Once all of the Sand Hogs had been taken care of, I started heading in the direction of the red dot on the map.
I didn’t head in that direction before because I wanted to see what the taboo zone, the Tarask Desert contained.
After fighting these Sand Hogs, I had a good idea of what was inside of this desert and didn’t want to waste any more ti. After all, there was a ti limit to the talisman that I was using.
It was a talisman, so it only had a certain amount of energy before running out.
It wasn’t as if I was able to use it forever.
Even if I had more of them, I didn’t want to use them all up here since there was no telling what would happen later.
As I headed in the direction of the red dot on the map, I could tell that the sandstorm was getting stronger. It was almost as if I was heading towards the source of the sandstorm.
There was this thought that suddenly ca to mind when I saw this and I couldn’t help questioning the system.
"How long has the Tarask Desert been here for? How long has the one invading from the upper realm been gathering their power?"
If it was the invader from the upper realm that was responsible for the formation of the Tarask Desert, then wouldn’t they be too patient?
According to what I heard from the people in Sand Wind City, the Tarask Desert had been here for as long as records existed. The history of the continent was at least ten thousand years old.
So if the invader was the one that was responsible, then they would have been here for at least ten thousand years.
"They are not the one responsible for the formation of the Tarask Desert. You will find out about this later when you et the invader." The system said in a calm voice.
I couldn’t help wanting to say sothing else, but then it felt like the floor under gave .
I had been walking forward while talking to the system, so I was a bit distracted.
But that wasn’t the problem since it wasn’t my fault that the floor under was giving way.
It was a sand pit trap.
The sand was sinking in on a point in the center and I was being pulled down with it.
As far as I could rember, I didn’t see any signs of this sand pit trap being here earlier.
It was as if it had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Bolt had been perched on my shoulder the entire ti and seeing that I was falling into the sand pit trap, he imdiately changed his size and flew off my shoulder before coming down to grab .
I was about to reach out to grab his talon when...
"Don’t leave the sand pit, let yourself be pulled in."
"Huh?" I was shocked to hear this before asking the system, "What do you an by that? This is a death trap, why should I let myself be pulled in?"
The system just said, "This will help you. Please trust the system."
I was even more confused when I heard this, but I knew that the system didn’t plan on explaining itself with the way that it spoke and the way that it remained silent.
It almost seed like it was giving the ultimatum that I should trust it.
So after thinking about it, I waved my hand at Bolt to co down.
Bolt was confused when he saw this, but he still ca down to land on my shoulder again before being sent into the special pet storage bag that the system gave .
As I sank deeper and deeper in the sand, I watched carefully how deep I was sinking.
Finally, when my head was about to sink into the sa, I took a deep breath.
I didn’t know what would happen after I sank into the sand pit trap, but I was pretty sure that I wouldn’t be able to breathe if I was subrged in sand like this. So the only thing that I could do was take a deep breath and hope that I would be able to escape before I suffocated.
But it turned out that this was an unnecessary worry.
That was because I found that the white barrier around actually kept the sand away.
It didn’t keep above the sand since it pushed the sand away and actually made fall faster, but it did make it so that the sand couldn’t completely surround and suffocate .
With the white barrier around , I was able to see the sand being pushed away around .
It was a strange feeling falling through the sand like this, but that feeling didn’t last long.
That was because all of a sudden, the sand disappeared.
All of the sand that had been around disappeared without a trace and I was able to see that I was falling through the air, though it was a bit too dark to clearly see where I was falling.
All I could do was light a fla in front of and use my wind laws to slow down my fall while calling out Bolt to catch .
Bolt quickly transford after being summoned and ca under to lift into the air.
This place was just too dark for to see anything, but that didn’t last long as the system suddenly offered sothing in the daily shop.
It was a pair of glasses called the Divine Vision Lenses.
I couldn’t help asking in a bitter voice, "Where was this before when I was in the cave?"
The system didn’t say a thing in response to this.
After putting on the Divine Vision Lenses, I was able to see where I was.
The mont that I saw what was under , I couldn’t help being shocked by the scene.
