Tretiya had been missing for a long ti and upon her return, she beca the supre leader of the Ta Wei army.

Tens of thousands of Red Eye Army soldiers followed her lead, her aura vast and mighty, her combat power having surpassed 3500.

It was imaginable that Tretiya had sided with the Deity and even climbed to the highest position.

"Tretiya, why would you..." Noah’s face was filled with disappointnt. He never thought that a forr comrade would beco the greatest enemy.

"Only in this way can I obtain the teacher," Tretiya said indifferently.

"Are you all sick? Is Su Ming’an that attractive? Do you all behave like you’re ill?" Yamada Machiichi couldn’t help but scoff, not realizing he too was drawn in.

"Swish!"

With a slash of her knife, a gap suddenly appeared in the Defensive Barrier. Only Noah could counter her; Su Rin had been fighting in the wilderness and her whereabouts were unknown.

"——Hand over Yasa Acto!"

"——Hand over Yasa Acto!"

Behind her, the military formation repeated over and over again, with a rumbling montum.

"Boom——!!" Swords clashed, and Noah’s body exploded with bright lights. Countless doves and white falcons flew from his fingertips, turning into streams of light to block Tretiya’s body.

Lu’s fingertips outlined a golden light blade, shooting out. Noel, holding white silk threads, countered the sharp edge sliced by Tretiya. Violet, Dong Xu, Cheng, and others also put forth all their efforts to exert their power.

"Slash——!"

Another crack erged on the Defensive Barrier, brows furrowed all around, Tretiya’s speed was too fast, and if she were allowed to continue slashing...

"Where is Su Rin!" Lu couldn’t help but exclaim.

"Ghost knows," Yamada Town One responded.

He suddenly looked up.

"Wait, perhaps I really do have a ntal connection with Su Ming’an..." Yamada Town One said, "I feel like he’s coming..."

"Rumble rumble rumble——!"

A fierce boom resounded at that mont.

A spectacular scene unfolded—within everyone’s field of vision, nurous frenziedly flashing crimson scales appeared above the tens of thousands of troops, resembling a sea of blood at a glance.

The Red Eye soldiers had a look of confusion, thick muck surging around them, and even Tretiya was controlled and pushed back by this move, with Noah propelling her dozens of ters away. She coughed up a mouthful of blood, her eyes filled with crimson halos.

A figure descended from the sky.

"How did he still co..." Noel sighed.

"Truly a Savior-like entrance," Violet said.

People watched, discussed, whispered, and hope flickered in their eyes.

"City Lord."

The Captain of the city defense forces knelt down, the damaged armor making a clattering sound, the ground whitened by a layer of frost.

Behind Su Ming’an, the modified air-borne artillery lit up, flashing with buzzing electrical sounds.

His face expressionless, he raised his hand, and released it down!

"Boom boom boom——!!"

A series of terrifying numbers soared, even breaking through the six thousand mark, and on the battlefield, whether Players or soldiers of the Ta Wei army, all were enveloped by this bombardnt. The air-borne artillery’s most formidable state covered a vast range, a single strike engulfing nearly half the battlefield.

"Damn it!" Dozens of Players used special Props to escape, terrified and trembling: "Once this Ninth World is over, the Number One Player will truly be invincible."

"No wonder soone posted about being afraid of him. Who wouldn’t fear such bombardnt tactics? After the world ga, we’re essentially cannon fodder..."

...

"Ding-dong!"

[You have leveled up to a (Fourth Rank 8) Player.]

...

Seeing the situation turning dire, Tretiya turned to flee. With a call of "retreat," her army formations moved with her, scattering in various directions.

"Lewis, chase Tretiya! That most powerful deity is now within her—the only known way to weaken a deity is to kill the person the deity has officially invaded, just as I did with you before. She must die!" Bi’s voice ca:

"Only by weakening that most powerful deity first will I have the subsequent ans to save this world! You don’t have to sacrifice yourself!"

Su Ming’an nodded and turned to dash out.

Bi had been quietly working on sothing. Since she said there was a way, then there must be. TE4 couldn’t possibly be a dead end.

"Boom, boom, boom—!"

A barrage of artillery shells fell, furiously bombing his location.

The chase lasted a long ti. The Red Eye Army desperately tried to block his path. Noel and others charged out with him, clearing the way, soaked in blood and gore, turning the land outside the city into a bloody hue in no ti.

"Ding-dong!"

[The (Doomsday City) faction has chosen to go to war. All those affiliated with the (Doomsday City) faction will receive a Faction Contribution Points boost during this battle.]

...

"Damn! Fight’s on, everyone to the front lines!"

