Seeing the manager look away like this, Young Master Yu knew that there had to be a reason for this.
The fact that she didn’t kick this person out right away ant that she believed that he would have the ability to pay this exorbitant price.
There was even a part of Young Master Yu that thought that the manager was working with this person to scam him. However, he threw that thought out of his mind since he knew everything there was to know about this store and the manager.
They weren’t fools that would do sothing like this since their business was deeply wrapped up in the relationships with the nobles of the capital. If they were to do anything to harm him, then there was no doubt that their business would be ruined once the other nobles heard about it.
No one would shop in a store that targeted one of their own after all.
There was a part of Young Master Yu that wanted to question whether this person had the ability to pay this price or not, but his pride as a prodigal young master wouldn’t allow him to do that.

Not just anyone would be able to obtain these kinds of spirit jades.
The manager was the first to recover as the stunned look on her face was quickly replaced with a smile.
She turned to look at Young Master Yu and asked, "Young master, will you be adding anymore to the bid?"
There was a bitter look that appeared on Young Master Yu’s face when he heard this.
The way that she said this was almost like a slap to his face.
Add more to the bid?

He had already taken out everything with that twenty two high grade spirit jade bid, there was nothing left for him to bid after this. That was also after he had taken everything that he could from his lackeys.
So even if he were to pawn off his clothes, he wouldn’t be able to add anything else to this bid.
But there was nothing that Young Master Yu could say since the spirit jades were right in front of him.
Even if he wanted to complain, his pride as a prodigal young master wouldn’t allow him to do so.

I just gave a simple nod before gesturing to the manager to give the price for the next item.
