165: Using the Mountain as a Stronghold

These two alien tribesn were wearing dark blue Daoist robes, similar to the ones from yesterday. Yuyin had roughly figured out that the dark blue robes belonged to those with relatively weaker strength. One of them was at the Spirit-Seeking Realm, and he felt he had only recently broken through. The other was at the Perfection-Stage of Spirit-Seeking Realm.

"Brother, I heard the Realm Gate has been captured by our side. Countless Xia people are dead or injured. Are there really any living Xia students here?" the weaker of the two young alien tribesn asked.

"Master gave an order last night. He said a Xia female genius might be hiding in this mountain. We must guard this place strictly. Killing one Xia genius is better than killing a hundred ordinary Xia students. This Xia female genius must die!" the alien tribesman at the Spirit-Seeking Realm said harshly, his body emitting a fierce killing intent.

"You want to kill ?" Yuyin's eyes turned cold. She suppressed her aura and quietly approached, using the vegetation for cover.

However, no matter how well she suppressed her aura, she would be discovered if she got too close. When Yuyin had stealthily approached within a dozen steps of them, the alien tribesman at the Spirit-Seeking Realm seed to have noticed sothing unusual and turned to look around warily.

Now!

Yuyin suddenly leaped into the air, treading on air. In a few steps, she was upon them. The silver light of her longsword flashed as she thrust out.

The alien tribesman at the Spirit-Seeking Realm was greatly alard and imdiately drew his sword to parry. However, Yuyin's sword was aid at the other one, who was slower to react and had just turned his head, staring in astonishnt at the scene before him.

Swish!

The silver Yue Maiden Longsword pierced the chest of the alien tribesman at a vital point.

"Xia... Xia woman!" The other alien tribesman slashed his sword toward Yuyin. Yuyin lightly jumped back to dodge, but the alien tribesman did not pursue. Instead, he also quickly retreated several steps, took out a talisman from his robe, and threw it into the air while chanting silently.

The talisman did not fly toward Yuyin but shot straight into the air, exploding into a large cloud of dark red smoke with a sharp whistling sound.

"He's alerting his companions!" Yuyin was startled.

After throwing the talisman, the alien tribesman at the Spirit-Seeking Realm did not attack Yuyin. Instead, he turned and fled at full speed into the mountain forest. He had heard last night that this Xia woman was a genius who had killed three of his Brothers. From their brief exchange, he felt he was likely no match for her, so he imdiately began to flee.

Yuyin, however, stood her ground. She drew a Snow Silver Throwing Knife from a hidden pouch on her belt. Her arm and the blade of the knife glowed with condensed Primordial Energy.

Whoosh!

She threw the knife with great force. Unlike ordinary throwing knives, Yuyin's Snow Silver Throwing Knife was very heavy and incredibly fast. With a flash of silver light, the knife buried itself deep in the back of the fleeing alien tribesman. The powerful impact of the knife was so great that it sent him flying, and he fell to the ground several ters away.

Yuyin noticed that the alien tribesn cultivators she had encountered these past two days didn't seem to have particularly strong bodies, but their Primordial Energy cultivation was mostly excellent. They also had many treasures and were skilled at using them, as well as talismans.

A single throwing knife, striking a vital point, had been enough to kill him.

"Hmm?" At this mont, Yuyin felt that the auras of several others nearby had grown stronger and were accelerating toward this location.

This must be because of the signal they had just seen, combined with the eruption of Primordial Energy from the battle.

Yuyin retrieved her knife, took the treasure pouches from the two alien tribesn, gave a cold glance around, and without hesitation, ran back into the great mountain of the King Zheng.

A mont later, alien tribesn cultivators in dark Daoist robes arrived one after another. There were five or six of them, along with a middle-aged woman cultivator in a pale cyan Daoist robe with a sinister face. This woman had the strength Perfection-Stage of Spirit-Seeking Realm. Holding a horsetail whisk, she walked over, her face grim as she examined the two dead disciples.

