??“It was a female ghoul! She brought a vial of blood from Baihai City!” the doctor blurted, eager to save himself. “I only got a single drop, and look what I created—powerful, obedient servants! If I could get more, the dical world would never be the sa!”

??Bai Xuan asked, “Where’s the rest of the blood?”
??“How should I know? You’ll have to ask that ghoul—she’s the one who sold it! But didn’t you already kill her?” The doctor sneered.

??Bai Xuan fell silent, then glanced at Serene. “Kill him.”

??“Not much, honestly,” Bai Yu answered at once. “But we’re sure of two things: she’s not a bad person, and she only started appearing in Ninghang City recently.”
??“Who can say?” Li Hongyou shrugged, unconcerned. “Anomalies are always a handful. Anything else you know? Like the guy who’s always with her—who is he?”
??“Guy?”
??Bai Yu and Liu Qian exchanged confused looks.
