Once he sensed that he was not able to get an answer from them, Zhao Yao quickly took Fish Ball away and continued to walk around the main hall, looking for news of Arthas.
At that mont, an Asian man kept staring at Zhao Yao before he finally walked up to Zhao Yao and said, "Zhao Yao? Is that you?"
Zhao Yao was stunned for a mont as he thought, "What the f*ck... what’s going on? How did soone here recognize ? Is he kidding?"
The guy smiled slightly when he saw the stunned expression on Zhao Yao’s face. He said in surprise, "Zhao Yao? Don’t you recognise ? I am Coco Wang, your university friend Coco Wang."
Zhao Yao paused for a mont before he replied, "... I rember that Coco Wang is a woman."
"I had sex reassignnt surgery! I went to Thailand," The guy said. "You know that right? Slicing XXX off, extending OOO, then slicing XXX into..."
Zhao Yao gulped when he heard that and quickly interjected, "Okay, okay. I get it. You can stop there."
"Keke, I am Wang Jiuyang now. The Aricans call Peter." Wang Jiuyang seed to have only noticed Zhao Yao’s get-up and asked curiously, "Zhao Yao, what are you busy with these days? How did you end up here?"
Zhao Yao was speechless. He did not want to reply to him at all. After all, it was too much trouble to be recognized by soone here. He thought of how he should find a chance to let Elizabeth and her family wipe out this guy’s mories.
Seeing Zhao Yao’s speechless face, Wang Jiuyang patted Zhao Yao’s shoulder knowingly and said, "There’s no obstacle too difficult to overco in life. This is my na card. Co and look for anyti if you need help."
Zhao Yao had no choice but to accept the na card. He glanced at it and realized that he had actually beco the CEO of a tech company and seed to be doing well now.
After all, if he could attend Arthas’ party, he should be pretty well off.
Wang Jiuyang said sowhat gloatingly, "It’s all because of the help I got from friends and family. I rember you did pretty well in your professional courses back in uni, being a servant here is too much of a waste for you. If you want to find a job, co and look for anyti."
When he finished talking, he patted Zhao Yao’s shoulder and walked off. After all, Zhao Yao’s speechlessness and exasperation made Wang Jiuyang believe that Zhao Yao did not want him to see himself at this low point in his life. "It’s been five years since graduation. Seeing Wang Jiuyang leave, Zhao Yao rolled his eyes and said, "Keep a close watch on this guy. Brainwash him before we leave and wipe out this part of his mories."
Zhao Yao and Fish Ball walked around for a while more. At that mont, the whole hall suddenly blacked out before a ray of light lit up in the dark, shining on a spot at the staircase on the second floor.
A fully white cat stood there, as if it ca right out from a picture. In that instant, everyone’s attention was fixed on him.
His eyes were blue and yellow, emitting an alluring and charming aura. Even humans felt the urge to hold him in their arms and care for him.
When he slowly descended the steps, the movent of every muscle, every hair on his body was clearly imprinted in the minds of the crowd, as if soone carved it into their minds with a knife.
At that mont, everything else was dark. This white cat beca the center of everyone’s attention.
Next, sound waves floated across everyone’s minds as he said, "Hi everyone. Greetings and a warm welco for all of you who attended my banquet today."
Zhao Yao mumbled to himself, "Arthas... This voice is directly sent to the mind. It’s not telepathic communication. I’s through directly controlling the brain’s surface layer to receive information..."
Zhao Yao was an expert at using illusions himself. Elizabeth’s sensory illusions were right on his fingertips, ready to be used. He was all too familiar with things like directly controlling the brain to receive ssages.
"A troubleso superpower. I wonder what’s his dium of control and the extent of his control."
Although Arthas revealed this power the mont he stepped out, it was still too little information. Zhao Yao was still unable to figure out the whole picture behind his superpowers.
Just as everyone was srized by Arthas’ movents, a gunshot was heard. Zhao Yao could clearly see a bullet flying through the air and bursting through Arthas’ body in an instant, causing blood to spurt out of the cat’s body as he rolled down the stairs.
Screams! Fury! Panic! Pandemonium broke out at once.
Zhao Yao did not move an inch as he focused his senses on the surroundings.
"That Arthas is a fake. He has no heartbeat or sll at all. It should be an illusion."
"There isn’t only one hitman. The whole hall has been surrounded."
"Do they all have rifles with them? Looks like it’s not an average superpower force."
However, the next mont, a change in the hall shocked everyone, even Zhao Yao. An invisible wave of power spread out from the center of the hall in all directions. Where it passed every apostle and supercat scread in shock.
"What happened to my ability?"
"Why is my superpower gone?"
"What on earth is happening?"
As the superpowers of every cat and man disappeared, the sound of a gunshot was heard, scaring everyone into wanting to flee. However, they realized that all the exits in the main hall were blocked by n in black who had rifles in their hands.
As the superpowers lost their effects, the supercats on Zhao Yao’s body were no longer invisible and appeared one by one beside Zhao Yao, dropping on the floor.
However at that mont no one cared about the cats on Zhao Yao’s body anymore. Everyone was too frightened by the sudden attack that rendered their superpowers useless.
"Stop moving! Squat down! Put your hands over your heads! Cats flip over with your stomachs facing up." A brown-haired, brown-eyed guy raised his rifle and shouted, "As long as you guys cooperate obediently we will not hurt anyone."
Every human squatted down, and every cat flipped over with their stomachs facing upwards.
A few n in black with rifles in their hands ran over to the spot where Arthas fell. Just as Zhao Yao predicted, the Arthas lying on the floor turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared after being kicked.
The brown-haired leader scoffed and shouted, "Arthas, I know you are in the main hall. Quickly co out, unless you want to make all these people here be buried with you."
Arthas naturally did not reply. The brown-haired guy laughed mirthlessly. "Don’t waste your efforts. The whole manor has now beco a superpower-banned realm. No one and no cat can use their superpowers."
"Get the hell out here, Arthas! You weren’t such a coward when you sent apostles to attack my hotown."
Seeing how Arthas was hiding like an ostrich with no intention to co out, the brown-haired leader said, "Great, so you don’t want to co out? Then I’ll kill these hostages until you co."
He scanned around the main hall. Suddenly, Fish Ball, Elizabeth and Ares and the bunch of cats caught his eye. He aid his gun right at Fish Ball and said, "Arthas, I’ll count to three. If you still refuse to co out, I will shoot."
"1!"
"Ah!!"