"Where is that Xia woman!?" the middle-aged woman cultivator, with her hair in a topknot, asked fiercely.

"Martial Aunt, when I arrived, I felt an aura run up the mountain," an alien tribesman at the Mid Stage of the Spirit-Seeking Realm said, pointing at the deep, gloomy mountain.

"Ai!" The others around stomped their feet in frustration.

"Didn't Master say there was an extrely powerful alien beast on this mountain? Why has that Xia woman been on the mountain for a day and is still alive?" one of the alien tribesn asked.

"I say, that beast probably doesn't eat people. Why don't we chase after her and kill the Xia woman!" a young man shouted fiercely.

"No!" The middle-aged woman waved her horsetail whisk to stop them. "Before I ca, soone found my Martial Uncle's... tattered, blood-soaked robe in the ravine on the other side of this mountain. Master has concluded that he was killed by that alien beast. We must not enter the mountain to court death. In fact, we need to stay even farther away."

"Then, what about that Xia woman? Are we just going to let her kill our people and hide in the mountain?"

"Hmph... she won't last long. The Realm Gate has been captured by us; she has no way back. All the Xia people in the area have been wiped out by us. She, alone, no matter how much of a genius she is, is just a junior. In this Prison Abyss, she won't live long. She'll either be eaten by the alien beast in this mountain, or she'll die sowhere in the Prison Abyss." The middle-aged woman stared at the dark mountain with a sinister gaze and sneered.

Hearing this, the few young alien tribesn felt sowhat vindicated.

"Don't surround the mountain too tightly. That beast might even attack those at the edge of its territory. Also, we must prevent that Xia woman, with her back against the wall, from going mad and coming out to fight to the death, specifically targeting our lone, weaker disciples," the middle-aged woman cultivator said.

"Yes, Martial Aunt!"

At this mont, Yuyin had already returned to the mountain. She opened the treasure pouches of the two alien tribesn. There weren't many Source Crystals inside, only seven or eight. Combined with what she had left, they would be enough for tomorrow's cultivation.

Just then, Yuyin sensed that the King Zheng seed to be on the other side of the mountain, emitting a powerful aura. It was probably hunting.

"The King Zheng is hunting, and he's far from this side. That ans... he's far from the Purple Qi."

Yuyin walked briskly toward the high cliff face where the Purple Qi was located.

The Zheng was far away now, so Yuyin sat down in a corner at the base of the cliff, took a few deep breaths to adjust her state, and imdiately began to use the Feather Absorption technique, hastily absorbing the Purple Qi.

Absorbing the Purple Qi was an extrely pleasurable sensation. As the Purple Qi flowed into her body and entered her Purple Source Palace, it slowly condensed into Purple Brilliance. If the Purple Brilliance were to erupt during battle, her strength could instantly increase by a fraction. However, the amount of Purple Brilliance was scarce; she estimated she could only use it for one or two moves before it was gone.

Moreover, the Ruling Crystal at the core of her Purple Source Palace needed to absorb a little Purple Brilliance along with Spirit Water to slowly and further advance her realm.

"There's too little Purple Brilliance right now. It's better to maintain the ability for an instant burst of combat power. Preserving my life is the priority. I won't use it for cultivation for now," Yuyin thought to herself.

Just as Yuyin was comfortably absorbing the Purple Qi while thinking, a terrifying aura descended upon her from above and behind.

Yuyin's eyes snapped open, and she felt a chill down her spine.

The King Zheng had returned!

It was standing on the cliff wall, over a hundred ters above her.

The Zheng leaped down, landing back in the Purple Qi col. It turned around, its eyes, which glinted with a green light that made Yuyin's heart pound, looked at her with suspicion.

This is bad. I was so absorbed in my cultivation that I neglected to pay attention to the King Zheng's location!

I wonder if it noticed absorbing the Purple Qi here...