"A boost in Contribution Points, oh so many Contribution Points!"

Players rushed forward like dogs spotting at.

[HP-4827! (Critical Hit! Combat Power Suppression!)]

[HP 982! (Healing Critical Hit!)]

[HP-198! (Burning! Continuous Damage!)]

...

Rows of frantic numbers soared, with players’ silhouettes moving in an impressive display. Red and green numbers flickered, signifying spells being cast, magicians afflicting damage over ti, arrows being shot, healing administered... accompanied by the occasional white light of leveling up, reminiscent of large-scale battlegrounds in online gas.

Upon learning of Bi’s plan, Doomsday City saw this as the best chance to end the wasteful consumption of resources and chose to throw open its gates wide. Four armies, totaling three hundred thousand troops, raced out, with thousands of military trucks kicking up dust, looking like long yellow dragons. In the distance, four hundred thousand troops were ordered to regroup, as if suddenly reviving the Dawn War that happened decades ago.

Ta Wei’s military strength was nothing to scoff at, as the deities endowed them with advanced technology and resources. As soon as the battle began, figures piled upon one another in a massive crowd, bustling with soldiers and an endless brilliance of light.

"Boom, boom, boom—!"

The piercing sound of artillery shells was like thunder, creating a relentless whirlwind of black and gray. The dazzling brilliance of energy explosions glowed captivatingly. Small airships, military trucks, cars, and even motorcycles... black shadows dragged across under the crimson sun, each carrying gun-toting soldiers, amidst the intense roaring of floating turrets, making life seem as insignificant as grains of sand in that mont.

When the two armies clashed, their numbers surpassed a million. Humans fought desperately in the last monts of exhaustive resources, with both sides eager to annihilate the other. Whether one had red eyes seed to have beco a racial identifier. This was not a war amongst humans but rather one of race, where the complete extermination of one side was the only way to secure peace for the other.

Ta Wei’s army fought as they retreated, always keeping Tretiya in the safest spot. The Freedom Alliance army of Doomsday City launched a full assault, with everyone but the defensive garrison taking part in the war.

If they could avoid bowing to Ta Wei, no one wanted to.

If humans could live standing, no one wanted to die cowering on their knees.

"—Acto! I’m here to help you! If we can strike at the deity, we’re not fighting aimlessly!"

Beili Sier rushed to aid, and shouted at Su Ming’an. Surrounded by points of light, the firearms in people’s hands seed to co alive.

He left the tranquil valley to join the world he loathed most, his white hair floating behind him like snow.

"——City Lord! Advance!"

This was Cheng Luohe’s voice, as he steadied a bright red sniper rifle atop the wall, taking aim. Even past forty, he still possessed a pair of youthful, piercing eagle eyes. The bullet spun out, sniping the high-combat-power enemy approaching Su Ming’an.

"——Lewis, don’t look back!"

Bi swung Black Blade, with streams of 0s and 1s flowing beside her. The enemy that touched her fell as if hit by a virus. She held her head high, pouring her voice into his mind.

"——Grandpa! I’ll clear the way for you!" Noah shouted, dashing forward like a golden blade.

Su Ming’an rushed all the way here and couldn’t help but say, "Don’t call that anymore."

Who knew, Noah would also turn back while rushing, his tears streaming down:

"——I can’t not call you Grandpa! Grandpa! I’m afraid if one day I stop calling you Grandpa, you’ll disappear again!"

...So this was the reason Noah always called him Grandpa.

...So there were people who feared losing him this much.

At this mont, Su Ming’an’s ears were filled with all sorts of voices.

Sen’s team had sohow arrived, their bodies drenched with the heavy night rain.

"City Lord Lewis, I’ve thought for a long ti, you’ve been so gracious to us. I’m just an old bag of bones, I really couldn’t bring myself to be ungrateful," said Sen. "Moreover, before his death over a decade ago, Xia Sheng entrusted to always follow the City Lord’s side; I cannot ignore his last wishes..."

He waved a blood-red cape, whose color resembled blood from soldiers fallen in the beacons of war.

"Xiao Shuai, why did you leave without telling , if I had sobered up by dawn, I would have stopped you..." Shi said.

"Ming’an, I’ll cover your retreat!" Yuanyuan, wielding an electric light sword, once again threw herself into the fray.

"Su Ming’an, move forward!" Lu leaped down from the city wall, entering the most chaotic and dangerous battlefield.

"Number One Player..."

"Lord Acto..."

"Sect Hierarch of Lighthouse..."

"Husband..."

Interestingly, Su Ming’an heard at least dozens of different calls for him, as if he ant sothing completely different to each person.

