When Zhao Yao questioned him, Gaia imdiately replied, "This is the latest VR ga console from Apple! Zhao Yao give it back to please!"
Zhao Yao did not care about Gaia, who was jumping at his feet trying to snatch the ga console back. He stared at the eyewear in his hand as his heart skipped a beat. "This can’t be... Does that an this uses the power of the Awareness Dinsion..."
At that mont, Zhao Yao suddenly felt his legs give way and found himself slowly sinking into the ground. Gaia actually activated his burrowing ability to make Zhao Yao sink down.
When he saw Gaia pouncing on the ga console, Zhao Yao said with exasperation, "Okay fine, I’ll return it to you after I try it. I’m not going to snatch it from you."
Gaia replied angrily, "This is linked to one’s identification card! Only one person is entitled to one console and one user ID! If you use it, I won’t be able to use it anymore!" Gaia widened his eyes as he continued, "Zhao Yao, Zhao Yao! I waited a really long for this ga console, I will die if I don’t get it. Don’t snatch it from , please?"
Zhao Yao thought for a while and said, "I’ll buy another one for you. Let use it today first."
"Noooo," Gaia said as he started to panic. "Today is the opening day of Closed World! I want to level up quickly!"
Zhao Yao asked curiously, "Closed World?"
Gaia quickly explained, "It’s the ga in the VR ga console. This is the only ga in it for now. It’s called Closed World!"
"So it’s an online VR ga," Zhao Yao said as his eyes flashed with delight. Even if this thing had nothing to do with the Awareness Dinsion, he had to try playing with it.
He was too fixated on completing missions every day and night, so he did not know about the release of this ga console.
Though it was only released recently, news of the ga had gone viral even before it appeared on the market as it was a VR gimmick produced by a renowned brand like Apple.
Seeing Gaia’s pitiful face, Zhao Yao did not want to bully his own cat either. Hence, he returned the ga console to Gaia and left the Cat Island. He headed to the Apple exclusive retailer downtown to buy one for himself instead.
However, he found out that this ga was actually really hot in the market as it was sold out in the store and would only be restocked after two days.
Hence, Zhao Yao decided to just buy it at 10 tis the original price from a buyer who had just bought the ga console. He rushed back to the Cat Wonderland excitedly to try out the ga.
Zhao Yao lay on the bed after wearing the device, with Arthas and Diana flanking his sides.
Zhao Yao said to both cats, "After I start using this thing, you guys should observe carefully to see if there is indeed a relation to the Awareness Dinsion..."
After instructing them, Zhao Yao switched to Diana’s dream abilities and turned on the ga console. After burst of rainbow-colored light, he realized he had appeared in the midst of a vast grassland.
"This is..."
Slling the light fragrance in the air and hearing the hustling of the wind in his ears, Zhao Yao could not help feeling touched as he stared into the endless horizon on the grassland.
"Virtual reality huh..." He grasped his knuckles. If not for the fact that his physique was changed to that of a normal human with his five senses greatly reduced, he would almost have mistaken it for reality.
However, Zhao Yao’s expression hardened instantly. If this so-called VR was created from the power of the Awareness Dinsion, it would an that the imnsely strong supercats from outer space had actually arrived on Earth and started to make their move.
"In that case, is this a dreamscape?" Zhao Yao closed his eyes as he willed himself to activate his superpowers.
However, just as he thought of doing so, bright red light suddenly flashed in his eyes as a bolt of lightning struck. A monstrous beast which radiated lightning bolts all over its body suddenly appeared in front of him and said, "Closer, do you want to start your journey?"
Zhao Yao was dazed for a mont, but he recovered almost instantly. That must have been the opening scene of the ga, skillfully created using VR.
However, Zhao Yao did not answer him and his eyes remained closed. He wanted to activate Diana’s ability to see if he was in a dream.
However, as Zhao Yao activated Diana’s ability to enter a dream, the grassland before him turned into two colors, black and red, as countless police sirens rang all around him.
Zhao Yao imdiately opened his eyes and saw a giant cat appearing slowly in the sky, though he could not see it clearly.
The cat silhouette looked in Zhao Yao’s direction and said, "Is that a superpower you carry around with you? However... it’s too insignificant."
"I’ll let it go this ti and suspend your ID for 3 days. If you use your superpower to penetrate the Closers World again, your ID will be permanently suspended."
Zhao Yao was taken aback. "This is..."
The next mont, cat paws filled the sky and slamd down on him. Zhao Yao felt his vision turn dark as his body started aching in pain all over. When he opened his eyes again, he was back to reality.
He wanted to stand up, but he suddenly groaned and clutched his head as he frowned in pain. At that mont, he suddenly had a headache and his body felt weak. He felt like he badly needed sleep.
"Would I feel so terrible if I died in there?"
Diana imdiately leapt on Zhao Yao and asked, "Zhao Yao, Zhao Yao, are you alright?"
Zhao Yao exhaled and slowly said, "Yeah, did you guys spot any problems?"
Arthas said in a serious tone, "I felt a connection between your body and the Awareness Dinsion just now. It was unbelievable. This place is unlikely to be the link to the Awareness Dinsion. However, you could actually connect to it through this ga console."
Diana said, "Zhao Yao, you fell asleep just now. I wanted to enter your dream but I was totally barred from it. As if... as if your dream had beco an impregnable fortress. I could not enter it at all."
Zhao Yao nodded. "The virtual reality I just entered must have been so sort of dreamscape. However, this dreamscape is very unique. It might just exist within the Awareness Dinsion."
Looking at the ga console in his hand, Zhao Yao said, "If we guessed correctly, the other party must have created a special dreamscape in the Awareness Dinsion. Everyone can be connected to the dreamscape through this ga console and supposedly play a ga."
Arthas said seriously, "Zhao Yao, actually I sensed another thing. After you fell asleep, there were signs of activity in your ntal energy, as if sothing was being sucked into the Awareness Dinsion."
"Is that so?"
Zhao Yao’s expression hardened. Though he did not know what the other party was planning to do, the difference between them was obvious.
The other party had created an online ga-like dreamscape in the Awareness Dinsion, while he could not even activate his abilities to enter this dream.
Even after he was connected to this dreamscape through the ga console, he was killed instantly.
"Applying this to the Awareness Dinsion, the power difference between and them is too great. I must speed up."
