Detri was dumbfounded.

At one point, he suspected he was dreaming.

Emperor Ignatius wasn't dead; he had returned. Such a thing already sounded fantastic.

The leader of the First Protocol being Emperor Ignatius made it even more filled with dreamlike absurdity.

Isn't this ridiculous?

If the leader was Emperor Ignatius, why did he stay hidden all along and try every ans to counter the Rebirth Empire?

The fact that the Rebirth Empire grew to its current state was heavily due to Emperor Ignatius's efforts. Under his leadership, the Rebirth Empire defeated the Superpower Courtyard, escaped the crisis of annihilation, and then set on a path of rapid developnt.

Going against the Rebirth Empire now, wasn't he negating his past?

Detri couldn't figure it out no matter how hard he thought.

Odoacer looked at Detri with emotion: "I know it's hard for you to believe, but... never mind, never mind, even if I explain it to you now, you may not believe it. Let the Great Emperor explain it to you personally."

Detri woke up abruptly: "The Great Emperor will co personally?"

Odoacer explained: "Just a projection."

As soon as he finished speaking, a strange spatial fluctuation appeared behind him.

Crimson energy flowed out from the fissure, eventually forming a sturdy figure more than three ters tall.

Detri's body stiffened.

He couldn't have rembered wrong.

This appearance was identical to the gigantic statue of the Great Emperor that had stood for thousands of years, even more so.

"Detri, you have done well. In this era of decay, you are worthy of the Empire's pillar."

A deep voice called out.

"I..."

Detri slightly opened his mouth, seeing appreciation, recognition, and value in those bright brown eyes.

Ignatius said: "I know you have many doubts in your heart, and I am here today to clear them for you."

At this mont, Odoacer wisely walked away.

Only Ignatius and Detri were left talking in Secondary Space.

This conversation lasted nearly two hours.

During this ti, Ignatius first demonstrated his unique abilities to Detri, dispelling any doubts Detri had about his true identity.

Afterwards, he recounted to Detri the threat of the Reapers, the danger from Bai Fu, and his own journey from death to becoming the leader of the First Protocol.

The First Protocol wasn't actually founded by Ignatius.

Long before the Rebirth Empire clashed fiercely with the Superpower Courtyard, the First Protocol already existed in the world.

It was established by a group of Seekers roaming and exploring the Other Dinsion Space.

On their journey to explore the endpoint of evolution, they discovered traces of the Reapers and thus gathered together to discuss strategies, birthing the First Protocol in their discussions.

After its birth, the First Protocol went through many rounds of turmoil. Ultimately, in the era when Emperor Ignatius was renowned, it stabilized and beca a solid organization.

To develop the organization, the leader at the ti recruited many mbers, including Ignatius.

Ignatius was already dead, but the leader at the ti saw great potential in him and transford him into a Seeker.

Revived from death, Ignatius, after a long ti, re-entered the Super Supre Rank and regained his past mories.

Should he return to the Empire, or stay with the First Protocol?

After an intense internal struggle, he ultimately chose to stay.

To ensure the Empire's eternal continuation, the Reapers' Descent must be stopped, and he couldn't co into conflict with the First Protocol, as it was mighty; he and the Empire alone could not withstand it.

After staying, Ignatius, through rounds and rounds of struggle, finally grew to beco the new leader of the First Protocol.

Years made him more resilient.

He still retained the grandeur from the ti of the Great Emperor, but his ambition now extended beyond just the Rebirth Empire.

"I will create a new social order, one that will prevent us from repeating the missteps of Void Civilization and Void Realm Civilization!"

"Detri, co, lend your aid! For the Empire, for those comrades who fought alongside you, for the honor you have believed in all your life!"

Ignatius's impassioned speech exuded the charisma of a great orator that made people feel an involuntary urge to submit.

Detri felt like his eyes were almost blinded by the brilliance.

His mind was in a daze, for what Ignatius had just said was overwhelming with information, completely overturning his previous understanding.

It turned out, the seemingly villainous First Protocol was actually the Savior.

It turned out, Saintess Bai Fu was the threat to civilization's security.

Thus, logically, he indeed should accept Emperor Ignatius's invitation.

Because if he didn't, there was a significant chance the Rebirth Empire would be destroyed, rendering all his past efforts futile.

"What should I do?"

Detri looked up at Ignatius.

Ignatius raised his right hand, and in his palm appeared a tiny teardrop-shaped crystal.

"Approach Bai Fu, and then embed this into her body!"

"What is this?"

"A Gene Tracking Device. Once this is implanted in her body, I can find her no matter where Bai Fu escapes to."

Detri imdiately understood Ignatius's intention.

He was worried that this action wouldn't kill Bai Fu, and she might escape, so he planned to preemptively plant a tracking device on her.

Ignatius: "This is our necessary path to a new era. I know you feel uneasy, but you must get over this hurdle. Everything is for the Empire."
