96: An Easy Victory

Although the Source Martial Tournant did not require combatants to stop at the first touch of contact, it also prohibited excessively serious injuries. Two teachers were present at each corner of the ring, ready to intervene at any mont.

The weapons used were high-tech plastic-steel weapons, uniformly prepared by the school based on the registrants' choices. They were very durable but not highly lethal.

Yuyin held a black plastic-steel longsword, her waist-length vertical long hair draped over her shoulders, standing valiantly in one corner of the ring.

"Goddess Yuyin!"

"Xia Yuyin, Xia Yuyin!"

The several hundred students watching from all sides erupted in cheers. For this match, everyone wasn't here to see the outco, but to watch the process.

In the other corner of the ring stood Chen Lei from the Daoist Arts Departnt. He actually had so skill; currently, he was ranked 69th among first-years in Academy Credits.

However, his opponent was Xia Yuyin, the undefeated one below the third year, and ranked first among first-years in Academy Credits.

Chen Lei was a normal person. He still used his phone and followed the Academy forums, so of course he knew all about Yuyin.

But even under these circumstances, now that he stood on the martial stage, Chen Lei still held a sliver of fantasy, thinking that if a huge upset occurred and he defeated Yuyin, his na would be made.

"Begin the match!"

With the command from the referee teacher below the stage, Chen Lei made his move!

He was at the stage of breaking through to beco a Source Martial Practitioner, his Primordial Energy reaching 175. At this mont, his Primordial Energy erupted. Holding a plastic-steel broadsword, he charged towards Yuyin to strike.

Chen Lei was not a fool. He had prepared a special move and had studied videos of Yuyin's fights. As he charged at Yuyin at high speed, he seed to be swinging his sword at her with full force, but it was actually a feint. The mont Yuyin used her signature block, he would suddenly deflect his blade to attack her lower body.

When the distance between them was less than three ters, Yuyin extended her slender, delicate hand that wasn't holding the sword, her small, beautiful white palm open.

Bang!

A current of air, like a directed explosion from a steam boiler, sent Chen Lei, who had not yet touched Yuyin, flying. He flew across the more than ten-ter diagonal of the ring and landed hard on his rear at the edge of the rubber mat, rolling off the stage.

Ti of the match: 3 seconds.

"Xia... Xia Yuyin wins!"

The entire audience seed to be stunned for a few seconds before they began to cheer for Goddess Yuyin.

Everyone knew Yuyin would win, but no one expected her to win in such a manner, so quickly.

Exceeding expectations, a stream of Soul Charm Points flowed into Yuyin's God-Devouring Chess space.

This palm strike was not so secret technique. It was sothing Yuyin had used impromptu in a previous fight, and later, in her spare ti, she had fiddled with it and perfected a move to instantly unleash a powerful burst of Primordial Energy from her palm. It was entirely created by Yuyin and had no formal na.

It was simply a matter of using her Primordial Energy, which was many tis stronger than her opponent's, to forcefully send him flying with a single palm. After all, Yuyin had now reached the Mid-Stage of Spirit-Seeking.

Although the process of his loss was completely unexpected, Chen Lei, lying on the floor below the stage, gradually ca to his senses, his mindset calming down.

"Goddess Yuyin is truly amazing." Chen Lei wasn't injured. When a teacher ca over to check on him, he saw that Chen Lei was even smiling. From then on, he beca one of Yuyin's fans.

The preliminary stage consisted of one match per week. Win and you advance; lose and you're eliminated.

Having finished her match in a few seconds, Yuyin stepped down from the stage and left, leaving the many students who had co specifically to see her feeling a bit reluctant.

"Sister Yuyin, so cool..." a girl with a flushed face covered her own small face, leaning on the railing of the stands.

"Hey, have you no sha? You're a second-year and you're calling her 'sister'?"

"Little sister, then... she's just like a big sister, isn't she?" The girl's gaze followed Yuyin's tall, graceful, and feminine back as she walked out of the venue, her voice full of adoration.

Little did she know, Yuyin was aware of her thoughts.

"A second-year girl admiring as a big sister? Wanting to do... that... for Soul Charm Points, this..." Yuyin felt both helpless and a little embarrassed as she walked towards the competitor's changing room.

In the quiet changing room, Yuyin opened a locker. She took off the white skirt outfit, which wasn't even sweaty, and looked at the full-length mirror. "If a girl wants to be friends with , she can just say so directly. But that girl's thought... it's a bit too strange, isn't it?"

More and more boys in the school had a secret crush on Yuyin, but... the number of girls who secretly admired her was also growing...

The second round of the preliminary qualifiers took place on a rainy day, but since it was an indoor venue, it wasn't affected. In fact, even more people ca to watch.

Besides Yuyin's fans and the general student audience, there was another group: the female fans of Xin Liang, the great handso man of the first year.

Today, Yuyin wore a black, tight-fitting bodysuit, with a large, light-purple silk scarf tied around her waist. Her long hair was tied in a single ponytail, held by a purple, ladylike headband.

"Xia Yuyin, if possible, I'd be willing to lose to you." Xin Liang couldn't resist flirting even at a ti like this.

Yuyin's supporters in the stands imdiately erupted in a chorus of boos.

"Tch, shut up!"

"Acting like you could actually beat her."

The match began. Xin Liang was also one of the seeded players, currently ranked ninth among first-years in Academy Credits. He had already broken through to beco a Source Martial Practitioner at the end of September, reaching the Early-Stage of Spirit-Seeking.

Unlike a straightforward person like Chen Lei, Xin Liang ca from a large and powerful family and had a broader perspective. Xin Liang knew his chances of winning this match were slim. Winning or losing wasn't important, but the key was to display the style of the Xin family.

Xin Liang from the Five Elents Departnt, holding a plastic-steel iron fan, wore a white long gown. Standing there, he had a certain flair.

"Big Sister Yuyin, I'm counting on your rcy!" Xin Liang first perford a salute, then quickly closed the distance in a few steps.

It had been a long ti since Yuyin had exchanged blows with a new student from another departnt. Xin Liang, although lecherous, was a genius who had placed in the top eight in the water competition. She wondered how much he had improved in the past month of rigorous training at the Academy.

Xin Liang was seen with one hand behind his back, step by step closing in. The iron fan in his hand, like a curved blade, swiftly whipped towards Yuyin.
