"Descend."
Gus’s voice reverberated throughout the Scholar’s Fortress.
For so reason, the vast number of Earth Fire Mages and a few Fla Warriors within the fortress found Gus’s voice today sowhat peculiar.
Not only was it colder than usual, but the tone itself seed to have changed.
It sounded... a bit like Gu Xing’s voice? And also sowhat like Gu Du?
An elderly Earth Fire Mage, covered in blood and dirt, struggled to stand up shakily from the ground.
He first bent forward in a ninety-degree bow, paying his respects respectfully, then said with difficulty yet humbly: "Lord Gus, with utmost respect to you, Lord Gu Xing, and Lord Gu Du, I cannot help but boldly ask, what exactly are we supposed to do?"
Indeed, the Earth Fire Mages... did not know why the Scholar’s Fortress suddenly flew over to the Wildfire Territory.
Even Andrew and others in the Wildfire Territory had no idea what was going on.
In fact, the people from the Magic Guild within the Scholar’s Fortress did not know either!
Nor did they understand!
To know, the actions of the three Earth Fire Scholars were not only strange but irrational.
The act of steering the tower and fortress to the Wildfire Territory was not just unfavorable to the Wildfire Territory, but it was even more detrintal to the Magic Guild itself.
Since the start of the second dual fire war, it seed that the Magic Guild’s side was in a passive position, blocked at the main entrance of the Warm Fire Comrce Association’s headquarters.
Apart from the Scholar’s Fortress, all other areas originally under the control of the Magic Guild fell into the hands of the Warm Fire Comrce Association.
However, the Scholar’s Fortress was backed by the Thebes Volcano Range, which was a huge advantage.
With the presence of the Thebes Volcano Range, the Warm Fire Comrce Association’s side could not possibly encircle or besiege the Scholar’s Fortress from either side or the rear.
The Thebes Volcano Range was indeed the biggest shield and support for the Scholar’s Fortress, allowing the Magic Guild’s side to only hold on to the eastern side of the Fortress, ensuring that it would never be breached.
This was the fundantal reason the Magic Guild had previously managed to stall the war situation.
And now?
With a single command from the three Earth Fire Scholars, the Dragon Stone Tower led the Scholar’s Fortress into the sky, seemingly striking the Wildfire Territory with great montum.
Yet, the Scholar’s Fortress itself had completely lost the protection of the Thebes Volcano Range!
"Lord Gus, if possible, could you at least let all of us know the purpose of this action—"
The elderly Earth Fire Mage spoke until there was a sudden bang, his head exploded.
The headless corpse swayed twice, then fell to the ground with a thud.
The corpse quickly emitted a bizarre green aura.
Then, Gu Du’s voice rang out from the Dragon Stone Tower: "Don’t make repeat it for the fourth ti—descend, imdiately."
Half a minute later, the massive Scholar’s Fortress and Dragon Stone Tower slowly descended from high above.
When the foundation touched the desert outside the Wildfire Territory, the Dragon Stone Tower seed to co alive, extending tentacles from the base and firmly rooting itself.
Then, the Scholar’s Fortress also settled in the sa manner, expanding to the left and right, curving and encircling.
In the blink of an eye, the Scholar’s Fortress transford into a ring-shaped fortress, enclosing the entire Wildfire Territory!
"What’s... happening?"
The people of the Wildfire Territory were stunned, or rather, scared out of their wits.
Since the second dual fire war began, the inhabitants of the territory had been closely following the changes in the war, their minds sowhat prepared for it: in this war, the Wildfire Territory could not remain completely uninvolved, could not keep aloof.
To end the war quickly, they must exert all efforts to provide logistical support to the warriors fighting hard on the front lines.
If the flas of war indeed reached the Wildfire Territory, the inhabitants were ready to assu responsibility and directly participate in combat.
Yet... no amount of ntal preparation could withstand the sudden swoop of the opponent’s headquarters from above!
The trendous sensory shock within a short ti quickly transford into panic, spreading throughout the territory and erupting after the Scholar’s Fortress landed and encircled the Wildfire Territory. Increasingly loud screams of terror arose in various places within the territory.
Within the screams, one voice remained steady: "Everyone, steady yourselves, steady!"
An Ya’s face was ashen, yet her eyes were remarkably firm: "It’s okay, imdiately execute ’Plan Three Ergency Protocol’! Don’t panic, move quickly!"
Long before the second dual fire war broke out, An Ya had already devised "warti ergency plans" for the territory’s residents during her managent of the Wildfire Territory.
After the war’s outbreak, she prepared an additional five sets of targeted plans.
These plans were to ensure that once the Wildfire Territory beca involved in the war, especially under direct attack, everyone in the territory, including ordinary residents and defensive forces, could respond tily.
Facts proved that these preparations were aningful and absolutely necessary.
As long as there was unity, everything else could be said. Under An Ya’s arrangents, the Wildfire Territory, initially showing signs of chaos and even losing control, gradually stabilized once more.
"Crunch, crunch!"
Applause echoed.
This ti, it was Gu Xing’s voice, emanating from the Dragon Stone Tower: "Andrew has an astonishing territory administrator indeed, truly remarkable. I’m quite envious and jealous."
On the ramparts of the Scholar’s Fortress, silhouettes of Earth Fire Professionals quietly erged.
Primarily Earth Fire Mages, with Fla Warriors as support.
If the most elite Fla Warriors from the Magic Guild usually stationed themselves in the Water God Realm, with only a small number permanently in the Fla Realm...
Then unquestionably, over ninety percent of the most elite Earth Fire Mages from the Magic Guild gathered within the Scholar’s Fortress.
With the Scholar’s Fortress as shelter, these Earth Fire Mages had virtually no defensive concerns, allowing them to output with confidence and boldness.
This was the reason, up to now in the second dual fire war, the Warm Fire Comrce Association continued to attack the Scholar’s Fortress entrance but had yet to break through completely.
The Earth Fire Mages grouped in threes, each holding a distinct magic weapon: commonly magic staffs, scriptures, crystal balls, and so bizarre weapons made from Desolate Beast bodies.
The few Fla Warriors wielded javelins, flying hamrs, hard bows, and other ranged weapons, targeting the people of the Wildfire Territory from afar, alongside the Earth Fire Mages.
In contrast, from the Wildfire Territory ca four high-tier Crimson Knights who imdiately stood forward, flanking them were four humanoid non-human elders, visiting from the Southern Retreat Land recently.
Highly skilled at assaulting and charging into battlefields were the Crimson Knights, now paired with non-humans proficient in various empowering, support, and healing abilities—
This had been Chairman Beiru’s long-cherished dream combination, now turned into a reality within the Wildfire Territory.
However, compared to the opposite side, though this defensive force was fully prepared in terms of elite quality, it was vastly outnumbered. Moreover, the territory’s own defensive strength primarily resided on the outskirts of the Inner Sea Desert in Hunting Wasteland City, a setup originally without any issues. It’s rely unexpected that the Magic Guild’s headquarters would fly over Hunting Wasteland City and penetrate directly into the heart of the Inner Sea Desert’s center, appearing right before the Wildfire Territory.
"Good ability but too few people."
A cold voice transmitted once again from the Dragon Stone Tower.
Curiously, no one could distinguish whose voice specifically it was among Gus, Gu Xing, and Gu Du; it seed akin yet distinct from all three.
The voice leisurely stated: "With just this many people, there’s no need for the Wildfire Territory to exist. With a turn of hand, it can be obliterated."
"Oh?"
A figure at that mont softly descended after the Scholar’s Fortress, slowly returning to the ground.
It was indeed Andrew.
