One after another, the fanatics, burning the remnants of their lives, charged towards the direction of the cannon fire, clutching ten kilograms of explosives comparable in power to TNT.

Under the stimulus of pure Fiery Sun Energy, many of them burst out with Late Tier One combat power, capable of running at nearly a hundred ters per second at their limit.

The distance between both sides was only about a hundred ters apart.

Coupled with the incessant explosion shockwaves, which disrupted the Knight Commander’s vision and judgnt, many agile yet deranged cultists charged to within less than ten ters of the frontline.

At such a close explosion point, ten kilograms of the empowered black gunpowder equivalent in power to TNT was enough to completely cover a ten-ter radius and achieve effective damage.

Sure enough, this fanatic, even after a precise headshot by the Knight Commander, did not fall imdiately but continued forward, driven by the inertia of his body’s extre sprint.

As he lunged forward, he detonated the Fiery Sun Divine Power within his body, emitting a dazzling white light through self-combustion, while simultaneously igniting the explosives in his arms.

At this mont, his headless and mutilated body was less than five ters from the Knight Commander and others.

Within five ters is a range of total explosive damage; within this range, one would suffer full damage, with power comparable to two 155mm grenade cannons.

Typically, the charge of a grenade cannon is about fifteen percent of the projectile’s weight.

A 155mm grenade cannon weighs forty kilograms and is loaded with six kilograms of charge.

But the damage from a grenade cannon is only partly from the explosion’s shockwave; more cos from the fragntation of the shattered shell, producing fragnts of various sizes.

Driven by the energy of the explosion, they pierce armor at multiple tis the speed of sound and extrely high temperatures, annihilating targets.

Many warheads forming tal jets are a full illustration of this principle.

However, the cultist’s explosives here were at most mixed with so rusty nails and iron pieces, causing so damage to ordinary Enhanced People or Low-Tier Evolvers but not worth ntioning to fully ard Tier Two Temple Knights.

The impact was almost negligible due to the shielding by the shield and the isolation provided by the Undying Holy Armor Shield covering the whole body.

Unless there’s a direct hit or close explosion, it won’t harm a Tier Two Evolver wearing armor.

But the powerful shockwave struck the group rcilessly, like a heavy punch.

A front-facing Apprentice Knight was knocked flying by the force of the shockwave.

The force was equivalent to a heavy punch of several tens of tons.

And it landed seamlessly on all corners of the body; unless one lay down to resist, no Tier Two life could stand and withstand it.

As the Apprentice Knight was knocked to the ground, the formation of the Holy Temple Knight Squad was also disrupted.

Only two Apprentice Knights were left to guard the directions around the Knight Commander, and soon a defensive gap appeared, constantly subjected to explosive shock and the secondary damage of flying stones.

But more than these impacts, a greater crisis gradually lood with the self-destruction of those cultists.

That crisis was the structural collapse of the entire underground sanctuary; the explosions not only cracked the ground but also caused the thickened panels above everyone’s heads to collapse.

These shelters were initially designed for super earthquakes of Level 12, but even if they could withstand such massive quakes, they could not resist the erosion of ti and the continuous bombardnt with explosions.

As area after area began to collapse, a ring of fracture appeared within a hundred-ter radius surrounding the Temple Knights.

The area they were in had only four or five one-ter thick load-bearing columns, already teetering under enormous pressure, making feeble yet sharp creaking sounds as if unable to sustain their weight.

The Knight Commander quickly noticed this and imdiately hauled up the fallen subordinate beside him, then loudly commanded:

"Our shelter here is about to collapse! Prepare to hold your shields, breaking out now will certainly get us focused fire; we must hold on and withstand it!"

The intense sound of explosions constantly drew closer, yet thankfully, the built-in communication system of the Undying Holy Armor could relay commands.

As the last fanatic ignited himself and detonated his explosive pack after the five-minute countdown ended, the circular roof with a diater of seventy to eighty ters, along with layers of surface soil, silt, and the ruins of the old city above, ca crashing down with a boom.

Above ground, the Grand Priest, together with two Mid-stage Tier Two Priests and six Early-stage Priests, totaling nine people including himself, were stationed nearby.

Before them, the ruins of Ancient Zhengzhou City, following a series of explosive tremors, saw a circular subsidence area with a diater of more than fifty ters.

The target they were waiting for was at the center of the collapse area, utterly buried by thousands of tons of concrete ceiling and dust and debris.

If it were ordinary Tier Two Evolvers facing such a desperate situation, they would be seriously injured or even fatally crushed by the weight, leaving them with severe aftereffects even if they were rescued.

Of course, Enhanced People or Low-Tier Evolvers would stand no chance of survival, being crushed into a mass of flesh under such colossal pressure.

However, the Priests of the Fiery Sun Divine Sect were not facing ordinary Tier Two Evolvers, nor even strong persons among Tier Two, but top-tier Tier Two strong persons specially cultivated by the Church to save on governance costs.

They possessed the most formidable physical attributes, the most sophisticated weaponry, and the most combat experience among any martial group on this barren wasteland.
