"I-I … I went—"
"With Rully? Employee in this office, huh?" concluded Richard who suddenly made Ellena rounded.
Ellena imdiately thought that Richard knew about it from her mother and Richard seed to believe it, but she just replied casually to her mother. Even the figure Rully ntioned, she didn't know her at all. However, Richard's question seed to suggest that there really was an employee nad Rully in the office.
Ellena swiftly nodded enthusiastically, confirming Ellena's words.
"There's not even an employee nad Rully here, Patricia!" Richard snapped, pressing his hands on the table.
It suddenly made Ellena jump even more. Her eyes were perfect. Didn't think it turned out to be wrong. Oh shit. It turned out that Richard's question was only to set her up.
"I've asked the whole division and no one has ntioned that na!" Richard insisted again feeling sure that no one would dare lie to him regarding the identity of any employee.
Ellena was successfully made to die of lice. She really couldn't say anything to Richard. What else could she say, when she had already been caught lying.
'Ah, why did you have to say that to Mr Richard. What should I do now?' Ellena muttered to herself.
"Answer , Patricia. Don't be silent!" asked Richard emphatically.
"S-Sir—"
"Don't call that again!" Richard's sarcasm managed to make Ellena convulse in seconds.
"B-but—"
"You know what? I panicked, Patricia!"
Again Richard did not give Ellena a chance to speak. Instantly he threw his back against the back of the chair in one thrust. Weak.
Ellena didn't know how Richard had panicked so much because of her. Especially when Livia told him that she suddenly wasn't in the toilet yesterday.
Richard was really frustrated by that. Not to ntion the eting with Adley, which should have gone smoothly, ended up falling apart because of Ellena's disappearance.
Indeed, the eting could still go on, because as soon as Richard found out that Ellena had disappeared, he imdiately mobilized several of his confidants to look for Ellena's whereabouts at that ti. However, nothing. In fact, even his confidants couldn't find Ellena at all.
In the end, the eting could only last about half an hour. Given that Adley had co a long way to et him, Richard couldn't possibly cancel the eting and reschedule.
Despite Adley's repeated requests for the eting to be adjourned, Richard persisted. However, he still had to be responsible for his secretarial actions, so that he himself ran the eting with Adley and Livia.
However, after the eting ended, Richard imdiately contacted the CCTV cara supervisor. However, unfortunately there was no sign of Ellena leaving the restaurant. Eventually, he finds out that Ellena is trying to lie to his mother. That's what was on his mind, once he found out about Rully who didn't really exist.
Richard's breath was ragged. The pair of eagle retinas instantly aid sharply at Ellena. Waiting for an answer and explanation that if possible can reduce the fear and curiosity that had not left his mind since yesterday.
"Richard, I-I'm sorry for worrying you." Ellena whispered, shaking slightly.
How co? When Richard looked as if he was preying on her, she was even more unable to move. She was wrong, but it really wasn't what she wanted. Whatever she did, was just compulsion, lying to her mother, lying to Richard as well.
If there was another option, maybe Ellena would have taken that path. However, the only option is to lie, in order to hide what happened yesterday. There was no way she could tell Richard all that.
"I didn't an it like that, but there was sothing important I had to do yesterday." Ellena explained, trying to suppress Richard's emotions.
"What important need that you did not have ti to reply to ssages and receive calls from ?" Richard asked, looking at Ellena curiously.
"You think the eting with Mr. Adley is not important?" Richard attacked without giving Ellena a chance to breathe a sigh of relief.
"I know it's very important to you." Ellena replied weakly.
"For our company, Patricia, not for !" said Richard.
"Yes, I an for our company," replied Ellena, lowering her head. It seed Richard was really furious. This was the first ti she had seen the man in front of her be that angry.
"You know what? What did I do yesterday, Patricia?" Richard asked again, as if he wanted Ellena to know about his worries yesterday.
"You must have been looking for ," replied Ellena, still looking down.
"Not only , but also Mr. Adley and Miss Livia whom we should have welcod, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. They were troubled because of you! Did you think that far, huh?" Richard sarcastically still wasn't satisfied with voicing his annoyance.
"I'm sorry. I'm ready to accept your punishnt, as long as you don't fire from this job." Ellena whispered, which suddenly made Richard look away instantly.
"That's not what I wanted, Patricia." Richard's voice weakened, as soon as he saw the sad look on Ellena's face.
"Then what should I do?" Ellena asked looking up again and ventured to look at Richard.
"I don't know what made you do that, Patricia, but I'm definitely disappointed. I'm so disappointed in you!" said Richard forced to admit his disappointnt in front of Ellena.
Yes of course. How could Richard look normal, after seeing Ellena, the person he trusted actually seed to be playing with him.
"I know you must be very disappointed. I'm sorry." Ellena hissed with tears in her eyes from feeling too guilty for Richard. Yes, she completely forgave Richard's anger this ti because it was her fault.
"Okay, looks like it's useless for to be here, if only to hear the word 'Sorry' from you!" Richard snapped as he rose from his seat, standing in the sa place that made Ellena slightly look up at him.
"Wait!"
Just as Richard's legs were about to swing, Ellena suddenly caught him.
"Can we have a good talk about this?" asked Ellena trying to persuade Richard.
"Say what you want to talk about?" Richard replied still flat.
"Sit down," said Ellena in a very soft tone. She really didn't want any misunderstanding between herself and hier boss.
Who would have thought, it turned out that Ellena's words this ti were able to lt Richard's heart, which had peaked.
Richard seed to have thrown her body back on Ellena's work chair. However, her gaze still remained the sa. It seed she still couldn't suppress her emotions completely.
Ellena took a deep breath as she caught a glare fixed on her, before finally saying. "I'm facing a big problem, but I can't tell you about it right now."
That statent managed to make Richard drop an eyebrow, as if surprised.
'Then why is she holding back from going, when she doesn't want to tell about her predicant? What a waste of ti!" Richard scread in his heart.
"Yesterday I was ready to et you and Mr. Adley, but suddenly the person I was in trouble with showed up at the restaurant and took out of there." Ellena explained, trying to get the outline of the problem.
Richard rounded. There was pity in her heart. "What do you an? Does that an you were kidnapped?"
"I can't tell you everything, but I promise, one day I will tell you," Ellena explained, which suddenly made Richard get back up and imdiately left the place.
However, Richard's steps suddenly stopped just as he crossed Ellena.
"You want punishnt from , don't you?" Richard asked dryly.
"Yes … if you want to punish , I will gladly accept it as long as I can atone for all my mistakes," answered Ellena.
