On August 10th, Feiteng and Yu Jialin, along with Feiling and Jing Yao, held their wedding at a vacation estate. Despite their low-key approach, their status ensured the wedding was a lively event.

On this day, Xia Xiao couldn’t help but get teary-eyed. Her youngest children were all married now. As a parent, this was the happiest thing.

Gao Jiaxing said reluctantly, "My daughter has beco part of another family. It doesn’t feel good."

Xia Xiao laughed, "The parents of your daughter-in-law must feel the sa way. Think about it, you have four sons, and they married four daughters from other families. Besides, Feiling and Jing Yao’s marital ho is close to ours. You should be content."

Gao Jiaxing did feel content, but still, seeing the precious daughter he had raised now being taken care of by another man, a father’s heart was sowhat bitter.

Feiyang, Feiyue, and Feiyi felt the sa. Their sister was married off, and as brothers, they all felt a touch of lancholy.

As for Feiteng, he was sowhat overlooked.

At the wedding, Mrs. Jing felt the most bitter inside. She could accept her youngest son and his wife living outside, but what she couldn’t swallow was that he had transferred Tianyu International, such a large park, into his wife’s na.

Even though she wasn’t a fan of the entertainnt industry, Mrs. Jing knew how profitable a talent agency could be. Her son readily transferred it to his wife. As a mother, she had raised him, yet she had never seen her son so generous.

Moreover, having such a generous younger son, Mrs. Jing couldn’t help but look down on her husband. All these years she had been married, that wooden man had never been half as good to her as the son was to his wife.

Consequently, on the day Feiling and Jing Yao got married, Mrs. Jing inexplicably picked a fight with Father Jing, who was utterly bewildered and didn’t understand why she was giving him such looks of disdain.

The day after their son’s wedding, Father Jing returned to the military service, while Mrs. Jing was left with a belly full of stifled anger. Seeing the loving newlyweds, both her eldest son and his wife, and youngest son and his wife, Mrs. Jing beca quite sarcastic and snappy.

Feiling was okay; after eating and sitting for a while at the Jing Family’s ho, she and Jing Yao left.

Wen Shufei was staying at the house, and facing her mother-in-law’s sarcasm, she found it hard to bear. But, as the new bride, Wen Shufei just endured it, feeling that her mother-in-law was dissatisfied with her, and this is how misunderstandings began.

Father Jing spent more ti in the military than at ho, which was quite limited, and Mrs. Jing, probably going through nopause, found fault with everything. She also started to pressure the daughters-in-law about their bellies, expecting them to quit their jobs and prepare to have children at ho.

Wen Shufei stayed quiet, feeling it was difficult to communicate with Mrs. Jing. So most of the ti, she remained silent in front of her, letting Mrs. Jing perform a monologue.

This made Mrs. Jing even more upset, feeling that even her daughter-in-law didn’t take her seriously, hurting her feelings. However, being a proud person, she naturally wouldn’t show it.

Once back ho, Feiling spoke to Xia Xiao about Mrs. Jing, "My mother-in-law is always sarcastic. I knew she was difficult to get along with before, but it wasn’t like this. I think my sister-in-law is having a hard ti with her too."

Xia Xiao pondered the information Feiling provided about Mrs. Jing and couldn’t help but smile, "I think I might know what’s going on."

"Okay, Mom, tell ." Feiling was also eager to understand Mrs. Jing better.

"You must have heard about it; it’s likely nopausal syndro. Won around the age of forty to fifty, just before and after nopause, will more or less experience symptoms of nopause. They might often feel anxious, depressed, inclined to cry, and less talkative, suffer from mory loss, have trouble focusing, experience restless sleep with frequent dreams, or easily feel irritated. They might also be overly suspicious and have mood swings. There’s also irritability, and everything seems to bother them. Sotis, you should try to indulge her, go along with her a little."

"But she wants and my sister-in-law to quit our jobs to stay at ho and prepare to have kids," Feiling just couldn’t stand this part.

"She’s lonely too. You said yourself that your father-in-law is mostly away with the army, so she doesn’t see much of her husband. Now that both her sons are married and her daughter is wed too, she must be feeling quite upset."

At that mont, Xia Xiao put herself in Mrs. Jing’s shoes and realized that she must be having a hard ti; loneliness was the main thing. Father Jing wasn’t often by her side, and the children, now grown up, had their matters to attend to and didn’t cling to their mother like they used to as kids.

However, Xia Xiao had her own career and was busy with it, taking care of the business and her grandson, so she really didn’t have the spare energy to be overly concerned about certain matters.

But it was different for Mrs. Jing. She was at ho, idle enough to go stir-crazy, and on top of that, she was dealing with nopause. She didn’t want to socialize outside anymore, locking herself in and stewing in her oppressive mood—definitely a recipe for problems.

"I’m not opposed to having a child now. Jing Yao and I are just letting nature take its course, but I’m really not keen on living with my mother-in-law and facing her constant eagerness for grandchildren, watching my belly every day."

Feiling shook her head, "I couldn’t stand that."

"You could bring it up with Jing Yao in private and ask him to spend more ti with your mother-in-law. When she cos to you with issues, you must avoid confronting her head-on," Xia Xiao advised.

"Got it, mom. I’ll go talk to Jing Yao. He should handle his own mother," Feiling said as soon as she finished.

Watching Feiling, Xia Xiao shook her head,

"Feiling, although your mother-in-law may be proud and look down on others, she’s not a bad person. Now that you’re married to Jing Yao, you should treat your mother-in-law like your mother. Of course, there’s a difference between a mother-in-law and a mother, but empathizing with them is important. You and Jing Yao are one unit, so naturally, you should treat his mother well. Be careful not to refer to her as ’your mom, my mom’ in front of Jing Yao—that’s not right."

Feiling stuck out her tongue, "Don’t worry, mom. I won’t talk like that in front of Jing Yao. Besides, mom, you’ve always gotten along with grandma, and I’ve been watching all these years. How could I not learn a thing or two?"

"Alright then, off you go," Xia Xiao waved her hand.

After speaking with Jing Yao, he beca aware of the issue as well, so when Feiling went back to work, he returned to keep Mrs. Jing company.

When a son makes a genuine effort to cheer up his mother, it’s the surest cure for her woes, better than anything else.

So when Wen Shufei got off work and ca ho to a beaming Mrs. Jing, she was quite surprised.

Mrs. Jing’s mood had improved, and she looked more favorably upon her eldest daughter-in-law, asking, "Where’s Ah Hao?"

"He said he had so work and would be back later," Wen Shufei replied.

Mrs. Jing imdiately frowned, "You should pay more attention to Ah Hao. I know you’re the quiet type, but you should care more for your own husband..."
