Murong Yan was surprised to hear this from .

She turned to look at with narrowed eyes, almost as if she thought that she had been betrayed, but she gave a nod in the end as she wanted to see what I would say.

With another cough, I said, "Ke, mother in law, don’t you feel that it would be a sha if you suddenly quit as the elder?"

Everyone looked at with surprised looks when they heard this as if they couldn’t believe what I had been saying.

The one that was the most surprised was Liu Han since he never thought that I would back him up like this.

After a long mont of silence, Murong Yan narrowed her eyes even more to say, "Are you sure that you want to say this? There isn’t anything else that you want to say?"

I gave another awkward cough before saying, "I think that it’s a sha if you were to suddenly quit as an elder of this sect since it ans giving up everything that you’ve worked for over these years."

There was a clear displeased look that was in Murong Yan’s eyes when she heard this.

She didn’t say anything at first as she just looked at with this displeased look before finally saying with a sigh, "It seems like I’ve misjudged you. I thought that you were a smart young man, but that doesn’t seem to be the case."

I didn’t mind that she said this as I just calmly said, "I know you might not want to hear this, mother in law, but I do have to say it. I hope that you’ll take the ti to listen to my justification."

Murong Yan looked like she was about to shake her head and blow up again, but Liu Ao Xue suddenly grabbed her sleeve and pulled.

When Murong Yan saw Liu Ao Xue grabbing her sleeve like this, there was a bitter look that appeared on her face.

It was true what they said...

When one had love, they didn’t need their family.

Though she seed to have forgotten that she had acted the sa way when she had brought Liu Han to see her parents the first ti.

In the end, Murong Yan turned back to with an unhappy look, but she still let say what I wanted to say.

I let out an internal sigh of relief before saying, "I just want to say, do you really want to see the Star Peak Sect decline? You’ve been at the Star Peak Sect as the elder for so long, doing all those things to help it grow. Will you really be able to accept leaving it like this? After all, it isn’t as if you don’t feel a single thing for the Star Peak Sect, or else you wouldn’t have done all of that, right?"

Murong Yan had a surprised look when she heard this before she revealed a complicated look without saying anything.

She couldn’t refute this because I had hit the heart of the matter.

If she had really felt poorly about the Star Peak Sect, would she have waited this long before leaving?

No, she wouldn’t have.

So the only explanation was that she did have feelings for the Star Peak Sect and she was only quitting because she had no choice.

When Liu Han saw this, he wanted to say sothing.

But before he could, I suddenly kicked him from behind.

As I had been saying this, I had moved closer to where he was since I knew that he and the other elders would try to do sothing.

I couldn’t have them ssing with the plan that I had carefully co up with, so I had to stop him before he did anything.

Which was why I kicked him in the back.

Liu Han held his back with an angry look as he turned to look at , but that angry look quickly changed into a surprised look when he saw the way that I looked at him.

In the end, he closed his mouth and waited for to finish what I was doing.

However, there was no hiding the look of doubt that was in his eyes.

Seeing the complicated look on her face, I said, "I’m sure that you wouldn’t want to see anything happen to the Star Peak Sect, which I’m sure would happen if you left your position as the elder, right?"

Murong Yan hesitated a bit longer before slowly giving a nod.

She knew everything that I was saying, but she had accepted all of this before coming to this decision.

So what I was doing now almost seed like I was rubbing it in and poking at her sore spot.

But at the sa ti, Murong Yan could tell that I was the kind of person that wouldn’t do sothing like that. The fact that I was saying all of this ant that I must have so kind of idea on how she could solve this.

Murong Yan looked at and asked, "So what do you suggest?"

I let out another internal sigh of relief since it seed like I had gotten past the hard part.

Now it was just telling her the plan that I had co up with for her.

"Well, it would be bad if you were to suddenly quit your position since it would be too sudden for people to adjust. So what I’m suggesting is that you do a slow transition instead of quitting all of a sudden. I think it’s best if you still remain at the sect for a bit to help them transition into not depending as much on you."

Murong Yan slightly knitted her brows when she heard this.

How could she have not thought of that before?

But she knew that if this were to happen, there wouldn’t be a transition.

She knew what kind of personalities these other elders had and if this happened, they would just go back to their old ways.

That was why she had gone all out and said that she was quitting.

But Murong Yan didn’t believe that Lin Fan couldn’t see this.

As she expected, I had sothing else to say, "You should give up your title as the elder of the law enforcent hall and beco sothing else. What I’m thinking is that you should beco the inspector elder of the sect."
