I just stared at the body of the bookworm that was lying there with a cautious look in my eyes.

The last ti that I thought that it was dead, it just turned out that this bookworm was pretending. It had used that opportunity to suddenly attack with that thing that had caused to lose consciousness.

I wouldn’t let the sa thing happen.

But no matter how I looked at it, it really didn’t seem like the bookworm was pretending this ti.

Still, I didn’t take any chances as I summoned out the flas from before.

I imdiately sent the balls of flas out to surround the bookworm and was prepared to burn it if anything happened.

Even then, it didn’t seem like the bookworm was planning on doing anything.

Slowly and slowly, I brought one of the balls of flas down towards the bookworm. I brought it down to one of the legs of the worm to see if it would react at all to this.

In the end, the bookworm didn’t even react when I had the ball of flas burn the leg that it approached. It seed like the bookworm was completely dead with the way that the flas burned that leg.

So I pulled the ball of fla away from the leg of the bookworm and slowly approached while still surrounding it with flas.

When I reached the side of the bookworm, I reached down and grabbed it by the head to lift it up.

I found that it didn’t respond at all to grabbing it like this.

Was it really dead just like that?

If that was the case, then how did it suddenly die like this?

This just made even more curious what had happened when I had blacked out.

I turned back to look at the four beasts that had been with and I found that all of them were looking at with strange looks.

With a bitter smile, I asked, "What happened while I was out?"

They looked at each other before slowly explaining what happened.

Three of the Four Kings were Transcendence Realm Spirit Beasts that had a certain amount of intelligence, so they were able to explain it with gestures.

According to them, there was a golden glow that had appeared around when I suddenly fell unconscious from the bookworm’s attack.

They didn’t know what happened, but after that golden glow surrounded for a bit, I suddenly woke up and the bookworm had collapsed. It seed that sothing had happened when the bookworm tried to attack ntally.

Learning this, I couldn’t help thinking of a single thing that could have helped .

"Partner, what did you do?" I asked the system without any hesitation.

The system didn’t respond at first, but then it said, "Please seize this chance to take care of the invader as soon as possible. There’s no telling what can happen if you don’t take care of the invader now."

I was surprised by the words of the system and a bit suspicious.

After all, it really seed like it was pushing to take care of the bookworm.

It seed like it knew sothing that it wasn’t telling ...

But I also had to agree that it was right.

Since I didn’t know what was happening, it was best to settle things while the situation seed to be under control.

So I raised the bookworm up in front of and gathered the flas around to burn it to a crisp.

I would have burnt it right away if not for the fact that sothing seed off.

I was looking at the bookworm carefully as I prepared the flas and I didn’t seem to notice anything different until...

The eyes of the bookworm were different.

That was what I noticed.

Instead of the sa look that it had before, it seed like the eyes of the bookworm had completely dimd. It was as if there was sothing that had extinguished the light of consciousness that was inside of the eyes of this bookworm.

I didn’t understand what had happened at first, but then there was a hunch that filled .

"Did you break it when it attacked my mind?" I asked the system all of a sudden instead of using the flas to burn the bookworm.

The system didn’t answer , as if it was waiting for to take care of the bookworm.

But the fact that it didn’t say anything was more than enough for .

The fact that it didn’t say a thing ant that it had indeed done sothing to this bookworm.

If I had to guess, it most likely destroyed the soul of the bookworm which was why it seed like it was nothing more than an empty shell.

"Does this still count?" That was the number one question that I had for the system.

After all, it didn’t count last ti because soone else had destroyed the little flower, which was why the system had restrained the defense system. Now that it had shattered the soul of this bookworm, would it still count if I were to take it out.

"..."

There was this response from the system.

It seed that it really didn’t know if it would count or not and it wasn’t planning on hiding it anymore.

Since that was the case, there was a bitter smile that appeared on my face as I directed the flas forward.

The only thing that could be done now was just to test it to see if it would work or not.

After the flas surrounded the bookworm, it quickly spread across the bookworm’s body and engulfed it in a matter of seconds.

When it was over, the bookworm completely turned to ashes and disappeared without a trace.

However, I didn’t care about that as I was waiting for a certain response...

"Congratulations on defeating an invader from an upper realm."

"Fragnt of Ancient Realm Map received."
