"Co," the boss squinted, a hint of a crazy smile leaking from his blood-red eyes. "My dear two Kings."

In his hand, a strange light flashed.

Then, on both chessboards, all players except the Kings were engulfed in blood-red and deep-blue flas that burned brilliantly, as if they intended to turn their bodies entirely to ash.

"—Use your wisdom, wield the sword that represents the way of the King, and walk the most righteous path! The sacrificed companions are but stumbling blocks on the path to the highest position, you are Kings, you are... the most glorious, and also the most rational—"

The corners of its mouth stretched into an extrely upward arc, and the next mont, its laughter suddenly ceased, dark and almost suffocating:

"—Kings of the World."

The comnts surged instantly:

[This, these rules!?]

[This is forcing both sides to send their companions to death!]

[No... this is actually a very realistic rule.]

[What to do now? Su Ming’an is actually the Number One Player, I suddenly don’t want him to die.]

[Eni Your Highness... He shouldn’t fall here.]

[Appropriate sacrifices are always necessary...]

[...]

Eni’s eyes slightly brightened.

"Hans." His gaze t his companion’s, and after receiving an approving look, he clenched his fists, feeling a bright path just ahead:

"—Sacrifice Knight Hans, direct attack on the Red King!"

The next mont, the flas on Hans’s body suddenly soared.

The tall man, seemingly impervious to pain, cracked a small smile. He gave encouraging glances toward his own King, and then, transford into a deep blue Energy Wave, plumted toward the opponent!

"—Sacrifice Cloning, block Hans!" Su Ming’an imdiately ordered.

The fla abruptly flared up on the Cloning, and at the mont the fla ignited, Su Ming’an also felt the sa bone-deep, burning pain.

The next mont, the Cloning transford into a blood-red Energy and rose from the ground, rushing towards the blue light.

The Energy Wave transford from the Cloning and the Energy Wave transford from Hans collided, red and blue t at an instant, exploded in a violent shockwave, and then both were extinguished simultaneously.

"—Sacrifice Tower Selt, direct attack on the Red King!" Eni’s command was incredibly decisive.

He had only thought that the opponent was a typical preliminary Player, and even defeating him wouldn’t matter much; there was no need to risk a companion’s life.

But now, pushed to this extent, his left arm severed, and witnessed by everyone—when the person before him turned out to be the Number One Player, the endless desire for that first place engulfed him.

...Even if it ant sacrificing a companion’s life.

The blue light in Selt’s hand no longer appeared. Instead, his body transford into the blue light that charged at the enemy King.

Su Ming’an, looking at his now fully restored Mana Points, released the Cloning again.

His current Spirit is 16 points, Mana Points are 100 (16-5)*10, that is, 210 points. Cloning consus 80 points of Mana each ti, so he could release the Cloning two more tis.

"—Sacrifice Cloning, block Selt!" he commanded.

The lights t in an instant.

In the mont the Cloning touched the blue light, he also felt that pain and frenzy of burning one’s own life to launch the final strike.

His eyes gradually filled with blood, the pain spreading throughout his body intensifying, not just physically but also ntally. Constantly controlling Clonings that felt the sa as himself, sending them to die in such a painful way—he was also tornting himself.

Eni’s eyes t with Hubert’s for an instant and, understanding the aning in his eyes, clenched his fist and grit his teeth:

"Sacrifice... Bishop Hubert, direct attack on the Red King."

His voice was no longer impassioned, even carrying a sobbing tone.

"May you triumph," Hubert pushed up his glasses, his tone devoid of any resentnt. His gaze fixed on the blue King’s body, resting on his blond hair that shone like sunlight.

The next mont, flas burst forth. He transford into a teor and rushed forward.

At the sa ti, Su Ming’an released the last of his clones.

"— Sacrifice the clone, block Hubert." His gaze gradually grew distant.

Pain and burning sensation overwheld him again.

He felt like a whale about to sink to the ocean floor.

The chessboard of black and white in front of him blurred in his vision. He gasped for breath as endless pain engulfed his entire body.

Red and blue light waves collided intensely in the air and then gradually fell into silence.

All that remained were the King and the Queen of each side.

"Eni, my dear Eni," Qiao Liya twirled her blonde hair with her fingers, her gaze deeply affectionate as she looked at him: "Promise , beco the ultimate king, okay?"

Eni looked into her eyes, and then, with great difficulty, nodded.

The blonde woman looked at him and smiled.

"Sacrifice..." His voice unexpectedly choked up, he gripped his sword tightly, nearly biting out the words as he spoke:

"Sacrifice... Queen Qiao Liya. Attack the red King directly."

A burst of blue light ignited.

Rushing toward the red side.

Su Ming’an watched the light.

...He had no more clones to sacrifice, no clone to transform into light to block the opponent.

On the red side’s chessboard, only the King and his Queen stood.

The barrage fell into silence, everyone watched the scene, unsure of what to say.

The black-haired girl, holding a sword, stood in front of him.

"It’s your turn now, Ming’an," Yuanyuan smiled purely.

Su Ming’an looked at her.

"Sacrifice , let be your most sharp and useful sword," the girl smiled, her hand holding the sword slightly trembling, yet her gaze was as clear as a polished mirror.

"I understand," he said.

"Then, issue your command—let beco your so-called ’Lighthouse’," Yuanyuan’s tone beca instantly devout.

Up to now, she had not understood the aning of ’Lighthouse’ as described by Su Ming’an.

But that did not prevent her from seeing his nearly fanatic pursuit of it.

She wanted to be that entity.

"Everyone is watching you," the girl looked at him, her gaze bright, her tone gradually becoming solemn and deep, as if speaking the most enticing and sincere words of love:

"Co—issue the command, my Majesty."

...Sacrifice , burn .

Then, let beco...in the mont you achieve ultimate victory, the most dazzling,
