When the Players charged angrily towards the Imperial Fleet under the assault of the virtual forces, Bulalo imdiately put on a facade of uncontrollable rage.

"Those bastards, how dare they launch a surprise attack on the Imperial Capital amidst the chaos. I must settle this debt with them today!"

After a bout of "angry" roars, Bulalo, who rarely personally took action before, brought along a group of trusted followers and charged out directly from the mothership.

He controlled his emotions perfectly, making almost everyone believe that he was truly enraged by the attack on the Imperial Capital and that the Emperor Odoacer was so frightened that he rolled all over the place — except for Heck, who was hiding in the shadows.

Among the people that the Child of Prophecy advised to pay special attention to was Bulalo.

Upon receiving the order, Heck deliberately detached a part of his body to lurk within the communication network of the Imperial mothership.

For these past few days, Heck has been constantly observing Bulalo's every move, scrutinizing every word Bulalo sent to others over and over.

But he found nothing unusual.

He almost entirely dismissed his suspicions about Bulalo.

Until just now.

Bulalo's outburst seed reasonable, but was it truly reasonable?

No!

If Bulalo truly cared about the Imperial honor, truly cared about Odoacer's dignity, then during the period when he first received the news of the attack on the Capital Star, he should have shown extre anger and humiliation.

Yet, he didn't.

Therefore, Heck dared to conclude that Bulalo was certainly putting on an act!

With the attack of the Undying People, instead of defending against the enemy, Bulalo intentionally put on a show in front of everyone. If there wasn't so hidden agenda, Heck would eat his words.

Of course, this only indicated that Bulalo was hiding a secret in his heart, not that he was truly going to betray the Empire.

The exact situation required further observation.

Being a ticulous intelligence officer, Heck never unjustly accused others without a cause.

After Bulalo left the mothership, Heck imdiately followed, observing in secret.

He saw Bulalo lead people into the midst of the Undying People.

He saw Bulalo fighting fiercely with the Undying People.

He saw Bulalo risking his life to rescue Imperial People in danger.

He saw Bulalo using Special Items to restrain the Undying People, buying the endangered Imperial People a chance to escape.

Then, he saw Bulalo suddenly stop, not killing the Undying People he had trapped, but instead talking to them.

——Stop, I'm not your enemy!

——I have important information to tell Bai Fu. Please help convey it. If Bai Fu is inconvenient to et , then let Detri co!

Bulalo didn't directly tell the Players what secret he wanted to convey.

He feared that the Players might be careless, or that there might be a mole among the Players, causing the ssage to leak before it reached Bai Fu.

After hearing the conversation between Bulalo and the Players, Heck's gaze gradually beca sharp.

"Bulalo, as a noble representative of the Imperial Elder Council, as a widely recognized loyal minister of the Empire, are you really going to betray the leader who brought unmatched glory to the Empire?"

Heck found it unbelievable.

He couldn't comprehend Bulalo's mindset, because he simply couldn't figure out what benefit Bulalo would gain from doing this.

Another thing Heck found incredible.

"Did Bulalo just ntion Detri? But wasn't Detri supposed to have been killed by Bai Fu in the battle of Ancestral Origin Star? Why... could it be that Detri isn't dead at all?!"

Heck dared not delay and quickly reported his findings.

The news of Bulalo attempting to betray the Empire didn't particularly anger Ignatius.

What truly broke Ignatius's defenses was that Detri wasn't dead and was likely now with Bai Fu.

"No wonder, no wonder during the battle of Ancestral Origin Star, all three of my strategies failed, and in the end, I fell into Bai Fu's trap. Detri, it was all you, you had secretly aligned with Bai Fu long ago!"

Ignatius nearly spat blood.

A bit of Qi Force uncontrollably overflowed from his body, instantly stirring up a strong wind, shaking the entire palace.

After roaring, Ignatius imdiately found Odoacer.

He unceremoniously insulted him.

"Useless, you useless waste, look at what kind of ss the Empire has beco under your leadership?"

Whether it was Detri or Bulalo, both held enough power in the Empire to be ranked in the top five, yet they both betrayed the Empire and turned to Bai Fu.

How ridiculous?

Ignatius gripped Odoacer's throat, lifting him up.

If he didn't know Odoacer's true nature, he'd almost think Odoacer secretly joined Bai Fu too.

Odoacer's face was flushed red.

But he didn't dare struggle or show even a hint of anger.

Even though he was already very angry inside.

But what of it?

After Ignatius returned, he was still the nominal Emperor of the Empire, yet in reality, the Elder Council no longer reported matters to him.

The only Elder Council mber who still rembered him was Bulalo, but absurdly, Bulalo had already betrayed the Empire.

What a sin!

Odoacer's ntal state was on the verge of collapsing.

After a long while, Ignatius flung Odoacer aside.

So be it.

Killing Odoacer wouldn't make any difference.

At least now a reason for defeat was figured out. What needs to be done next is, naturally, revenge, to give Bai Fu a big surprise.

"Create an opportunity for Bulalo, to ensure he successfully ets with Bai Fu or Detri."

With Ignatius's command, Heck and his intelligence departnt imdiately sprang into action.

...

While Ignatius was admonishing Odoacer, Bai Fu was discussing with Detri on how to respond to Bulalo.

They both thought it was an opportunity, but also suspected it could be a trap.

Despite both having a good relationship with Bulalo, due to the matter concerning core Imperial interests, they couldn't easily determine whether Bulalo would betray them at this point.

After so discussion, Detri felt it was better not to miss the opportunity due to fear.

"I'll go et Bulalo. He probably considered that we'd be suspicious; that's why he said eting with is also acceptable."

Insisting on going, Detri did not defer after Bai Fu persuaded him a couple of tis.

With the evolved Heavenly Ark around, as long as they're careful, even if it is a trap, it shouldn't pose a significant problem.

Several days later.

Players launched another attack on the Imperial Fleet.

During the lee, Bulalo safely received a response.

The person who contacted him was Detri, who gave him an address, advising him to find an opportunity to proceed there.

"Once you arrive there, I will contact you again."

Finally.

Bulalo felt imnsely relieved.

He never imagined that all of this was actually under Ignatius's watchful eyes all along.

After the Great Battle ended, he didn't act imdiately, instead staying busy within the fleet for several more days before leaving under the pretext of heading to a rear maintenance base.

This ti, Bulalo traveled light.

anwhile, with Heck's notification, Ignatius, the Destiny Weaver, the Child of Prophecy, and others were fully ard.

The group flew all the way towards a place far away from the Holy City of the Angels.

During this, the spaceship underwent three transitions.

After a full day, Bulalo finally reached the place Detri ntioned.

There, he t Digging Girl.

Digging Girl told him the real location of Detri.

"Thank you."

A relaxed smile appeared on Bulalo's face.

Only now did he feel the heavy burden on his shoulders had been lifted.

After telling Detri that secret, he simply intended to follow Detri to Bai Fu, also to save himself from continuing to act in the Empire.

Soon after.

Bulalo t with Detri at the agreed location.

"Haha, Detri, it's been a long ti."

Bulalo spread his arms intending to hug Detri.

At this mont, Detri's expression suddenly changed.

"Watch out!"

But it was too late.

A figure materialized behind Bulalo, and before Bulalo sensed anything amiss, a terrifying power had already struck him.

He didn't even have ti to cry out before his body was pierced through.

"Ignatius?!"

Detri stared intensely ahead.

Ignatius smiled at Detri.

"Thanks to Bulalo, we were able to find you."
