Chapter 916: Chapter 295: Lawyer Tang’s Everyday Leisure Life_3

In his words, since he’s free anyway, he might as well spend his ti either squabbling with other lawyers at the firm or picking fights with the courthouse staff – spreading the joy equally.

The clerks at the case registration window get a headache whenever they see Old Tang, knowing all too well what he’s there for.

Out of all the big law firms in Jingzhou, only Lawyer Tang is willing to do this sort of thing.

The other heads of those big firms couldn’t care less; they’d just let things drag on. What’s the hurry after all? If a client asks, they’d say it’s the court’s fault for stalling the case. Go make a scene at the court if you dare.

But this ti, there’s a way to handle it!

So, no sooner had Old Tang finished submitting his docunts than a balding man, his hairline receding to a near diterranean shape, blocked his path.

“Old… Old Zhou? It’s been a while. What brings you here right before the New Year?”

Old Zhou in front of him chuckled, “This is the court, I’m a Judge, what do you think I’m doing here? But what about you? What happened to that thing you promised ?”

“Oh co on, Old Zhou, don’t say that… An exemplary case isn’t like a leek you can pluck from the earth whenever you want. I’m still searching for one, but our Bright District is just too peaceful; I can’t find such cases.”

“What crap you’re spouting. This carefree life of yours as ‘Lawyer Tang’ is well known. All you do is quibble with other lawyers day in and day out. You’re just here to cause trouble for the case registration court at the end of year, aren’t you?” retorted Old Zhou with a sneer.

“What kind of person do you take for, Tang Fangjing?”

While they exchanged these heated words, other people in the registration court held back their laughter and broke up the argunt.

The exchange couldn’t go on any longer since they began cursing each other out.

Old Tang cursed Old Zhou wishing him an 80% overturn rate in appeals next year, while Old Zhou cursed that Old Tang would never make it to the Supre Court in his lifeti.

After being separated, both n cald down.

“So, diation work is still pretty tough, huh?”

Old Zhou sighed and frowned, “It’s too difficult. Those who owe debt and won’t pay, I really don’t know what to do with them.”

“Here’s an idea for you, it might not solve many problems, but it can certainly tackle a few,” said Old Tang, grinning mysteriously.

“Oh? What’s the idea?”

“You could hire so foreigners to act as diators, especially those from countries that don’t get along well with us, like Koreans, Indians, and so on,” giggled Old Tang.

This left Old Zhou even more baffled: “Hire them? That seems tough, it’s rare to find any who can speak fluent Chinese. Even if they could, could they really do the job?”

“Of course they can. Even if they don’t speak Chinese, no big deal. They just need to learn one line, and that line is: ‘You Chinese people have no integrity.'”

“But be cautious with the Japanese folks, if they say sothing like that it might cause a conflict. Even if it could create camaraderie from fighting the ‘little devils’ and solve the issue, it’s rather tough on the diator and not ideal for publicity…”

Dumbstruck, Old Zhou gazed at Tang Fangjing. Could a normal person even co up with such an idea?

It felt strange, yet oddly seed like it could solve a part of the problem.

Old Tang left with a sly chuckle, having not the faintest clue about exemplary cases.

Of course it wasn’t just a random idea; it had actually happened in his past life, when a very enthusiastic Korean exchange student wanted to be a diator.

The court had no choice but to let him try because of his zeal, and it turned out the guy’s success rate in diation was astonishing!

All because he used that one line.

But such a tactic is better suited for small places where foreigners are rarely seen; in first-tier cities, it would be asking for trouble, as both parties might just end up mocking each other.

As he just stepped out of the courthouse, Old Tang’s phone rang; it was Ju Haiqing calling.

After all, Ju was once his major client. Old Tang swiftly answered, “What’s up, Big Gold… I an Old Ju, what’s the matter?”

“Lawyer Tang, it’s about… A childhood friend of mine got into trouble, he’s been arrested!”

“Arrested? Don’t panic, take it slow, tell what happened.”

Over the phone, Ju Haiqing’s voice sounded again: “Before he was dismissed by his company, he said he was planning to ask for compensation, and threatened to report the company’s tax fraud on the internet if they didn’t pay up. But today his mother called , saying he’s been arrested for extortion…”

“Lawyer Tang, are you available to take a look at this soon?”
