Chapter 1: The One Who Was Chosen

My na is Ayan.

I am a high school student.

My life has never been good.

I have no friends, no one who waits for , no one who calls my na.

Yet... I was never unhappy.

Ani, manga, and light novels were enough to keep my heart alive.

That day, I was walking along the side of the road like always.

Then—

darkness swallowed everything.

The sky vanished.

The road disappeared.

Even my own body felt unreal.

I couldn’t understand what was happening.

In that endless darkness, a figure appeared before .

A presence so overwhelming that my breath stopped.

A god.

His voice echoed from everywhere at once.

"You must save all the worlds."

Save... the worlds?

Before I could ask anything—

everything faded.

When I opened my eyes again, I felt warmth.

Soone was sitting beside .

A girl with silver hair and calm eyes looked down at and said softly,

"You’re awake."

Confusion flooded my mind.

"Who... are you?" I asked.

She bowed her head politely.

"I am your servant."

"...My servant?"

"Yes," she replied. "My na is Yalhyang. But you may call

Hyang."

Nothing made sense.

"Where am I?" I asked.

She looked at seriously and said,

"You have been reborn."

Before I could react, a deep voice ca from behind .

"Ayan."

I turned around. An old man stood there, his eyes sharp like soone who had lived through countless eras.

"Who are you?" I asked.

He answered calmly,

"I am your grandfather."

"My... grandfather?"

"From your previous life."

My head started to hurt.

"Why did you bring here?" I asked.

He looked straight into my eyes and said words that froze my blood.

"For this world... you must beco evil."

"What are you saying?" I shouted.

But he didn’t change his expression.

"What you heard is the truth. There is no ti left. Get ready and co downstairs. I will send your clothes."

Before I could argue, he turned away.

I walked toward the window.

What I saw made my heart sink.

This world was nothing like my original one.

No trees.

No grass.

No life.

Only endless gray land stretching into the distance.

This place felt... broken.

Suddenly, a voice ca from behind .

"Master Ayan."

I turned around.

Hyang was standing there, holding unfamiliar clothes.

"I’ve brought your outfit," she said. "Lord Vernas ordered you to wear these."

"Who is Lord Vernas?" I asked.

She answered respectfully,

"He is your grandfather from your previous life. The god ofthis world."

"...Is he still a god?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"No. He was the Moon God. There were seven gods in total."

My heart tightened.

"What about the other six gods?" I asked. "Are they still alive?"Hyang looked away for a mont.

"Yes," she said quietly.

"They are alive. They were once friends... but everything has changed."

And in that mont, I understood—
