Chapter 211: Premiere Night

Zinnia stood near the stage, her glass of cider forgotten in her hand as she reflected on the success of the night. The energy in the room had settled into a comfortable hum, with small groups of people chatting, laughing, and exchanging complints about the movie. She was startled out of her thoughts by the familiar sound of Samuel’s voice behind her.

"You did it," Samuel said, his tone calm but carrying an undercurrent of admiration.

Zinnia turned, eting his warm gaze. "Sam, I didn’t see you there."

He smiled faintly and took a step closer. "I’ve been watching you from across the room. You’ve been handling everyone like a pro, but I figured you could use a mont to just... take it all in."

She chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "It’s overwhelming, in a good way. But it’s not just . It’s the whole team. We made this happen together."

Samuel nodded, his expression softening. "True, but it wouldn’t have co together without you leading them. I know how much you’ve poured into this, Zia. You deserve every bit of praise you’re getting tonight."

"Thank you, Sam," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "It ans a lot coming from you."

He glanced around at the room, then back at her. "Should we head out soon? It’s getting late, and you’ve had a long day."

"Yeah, I think everyone’s starting to wind down," Zinnia said, noticing so people gathering their things.

Soon, the wrap-up screening party ca to a close. People began bidding their goodbyes, thanking Zinnia for her leadership and promising to stay in touch as the movie prepared for its premiere. Samuel stayed by her side, ensuring she wasn’t overwheld by the goodbyes.

anwhile, Victoria stepped out into the cool night air and dialed her boss, Lily, from her car. The phone rang twice before Lily’s composed voice answered.

"Victoria, what’s the update?"

"The movie is incredible, Ms. Aquila," Victoria said, unable to hide her enthusiasm. "The crew did an amazing job, and Zinnia—she’s incredible. I can see why you trusted her with this project. I think it’s going to be a hit."

There was a pause on the other end. Lily’s voice, as calm as ever, replied, "Good. That’s what I like to hear. Keep

updated on the marketing progress and ensure everything is set for the premiere."

"Yes, of course," Victoria said, hesitating for a mont before adding, "You must be proud of her. She really delivered."

Lily’s tone remained neutral. "I expect nothing less from Zinnia. She knows how to rise to the occasion."

But as Victoria ended the call, Lily leaned back in her chair, staring at a frad photo of her and Zinnia from years ago. A rare, small smile graced her lips. Deep inside, she was imnsely proud of her best friend but chose to keep those emotions to herself.

Premiere Night

The day finally arrived. The premiere night of Seas of Deception was a grand affair, with lights, caras, and a red carpet rolled out in front of the theater. Excitent buzzed in the air as the crew, staff, and cast arrived, dressed in their finest attire.

Zinnia arrived with Samuel by her side, looking elegant in a deep erald gown that caught the light perfectly. Samuel, in a tailored black suit, stayed close, his hand lightly resting on the small of her back as they made their way inside.

Her parents, Elena and Ricardo, arrived shortly after. Ricardo looked noticeably better, though his movents were careful. Elena held his arm, her face glowing with pride.

When they saw Zinnia, Ricardo extended his arms. "My girl," he said, his voice warm but slightly strained. "You’ve outdone yourself. I couldn’t be prouder."

Zinnia’s eyes glistened as she hugged her father gently. "Thank you, Dad. It ans everything to

that you’re here tonight."

Elena placed a hand on Zinnia’s shoulder. "We’ve always believed in you, sweetheart. And seeing you shine tonight just proves we were right."

Nearby, Victoria mingled with other attendees but kept a watchful eye on Zinnia. She couldn’t help but feel proud of her for this project, knowing how much Zinnia had invested in making it a success.

As the lights dimd and the movie began to play, Zinnia sat between Samuel and her parents, her heart racing with a mix of nerves and excitent. She glanced at her father, who watched the screen intently, a faint smile on his face.

By the ti the credits rolled, the theater erupted in applause. Ricardo turned to Zinnia, his eyes misty. "You’ve done sothing extraordinary here," he said.

Samuel leaned in closer, whispering in Zinnia’s ear, "You’ve made everyone proud, Zia. Especially ."

Zinnia felt a surge of emotion but kept her composure, knowing this mont was one she’d rember forever. The journey had been long and challenging, but tonight, surrounded by the people she cared about most, it all felt worth it.

As the final applause echoed throughout the theater, Zinnia’s heart was still racing, her mind racing with thoughts of everything that had happened over the past month. It felt surreal—her hard work, the dedication of the team, and the countless hours spent on set—all culminating in the success of the night. She turned to Samuel, who had been beside her during the screening, his presence a steady comfort amid the whirlwind of emotions she was experiencing.

"Sam," she began, her voice filled with a quiet exhaustion. "Thank you. This night... it’s incredible. I still can’t believe it’s over."

Samuel smiled at her, his eyes warm with pride. "You did it, Zia. All of you did. It was a team effort, but I know how much you put into this." He paused, his tone shifting slightly, as if he was gathering his thoughts. "We should head out soon, though. I’ll drive your parents ho first."

Zinnia blinked in surprise. "Oh, you don’t have to. They can take a taxi or—"

"No," Samuel interrupted gently, shaking his head. "I want to. I know how important tonight was to you, and I want to make sure everything is taken care of. Let

drive them ho, and you can stay here for a little longer, talk to your team. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it."
