The desolate beasts surrounding the Wildfire Territory suddenly moved like well-trained soldiers, forming ranks, and then unleashed a heart-stopping roar in unison.
"Roar!"
The desolate beasts resembled lizards, their cries sharp and piercing.
Such a massive number of desolate beasts, under Naros’s control, roaring together, created an indescribably terrifying montum!
To this, Barbara rely sneered coldly.
Not retreating an inch!
She said she admitted, surrendered, and was willing to capitulate.
But that posture had no hint of surrender in it.
Barbara just didn’t want to see anyone else get hurt because of her.
Didn’t want anyone else to be dragged into this.
This is why Barbara left the laboratory, ventured out alone into town, and told Rose, "Let the others go, and I’ll go with you."
In Barbara’s mind, Rose’s deploynt of the vanguard tactic was to capture her.
Whether it was the residents of Wildfire Town or the desert dwellers driven here by the desolate beasts, they were all innocent.
They were rely caught up in the matters between herself and Rose.
If Andrew and Ivan hadn’t gone missing, everyone working together to eliminate Rose would naturally be the best choice.
But Andrew isn’t here now!
As An Ya said, if it drags on, what if Andrew and Ivan never appear?
Deep down, Barbara still retained the pride of a young, talented mage and had a different stance than An Ya, the manager of the Wildfire Territory.
She didn’t want to rely solely on Andrew.
She wasn’t willing to always think, "Let’s wait for Andrew to return and then decide."
So she’s decided she’s not going to wait any longer.
She’s going to use her own way to resolve the current predicant.
In front of her, the desolate beasts roared in unison.
Clearly, this was another one of Rose’s disgusting tactics. He was using the voice of the desolate beasts to demonstrate to Barbara.
Barbara looked calmly at the scene, and what flashed in her mind was the mont she walked into Humboldt’s magic laboratory, witnessing her knights slaughtered by the "Fire Snake Trap."
In this world, so wounds, even if healed, leave scars for a lifeti.
The knights’ demise due to her naive thoughts about the Magic Guild is a pain Barbara can never erase.
The past cannot be changed.
At least now, in the future, she doesn’t want the sa thing to happen again.
Absolutely not.
The desolate beasts finally stopped their roaring at this mont.
The whole demonstrating facade was ant to break defenses.
Barbara wasn’t just unbroken, the more fiercely the beasts called, the calr and more resolute she beca.
This was not making Rose, who was hiding, happy at all.
"Oh dear, Miss Barbara made such a choice, it’s really a bit unexpected for ."
Rose’s faintly smiling voice echoed clearly across the desert.
The desolate beast horde in front of Barbara suddenly parted to the sides.
A young man and woman walked out slowly.
It was Rose and his Fla Warrior partner, Fleur.
Fleur glanced at Barbara lightly, quickly shifting her gaze, as if searching for soone.
Rose, however, fixed his gaze on Barbara.
Seeing that Barbara’s face and eyes showed no signs of being frightened or intimidated by the desolate beasts’ roar, he couldn’t help but let out a slight hum.
But on second thought: "Regardless, spending five days to force Miss Barbara of the Warm Fire Comrce Association to co out is already a significant strategic success!"
The corner of his mouth involuntarily curled up, barely masking his pride.
"Is it really worth being so pleased?" Barbara caught the smile on Rose’s face and said plainly, "Having absolute advantage in strength, yet it took you five days to dare step out and et face to face, don’t you feel embarrassed, Rose?"
At this point, Barbara had utterly let go, revealing unabashed mockery in her tone.
A shadow of malevolent intensity flickered in Rose’s eyes.
But he quickly regained his smile, chuckling, "Miss Barbara said she admitted, surrendered, and was ready to capitulate. But your current attitude doesn’t seem like one who is surrendering!"
He chose to reveal himself only after confirming Barbara had indeed left the magic laboratory.
Even so, his position remained exceptionally cautious.
As if ready to retreat back into the desolate beasts’ horde and vanish at any mont.
Barbara, without changing the mocking in her tone, asked, "I’ve already stated my terms clearly, what do you say?"
Before Rose could respond, onlookers in Wildfire Town like An Ya and Alpha began shouting through the magic barrier, "Miss Barbara, co back first! Let’s plan further! You... you don’t need to offer yourself for all of us!"
Seeing this, Rose deliberately clicked his tongue before leisurely saying, "What do I say? Of course, I’m willing. The task given by superiors was rely to have Miss Barbara accompany us back to headquarters. Plus, I’m not a cruel person thirsty for blood."
Pausing for a mont, a hint of malice flashed in his eyes, and he continued, "I’m willing to accept Miss Barbara’s terms of surrender, but, being one of the outstanding mbers of our young generation, I dare not take her lightly. So, if you don’t mind, let seal your magic power!
I promise, once you let seal your magic power, I will imdiately withdraw all the desolate beasts, and no one else will be hard!"
As he spoke, Rose took a rare initiative to step forward slightly.
His tone was given a unique emphasis with rising and falling intonation.
His voice rose continuously along with his words, escalating ever higher!
In the instant the last "person" word was uttered, Rose’s voice no longer sounded human, instead carrying a sharp tone reminiscent of the desolate beasts earlier.
The Desolate Language Series Magic had already been initiated!
The invisible sound waves nearly condensed into a tangible form, containing a terrifying soul-impact force.
It was like an intangible beast made of sound waves, directly pouncing on Barbara, seemingly to crush, ravage, and tear her apart!
Beside Rose, Fleur couldn’t help but curl her lips.
Even as his partner, she couldn’t help but often think Rose was truly disgusting and perverse. Here he was, performing a magical assault on Barbara while saying, "Please don’t resist! If you resist, Miss Barbara, I won’t be able to accept the terms of your surrender you just proposed..."
Barbara distinctly heard Rose’s incessant chatter in her ears.
Her eyes silently burned with an orange-red fla, seemingly perceiving what others couldn’t see—Rose’s currently executed soul attack.
The ill-intentioned, magic intent on sealing her power, reducing her to a pliable nothing, was already upon her.
Barbara suddenly smiled.