So cleared the way for him with no regard for their own safety, so sniped soldiers for him, so pushed him forward with their ’Yuan’, so covered him fearlessly from the side —— the back of his hand began to heat up, white pattern marks sparkling like stars, as if a scalding stream poured into his blood, running through his spine and limbs —— at this mont, his heart and the entire world were connected.

"Thump."

"Thump."

"Thump."

It sounded like boiling water bubbling, like the heart of the entire world thumping within his chest cavity.

He faintly realized that Acto’s body was connected to the whole world, but now was not the ti to think about it. Countless Yuan Guang had already gathered around him, crowding him like heavy snow —— this was precisely the unique ability of Acto he had discovered at the Beacon gathering place at the start —— he could command everyone’s "Yuan".

Their brilliance converged, surrounding him like a platinum castle. His voice poured into everyone’s mind, with the Missionary Halo boosting everyone’s morale.

For a mont, his voice scread with all his might, cutting through people’s numb brains like a blade.

"——Advance!!!"

Under his command, a multitude of voices rose abruptly, as if one stone had stirred a thousand waves. Different accents, pitches, and tones, at that mont, rged into one synchronised voice.

"——Advance!"

"——Advance!"

"Forward!"

Everyone advanced with similar postures and chants, paving the way for him.

With similar gazes, they embellished his Yuan Guang, making it sparkle like a gathering of starfire.

Under the barrage of gunfire, so, even in the face of death, smiled brilliantly as if they had found the aning of survival. Whether a group of dozens or an army of hundreds, they chose to squarely confront the bloody battle.

Those willing to die for him were ultimately different from the general populace.

Brilliant Yuan Guang surrounded Su Ming’an’s continuously advancing figure, as though he always did so, leading the way with a pioneer’s stance, marching forward with people’s hopes without ever looking back.

Yasa Acto could have enjoyed life after the Century Catastrophe as the most powerful being, but instead he gave his life to activate the Dawn System. The only ones with him at the end were one person, one cat, and a ginkgo tree.

His program consciousness could have lived on indefinitely with a bionic body. Yet, he chose to leave his safe haven ti and again, leaping off the edge of the world.

For the sake of others’ survival, he considered himself expendable. It seed his very purpose was to fight, to burn, to sacrifice.

His beliefs and efforts were not in vain, for most of Doomsday City’s denizens had followed in his footsteps. Of the millions of soldiers he had led over the decades, the vast majority had always believed in him.

Because of this, at this crucial mont, they were willing to repay him with battle and blood.

Besides, so Players were also willing to help Su Ming’an, the Number One Player representing humanity.

The sky was ablaze with flas that fell like a celestial funeral pyre, emitting a glow reminiscent of red spider lilies. The pursuit battle raged from day to night and from night till dawn. The battlefield was littered with countless casings, craters, and human skeletons. Viewed from afar, the land was pocked and ploughed as if the hand of God had marked the world’s visage.

There was a river of blood.

No phrase could be more apt to describe it.

People gasped for breath, their wounds and blood almost burying them. They felt the urge to collapse.

"Huff..."

Suddenly, a point of dim light ignited in the thick darkness of the night, shining like a wraparound starfire, illuminating the entire field––

"Swish!"

The remnants of explosions drifted in the sky, dawn was distant, and radiance descended, as if the dormant land awoke amidst the light. Drenched in blood, people looked up to the sunlight and gazed into the distance––they had fought their way to the edge of the world, where a High Tower ruled by Ta Wei stood.

At the forefront, Su Ming’an had stretched a long distance away from his army behind, like the sharpest spearhead. The light of dawn shone upon his features, and the upsurge of a Fourth Rank Level Nine engulfed him.

Near the world’s edge, he took a step, and the Amber Knife in his hand resonated as if with a mind of its own, countless Yuan Guangs becoming the Wildfire supporting him.

"Boom––!"

He swung his knife.

The last enemy formation in front of him shattered to pieces. Tretiya and others from the small army fled into the High Tower.

"You co up, Yasa, alone! Otherwise, I’ll launch all the missiles within the High Tower and blow you all to hell! No one will survive!!" Tretiya’s voice, desperate like a cornered beast, ca from the tower.

"I’ll go in. You stop the other armies," Su Ming’an told the people.

The army of Ta Wei seed boundless; they had only reached this point by breaching a gap in the enemy’s ranks and couldn’t recklessly charge in.

"Be careful, City Lord!"

People said.

Su Ming’an held his knife, switched to Bright State, and charged toward the High Tower.

...

The dazzling light at the edge of the world shone upon him.

He bathed in the light, like another dawn.
