There were many cracks that ford on the ground all around us.
These were cracks in the dirt that didn’t seem to have anything in them...
That was until there was sothing green that suddenly peeked out of these cracks.
It was as if there was sothing that was digging their way out of the cracks in the ground. With how it was wriggling, it really seed like a strange thing.
It almost seed like so kind of tentacle.
But when I took a closer look, I found that it was so kind of vine that was digging through the ground.
The mont that I realized that it was so kind of vine, I imdiately said, "Move out of the way!"
Without waiting for anyone’s response, I already started jumping out of the way.
The others were confused hearing this, but they still followed and jumped away from the cracks in the ground.
The only problem was that there were more cracks than anticipated.
Even though we had jumped away from where we had been standing before, there were still vines that were coming out of the ground. The only good thing was that none of these vines seed to be doing anything other than sticking out of the ground.
If anything, it seed like they were focused on digging by their way out of the ground more than anything else.
"Keep going!" I shouted at the others which made them more confused, but they still followed away from where the vines were.
Only when there were no more vines sticking out of the ground did we stop.
"What’s going on here?" Liu Ao Xue asked, but there wasn’t anything that I could say in response.
After all, I was just as confused as them.
I had no idea what these vines were either.
However, it seed that we were the only ones that had reacted this quickly and got out of the way.
It seed that everyone else was focused on the vines, trying to see what these vines were. Though it didn’t seem like anyone had a clue since they just couldn’t see through these vines.
There were a few people that tried using their weapons to cut through the vines, but it didn’t seem like they were able to even nick it.
Whatever this vine was, there was no doubt of how hard it was.
Still, it didn’t seem like the vines were going to do anything, which was why everyone seed to ignore them.
They all seed like they were more interested in the Four Kings standing in the center.
But from our point of view, we could see just how many vines there were.
This place had turned into an entire forest of vines.
At the sa ti, when I looked at the vines closely, I could see that they seed to be slightly slanted. This showed the direction that the vines ca from under the ground.
I could see that they were coming from the area that the Four Kings were protecting.
It was most likely related to the thing that the Four Kings were guarding.
The final thing and the most important thing that I noticed, which was also the reason why I had everyone jump away was...
The vines showed up as red dots on the minimap.
With how many vines there were, the entire map had turned red. It was just a sea of red that was in front of us, which looked even more terrifying on this minimap.
"We should leave this place." That was all that I could say after considering the situation.
No matter how I looked at this, it didn’t seem like there were any benefits to staying here...
The others were surprised to hear suddenly say this, but looking at the scene in front of us, they eventually nodded in agreent.
Unfortunately, we had hesitated for too long.
"Ah!"
We imdiately turned in the direction of the screams and found that there were so human and spirit beasts that had suddenly started fighting.
It wasn’t the Four Kings, it was the spirit beasts that we had been following.
They hadn’t done anything like attack the humans following them, so it didn’t make sense for them to suddenly attack the humans like this.
After all, there was still the threat of the Four Kings.
But it didn’t seem like the spirit beasts cared at all as they charged at the humans that had been following them.
In no ti at all, the spirit beasts that they had been following suddenly turned around to charge at them as well. Though there was so distance between them, which gave the Star Peak Sect group so ti to react to this.
I couldn’t help being a bit stunned seeing the spirit beasts charging at us, but I snapped out of it when they called for .
"What should we do?"
It seed that everyone had already assud that I would take charge in this situation.
So I narrowed my eyes to look at the spirit beasts before saying, "Retreat while using attacks to keep them back. Make sure that we can still see them, don’t let them out of your sight."
Everyone was confused hearing this, but they still followed what I said as they launched attacks at the spirit beasts.
I had a strange feeling about this situation, so I didn’t want to let them out of our sight just in case sothing happened.
Though I didn’t really know what was strange about this.
That was until I suddenly realized sothing.
Why were the spirit beasts this aggressive towards in the first place?
That might seem like it was a question that didn’t make any sense, but it was a question that confused very much.
After all, there should be no reason why these spirit beasts were this aggressive towards .
I had sothing special that should have pacified all spirit beasts that I t, yet it wasn’t working right now.
I had the special title from the system.
