it out. He would beautifully resolve this incident of intrusion before the Chairman left Lab #1, letting the Chairman witness the growth he had achieved in the past two years.
He, Carl, was no ordinary man!
Once he left here and made significant achievents, he would make all those who looked down on him kneel!
Carl's expression went through several changes, and finally, he said to the guards, "The Truth Society has encountered quite so troubles recently. It's rare for the Chairman to hear good news, so don't bother him with such trivial matters. I'll capture those intruders. Oh, and don't tell Director Pan about this. Although that player carried a Spiritual Ability Shield Card, how could a 200-point Spiritual Ability Shield Card withstand the continuous firing from a helicopter's machine gun?
