"Mom and Dad, it’s ti to eat, and today’s al was all made by Brother Gao," Xia Xiao said with a smile as she helped Zheng Xianghong and Gao Guoqiang.

"Oh, that’s really sothing," Zheng Xianghong also smiled.

"We should definitely give it a try," Gao Guoqiang also showed a smile as they followed Xia Xiao into the dining room, one on each side.

Aunt went upstairs to call Shitou for dinner. It was just the few of them at ho for now. In fact, their sons each had their own families and usually stayed outside when busy but would co ho more often.

Feiyang and Li Min were now living at the military base with Beibei, who also attended school there and had even set her heart on becoming a soldier.

Feiyue and Ye Jia were abroad at the embassy with their child, Feiyi and Li Manzi lived near the sports stadium with their children, and Huanhuan and Lele were there training even during vacations.

As for Feiteng and his spouse, they were often too busy to look after the kids, so Jianjian and Kangkang would either be at their grandparents or their maternal grandparents’ house.

Currently, Jianjian and Kangkang were staying at their maternal grandparents’ ho. Yu Jialin was an only child, and Mr. Yu and Mrs. Yu adored their grandchildren so much they almost wanted to snatch them from the Gao family.

Although Mr. Yu and Mrs. Yu cherished them deeply, they never voiced it out, but they often had Jianjian and Kangkang over, so each month, Jianjian and Kangkang would spend a few days at their maternal grandparents’ ho.

Ironically, it was Feiling’s children who often ran over to this side and didn’t like going to their grandparents’ ho.

So, as Xia Xiao and the rest were about to have dinner, Jing Yao brought several children over. Feiling was out of town for filming, and with Jing Yao having urgent matters to attend to, he dropped the children off.

"Brother Shitou," Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin were very happy to see Shitou, and after shouting for him, they greeted Gao Guoqiang, Zheng Xianghong, Gao Jiaxing, and Xia Xiao, "Grandpa, Grandma, maternal Grandpa, maternal Grandma, hello."

"Co eat," Xia Xiao waved to the grandchildren, then said to Jing Yao, "Have you eaten? Co join us."

"Mom, I ate at ho. I have so urgent matters and leaving Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin with grandpa, grandma, and you folks..."

As Jing Yao spoke, Xia Xiao nodded and said, "Alright, go handle your business. Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin will stay here."

"Thank you, Mom." After saying that, Jing Yao greeted Gao Guoqiang, Zheng Xianghong, and Gao Jiaxing before leaving.

With Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin over, the house beca very lively. Shitou was a quieter person, and since the other grandchildren were not around, the Gao family was also quieter than they liked.

So having Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin over made everyone very happy.

However, Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin were particularly fond of clinging to Shitou. Having eaten already, when they saw Shitou eating, they also joined him, following whatever Shitou was doing.

Xia Xiao laughed and joined in their play as well.

Shitou was very patient with the kids. Although he always wanted to quickly grow taller, he never found his younger siblings annoying, so they really liked Shitou.

At night, when it was ti to sleep, Xia Xiao went to find the little ones playing gas in their room.

Just as Xia Xiao reached Shitou’s room, she heard the kids talking.

Yangyang said, "Dad initially wanted us to go to Grandma’s, but I didn’t want to."

" neither, I don’t like it there. The aunt doesn’t like us and doesn’t allow us to play with Little Ni."

As Liangliang spoke, Xinxin added, "Little Ni is the worst, always crying. Every ti she cries, the aunt thinks it’s our fault."

Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin were complaining about their grandma’s house, mostly because they were sensitive enough to see that Wen Shufei did not like them.

So even though Mrs. Jing adored them, the grandchildren didn’t like going to the Jing Family ho. Children are more straightforward and wouldn’t think as complexly as adults. If they felt unhappy playing at their grandparents’ house, they simply didn’t like going there.

Jing Yao also knew the situation at ho, so he didn’t force them and just brought them over according to the children’s wishes.

Xia Xiao knocked lightly on the door before entering, "It’s nine o’clock, ti for bed."

"Grandma, I haven’t beaten Brother Shitou yet," Xinxin whined, clearly addicted to the ga and not wanting to sleep yet.

Yangyang and Liangliang also nodded, indicating they wanted to play a little longer.

Xia Xiao, exasperated, said the ga the kids were playing was developed by Shitou himself, so winning against him was unlikely. She then said, "Let’s go to sleep. We can play more tomorrow."

With that, Xia Xiao also told Shitou, "You should go to sleep too."

Shitou nodded and said to Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin, "Ti for bed."

All of them obediently agreed but stated, "We want to sleep with Brother Shitou."

Shitou’s bed was 1.8 ters wide, not a children’s bed, nor was it cartoon-styled, but rather a simple, stylish kind.

Shitou didn’t object, and Xia Xiao went along with them.

"Goodnight, Grandma," Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin all said in unison.

Shitou also chid in, "Goodnight, Grandma."

"Goodnight." Seeing the children obediently getting into bed, Xia Xiao closed the door gently and went downstairs.

She returned to her room but didn’t see Gao Jiaxing. Looking towards the door, she saw Gao Jiaxing coming back. "Where did you go?"

"I went to Mom and Dad’s," Gao Jiaxing said as he stepped forward and lifted Xia Xiao.

Xia Xiao let out a squeal, "You scared ."

Gao Jiaxing carried Xia Xiao into the room, hooking his foot around the door to close it.

At this mont, Xia Xiao had to admit defeat.

"It looks like I need to go do so square dancing tonight, get so movent," Xia Xiao stated.

"The Senior Activity Center invites you every year, but you never go," Gao Jiaxing remarked as he set her down.

Shaking her head, Xia Xiao replied, "Square dancing is freer, closer. I go if I want to, stay if I don’t. The Senior Center often has events and might even require to perform."

Ever since retiring, Xia Xiao had never been to the Senior Activity Center, although Ning Hui played there quite a bit.

"When it cos down to it, it’s laziness," Gao Jiaxing laughed.

Alright, Xia Xiao admitted it, she indeed was lazy; she barely felt like moving these days.
