54: The Top Female Examinee's Celebration Banquet

Neither the roaming demons in the city at night nor the cyan planet in the sky, like a small moon, could be photographed.

Yuyin thought for a mont and realized it made sense. If a phone could capture them, then other people should be able to see them too.

She recalled the Primordial Energy assessnt, when the sky had suddenly, for so unknown reason, darkened, and countless demons had appeared and road about. At that ti, she had clearly felt that at least a few examinees with exceptionally high Primordial Energy, like Yuwen Wenzhi, and several of the invigilating teachers could see them. They were, of course, no ordinary people.

But with such a grand phenonon, why had Lin Qianyi, the female prodigy from the Affiliated High School, who was clearly greatly affected, not ntioned it when she applied for a retest?

It seed this phenonon was sothing that could not be disclosed to the general public.

Why? Fear of causing panic? Chaos? That wasn't hard to understand.

Yuyin had never seen photos or videos of Night Spirits online, and now she could explain why.

So… what did these phenona really an? Was there so connection between the demons roaming the city and this planet that could not be photographed?

According to the acceptance letter, the start date for Lingdu Source Martial Academy was the sa as for everyone else: September 1st. It was now mid-July, a month and a half away from the start of school.

In the early morning, Lingdu was tinged with a faint purplish-red hue.

The morning light shone through the ters-tall glass into the hall, landing on Yuyin's jade-like, fair face.

At this mont, her hair was tied in a ponytail. She wore a black, tight-fitting tank top, a white belt around her waist, and black tight leggings. She was leaning on a fitness machine, performing the basic body cultivation movents from the Imperial Daughter's Body Cultivation.

Lingdu Source Martial Academy was a place that gathered the nation's top geniuses. Although Yuyin was the top examinee, she couldn't afford to relax. Her cultivation ti was too short, and her foundation was not solid. She had to use this sumr vacation to build as strong a foundation as possible.

Otherwise, the nail that sticks out gets hamred down. She had a premonition that her ti as the top examinee at Lingdu Source Martial Academy might not be easy.

Physical cultivation was naturally the most fundantal of foundations, and Yuyin placed great importance on it.

Although these were the solo basic movents from the Imperial Daughter's Body Cultivation, they were not only highly difficult and physically demanding, but so of the postures were also not quite suitable for practicing in front of others.

So movents required footwork and took up a considerable amount of space.

Fortunately, Yuyin's living room was large, and she lived alone.

Otherwise, a posture like the one she was in now, bending her upper body forward and raising her hips high behind her, would be quite difficult to practice if soone were behind her, even if she was wearing leggings.

Among these basic movents, so targeted the whole body, while others focused on specific parts.

For example, three of the movents were specifically for cultivating the chest, the buttocks, and the legs.

"Hah, this is sowhat similar to so modern fitness concepts, but this body cultivation technique is much more profound and complex," Yuyin said, taking a sip of water from the side.

Although so of the movents weren't quite appropriate to be seen by others, in reality, every movent was beautiful. Only by integrating the rhythm of the female form into the cultivation could the effects be more pronounced. That was why the female figure in the God-Devouring Chess wore so little clothing; it was to embody a kind of beauty unique to female cultivation.

And Yuyin, wearing leggings, had her own charm. It wasn't necessarily true that the less one wore, the better the cultivation effect. This was a realization Yuyin had co to over the past few days of her own exploration. It could be said that different styles of attire yielded different cultivation effects. The best results ca from coordinating them and often changing into various styles of clothing for cultivation.

Now Yuyin began the exercises for her legs.

This was also composed of a series of movents.

Yuyin knelt on one knee, her other long, slender leg, sheathed in thin black silk fabric, stretched straight back. She continuously lifted and lowered it, her hands on the floor, her waist moving rhythmically back and forth.

Even through her leggings, the Primordial Energy of this high place in Lingdu, bathed in the morning light, seeped into Yuyin's moist thighs as she cultivated. The Primordial Energy was directly absorbed by her body as she ran the technique with full force, strengthening her legs. A key elent here was that she had to maintain a graceful posture and even an absorbed expression. Otherwise, for an Imperial Daughter's Body Cultivator, if the cultivation lost its aesthetic quality and developed obvious muscles and unattractive lines, it would disrupt the balance between strength, speed, coordination, charm, and artistic conception, which would in turn impair her actual strength.

A woman's exertion of force was very subtle; it wasn't just about brute force and aggressive attacks.

Over the past few days, Yuyin had focused on cultivating her legs. If she were to use the Ancient Temple Leg Technique now, without controlling her strength, Zhang Biaoyang's fate would be much worse than just lying in a hospital for a month.

Ring-a-ling… Just as Yuyin was deeply engrossed in her training, her face flushed, the phone rang.

Yuyin wiped herself lightly with a towel and walked over to the coffee table to pick up her phone.

An unfamiliar number. The heat of the college entrance exam had died down, and neither reporters nor the schools were calling her much anymore. Who could it be?

"Hello," Yuyin answered, suppressing her panting.

"Hello, is this Xia Yuyin? It's Principal Zhang."

"Principal?"

The caller was the principal of Yuyin's alma mater, Lingdu No. 21 National Senior High School.

Principal Zhang told Yuyin that the Lingdu Clerical Division was full of praise for her achievent and planned to invite figures from the Lingdu literary world and other famous personalities to hold a celebration banquet for her, the top female examinee.

After all, although Lingdu was a large city with a constant stream of talented people and many good academies, she was the first top examinee in the unified Source Martial College Entrance Exam. And since they had heard she had been accepted by Lingdu Source Martial Academy, they naturally wanted to hold a grand banquet to celebrate.

To be honest, Yuyin didn't really want to participate in such an event.

But this was initiated by the Clerical Division, and various dignitaries had been invited. If Yuyin didn't go, it would seem too arrogant. Besides, she had received the 1.5 million reward from the nation. How could she not attend this official event?

Yuyin, of course, politely agreed.

The banquet was on Saturday evening.

On a street in Lingdu, Zhang Henglong was driving an older black Passat, a cigarette butt in his mouth, while on the phone.

"Hey? Old Li… what? A celebration banquet for the top female examinee? What the hell does that have to do with ? I'm not going, not going!"

"What? She's from the sa school as my nephew? How could their crappy school produce a top examinee? What's her na? I'll ask Biaoyang later."

"Xia Yuyin?" Zhang Henglong's tiger-like eyes widened, the cigarette butt at the corner of his mouth tilted up as he took a sharp breath.
