Before school started, Shitou and Xia Xiao went to the Special Forces training base from the space and brought back the energy stone from the wilderness.
Afterward, apart from attending school, Shitou devoted his days to researching the energy stone and dical books; of course, his extracurricular life was very rich as well. Besides reading extensively, Shitou also practiced dart throwing, shooting, and was pleased with the monitors and detection devices.
Xia Xiao felt that Shitou was even busier than her now, and although school had only started two weeks ago, Shitou had already experienced two kidnapping attempts, but both were unsuccessful.
As Shitou studied dical books and tinkered with bizarre dicines, Xia Xiao was sowhat envious of Shitou’s brainpower. Even though he was multitasking, he excelled in his studies, which was really enviable.
Professor Yang wanted Shitou to board at school, considering Shitou’s safety, Xia Xiao agreed.
Moreover, for the safety of the students in the Genius Youth Class, it was also changed to a boarding system. They studied for a month and took five days off, with additional breaks for holidays, which many parents agreed to.
After Shitou started boarding school, Xia Xiao no longer needed to travel to Shitou’s school every day, but she still called Shitou every day.
During the New Year, Feiyang and Li Min ca back with Beibei. Now, they no longer returned to the Guangming Team for the New Year but gathered in the Capital instead.
The entire Gao Jiazhi family ca over, and on the second day of the New Year, Gao Chunfang, Gao Lifang, Weilin, and their families, including Xiao i’s family, all ca.
Xia Xiao hadn’t been back to her parental ho for a long ti, so on the third day of the New Year, she and Gao Jiaxing took their children to visit her parental ho for New Year’s greetings.
Gao Guoqiang and Zheng Xianghong, being older, did not go, and Xia Xiao did not stay long at her parental ho, considering Gao Guoqiang and Zheng Xianghong back ho.
Xia Xiao’s brothers and sisters had many children, from two to four or five each, and now with grandchildren, the household was bustling and very populous.
Her parents, Xia Weiguo and Li Wenjuan, had also aged. Although they were younger than Gao Guoqiang and Zheng Xianghong, older people could not withstand the wear of ti either.
Seeing her elderly parents, their white hair, and reading glasses, Xia Xiao felt a pang of sorrow; they had all aged, her parents especially so.
After spending one night at her maternal ho, the next day Xia Xiao and her family visited so relatives before going to Yang Xuehua’s ho to pay a New Year visit, and they spent the night at Gao Jiazhi’s ho, returning to the Capital early on the fifth day of the New Year.
After the Spring Festival, Shitou went to Feiyang’s troop with Feiyang, Li Min, and Beibei until school started again.
In early 2006, at the age of five, Shitou advanced to the Advanced Class; after the sumr break, he spent two months with Gao Jiaxing’s troop, and for his second school sester, he was promoted to the Special Class.
That year, Shitou invented a counter-surveillance device, presenting the first one to Xia Xiao.
Since then, Shitou took a liking to inventing, often tinkering in his rooftop laboratory or collaborating with Professor Yang’s team on projects at school.
Five-year-old Shitou could already earn his own money by frequently creating small inventions or developing software, which Xia Xiao helped him patent. Xia Xiao also set up a research lab for Shitou, under the Gaoxia Group’s na, Gao Peize’s Research Studio.
Shitou developed several types of ga software, suitable for children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly, all of which were signed under a profit-sharing arrangent with Ge Liang’s gaming company.
In 2006, Xia Xiao’s long-prepared Gaoxia Group went public as a whole.
Xia Xiao appointed Feiteng as the vice chairman and president of Gaoxia Group. With Feiteng at the front, Xia Xiao was relieved of much pressure.
However, Xia Xiao was not one to idle. It was hard for others to believe, but she had stepped back behind the scenes and was engaged in research with Shitou at his research studio.
The energy stone had now been developed by Xia Xiao and Shitou. It was a new type of energy source. The energy stones absorbed by Shitou could be used to extract 72 rare trace elents from high-quality natural volcanic rock. Manufactured using advanced technology, it could promote non-clustered cells, improve blood circulation, enhance the immune and secretion systems.
It not only possessed the ability to eliminate and resist bacteria and viruses, but it also enhanced cellular nutrient absorption and detoxification, improved cell perability, protected deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), preventing damage, had anti-aging functions, helped resist cancer cells, strengthened the human biofield, and shielded against the impact of electromagnetic waves on human health.
The energy stones absorbed by Shitou no longer had radiation, and it was safe to manufacture them into gemstone jewelry.
But the untreated energy stones had many uses; they could even extract nuclear energy and be transford into other forms of energy.
Xia Xiao had once suspected the energy stones were faulty, but she dismissed that thought. Moreover, its origin remained a mystery, but the previous Shitou had needed them.
Thus, Xia Xiao and Shitou concluded they were rare substances in the world. Hard to find when described, they appeared unexpectedly; easy to find when not actively sought, they beca elusive.
Having discovered the proto-nuclear elents, Xia Xiao and Shitou grew serious. If it were just the absorbed energy stones, turning them into decorative or craft items would be harmless.
But for the unabsorbed ones, they contained natural energy beyond what Xia Xiao and Shitou could decide on their own.
Xia Xiao discussed this matter with Gao Jiaxing, who agreed that it concerned nuclear energy, which had to be reported to the state.
Once reported by Xia Xiao, the matter imdiately garnered attention. Because it was Xia Xiao and Shitou who had discovered and reported it, they both were involved in further research.
Fortunately, Xia Xiao was originally a geological research scientist, so she took charge of the energy stone research, with her genius grandson Shitou accompanying, which was uncontested given Shitou’s fa had even surpassed Xia Xiao’s by then.
Luckily, Xia Xiao had handed over the managent of Gaoxia Group to Feiteng, as she certainly wouldn’t have been able to cope otherwise. But with a whole research team, Xia Xiao was sowhat relieved.
Despite her busy schedule, Xia Xiao always made ti to reunite with her family during holidays and festivals, never missing any. She and Gao Jiaxing always found a few days each month to spend together; the older they got, the more they cherished each other.
After taking over Gaoxia Group, Feiteng got so busy he almost flew off the handle, but fortunately, Yu Jialin was singing the sa tune, providing significant support to Feiteng.
Since moving back near her parental ho, Feiling often visited, and sotis when free, she would co and sit with Gao Guoqiang and Zheng Xianghong.
Over at the Jing Family, Wen Shufei was in a difficult pregnancy, and Mrs. Jing was nearly driven mad, having never encountered such a challenging daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Jing occasionally missed Yangyang, Liangliang, and Xinxin and couldn’t help coming over to see them, but she couldn’t stay long and would return ho.
