Chapter 21: The Dance

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Luo Ying and Su Ran were scheduled to perform a dance song for their stage collaboration. The company had already arranged the choreography and sent it to Luo Ying in advance. Luo Ying opened it to have a look, and realized that the company was really biased. They had actually given her all the difficult and mistake-prone songs.

In the original book, not only was Luo Ying humiliated on the red carpet, but she also frequently went out of tune on the stage. She danced out of rhythm, and her hands and feet were uncoordinated, forming a sharp contrast with Su Ran, who was on the sa stage.

“Hmph, I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you this ti.” This dance was indeed difficult for the original Luo Ying, but it was nothing for Luo Ying, who had practiced dancing since she was a child. It only took her less than half an hour to master the dance and quickly practice the movents and positioning.

To her, the only difficulty was that this wretched body was useless. She was already panting after a dance.

The next problem was singing. The original Luo Ying had not undergone any systematic vocal training. Even if Luo Ying knew how to vocalize, there was a very real problem in front of her. She did not have enough lung capacity, so it was very difficult for her to sing the high notes.

Fortunately, they shared the sa body, even if one had been trained since childhood, while the other had been grossly neglected. It had so innate talent in singing. Her body had a knack for vocal fries. She could replace the high notes with a rocky twist. She would eventually train this body to hit actual clean, high notes. Even so, there was no ti for that.

However, Luo Ying had a lot of experience on stage, so she had a way to deal with this situation, which was to skive. If she had to approach so high notes, she could emulate them with a touch of falsetto. After all, dance music were not that technically demanding.

After practicing the song a few tis, Luo Ying began to practice it with the dance.

Lu Zhao, who had just finished so work, heard so moving music coming from the rehearsing room when he was going upstairs. His mind flickered, and he turned around and walked to the rehearsing room.

The door of the rehearsal room was not closed tightly. He looked in through the crack of the door and saw Luo Ying facing the cara, swaying her body. The movent traveled from her shoulders to her proud bosom, and then to her slender waist. It was both powerful and gentle.

Her hand brushed across her face, sliding down from her heart. Lu Zhao’s eyes couldn’t help but follow her hand down. He felt as if her index finger had also slid down his heart, and a wave of numbness washed over him.

The image of Luo Ying touching the side of her face like a dragonfly treading the water appeared clearly in his mind.

Before Lu Zhao could imrse himself in these emotions, Luo Ying’s hand suddenly pulled back along with the beat of the drum and stretched out. Her hair, had been perd in elegant curls, was flung to the side neatly, like a blanket of clouds spreading in the sky, and then naturally fell on her shoulders.

She winked seductively at the cara, then smiled cheekily. Lu Zhao’s breathing caught in his throat. It was only a short, eight-beat movent, but in a few seconds, his mind was completely drawn in, and his emotions rose and fell with her movents.

Luo Ying obviously knew the cara very well. She knew how to show her beauty in front of the cara and how to “seduce” the audience behind the cara. Such control over the cara and stage was not sothing that could be mastered overnight.

What Luo Ying had just said was not a lie. If she put her mind to it, she could blow the world away.

Luo Ying continued dancing. Lu Zhao’s hand gripped the doorknob tightly, his mind filled with thoughts, but he couldn’t bear to go in and interrupt her.

Luo Ying moved with confidence and full mastery over her body. Her whole being seed to glow. She was so beautiful that it enchanted people. They yearned for her, and they would fantasize her. He wanted her beauty, her talents, all for himself.

Realizing that he had actually co up with such a thought, Lu Zhao was shocked. How could he have such a selfish thought? Such an excellent and beautiful Luo Ying should be born to stand on the stage.

As the dance ended, Luo Ying breathed a sigh of relief. She wiped the sweat off her face with her hand and unscrewed the bottle of mineral water she had temporarily used as a microphone. She took a few sips slowly and finally felt the heat in her heart that was about to explode ease a little.

“What?” She looked up and saw Lu Zhao from the reflection of the cara. “Why are you standing there?” She turned around and smiled. “If you want to watch, you can co in.”

Veteran perforrs were never shy of an audience. They would fear performing in the absence of one.
