Chapter 170: New Rule Implent
"Boss, who is he?" Steve asked, looking at the unconscious man on the ground.
"He was the first guy who honestly told
everything about the Savage Wolf Shelter at the gate. He made
very satisfied," Vikram replied, glancing at him.
"He was honest. As long as he isn’t too stupid, you guys can work with him."
Ignoring the curious gazes of the three n behind him, Vikram stepped forward and pushed the little brother who was lying on the ground.
This Survivor, whom he had coaxed to sleep earlier, was sleeping even more soundly than Vikram had imagined.
In the end, he had to slap Aiden awake from his sweet dream.
"What’s going on? What happened?" Aiden, jolted by the solid slap, imdiately jumped up and looked around in panic.
Only after seeing Vikram’s familiar attire did he relax slightly and rub the back of his head.
"Don’t... Don’t kill , Big Brother. I’ve already told you everything I know. The boss and high-ranking officials are in the main house. If you want to kill them, I won’t stop you."
Vikram shook his head. "You’re really sothing. Rahul Soniwal and all the high-ranking officials have already been wiped out by , and you’re still worrying about them?"
Seeing Aiden’s completely disbelieving expression, Vikram was too lazy to explain further.
Before Shalini returned, he said, "You’ll see the truth when you go inside later. Now I have a question for you — do you want to beco the Little Brother of this Shelter?"
Aiden was so confused by the strange question that he couldn’t speak for a mont.
After receiving another light rap on the head from Vikram, he stamred, "Y-Yes... Yes, I really want to, Big Brother."
"That’s good. Now follow ." Vikram nodded, suppressing a smile so he wouldn’t laugh out loud.
"Yes, Big Brother! Just tell
what you want
to do. I’ll do everything!" Aiden replied with a tearful expression.
He only felt that today was truly unlucky. Not only had he been assigned to guard the gate early in the morning, but now this whole ss had happened.
Wasn’t this forcing him to beco a traitor?
Up until now, he still hadn’t realized that the Savage Wolf Shelter was no longer what it used to be.
While he was sighing inwardly that survivors like him, without any real strength, would never have a chance to rise in the Wasteland World.
A crimson fruit was handed to Aiden.
Aiden looked at it closely and saw that it was indeed a Physique Fruit.
If one were to ask where Vikram got it, the answer was simple, it had been plundered from the Savage Wolf Shelter’s warehouse. The high-ranking officials had preferred to hoard these physique-enhancing fruits rather than use them to cultivate more powerful mbers. Now, they had all benefited Vikram instead.
"Take it," Vikram said. "If you do a good job for , I won’t treat you unfairly."
"Holy cow! Is this real?" Aiden’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Big Brother, I, Aiden, am fully committed to you! Just tell
what you need, and I’ll do it. I guarantee I’ll handle it perfectly!"
He patted his chest solemnly as he made the vow.
Vikram nodded and slowly said, "It’s simple. These three are your brothers now. Work together with them. Shalini will take care of managing the shelter. Until I inform you about the next plan, just focus on this."
"Okay, Big Brother! Don’t worry, I guarantee I’ll complete the mission," Aiden replied enthusiastically.
Seeing the kid so eager and motivated, Vikram felt sowhat relieved. He then introduced Aiden to Alex, Chandan, and Steve.
The three of them were a little shocked. They couldn’t quite understand what Boss Vikram saw in this guy to give him such good treatnt.
Just then, Shalini returned after settling the won who had been released from the dungeon.
Following that, all the remaining mbers of the Savage Wolf Shelter gradually gathered.
The others looked at Vikram with deep amazent, their eyes repeatedly drifting toward the Phantom Druid standing silently behind him. They were still in shock that this single child-like plant being had single-handedly killed all the top managent of the Savage Wolf Shelter.
Vikram noticed their gazes and spoke in a calm but firm voice.
"Listen carefully. In the beginning, everyone was just struggling to survive. Every week brought new dangers from the wasteland — monsters, disasters, cold, hunger. Many people died just trying to live through another day."
He paused for a mont, letting his words sink in, then continued, "Yet, despite all of that, we have co this far."
"I have a vision," Vikram said, his voice growing stronger. "I want to turn this chaotic wasteland into a peaceful place, just like the old Earth. A place where no one has to worry about food, shelter, or clothes. Where people can live safely and peacefully without constantly fearing for their lives."
He then raised his voice and shouted to everyone gathered before him, "Do you all want this kind of life?"
For a mont, there was silence. Then, one by one, the survivors began to nod. Soon, the entire group was nodding vigorously, their eyes filled with a mix of hope and excitent.
"Yes!"
"We want it!"
"Boss, we want that kind of life!"
The responses ca from different directions, growing louder and more confident.
Vikram looked at the crowd with satisfaction. Even though he knew many of them were simply agreeing out of fear or the desire for safety, it was still a good start.
Feeling pleased, he raised his voice and shouted, "Since all of you want this kind of life, then from today onward, there will be a few strict rules that everyone must follow!"
The crowd instantly fell silent, listening attentively.
"First and most important rule: From now on, there will be no looting of other survivors or shelters. Till I will not order."
"Second, no one is allowed to force anyone to do anything against their will. Slavery and forced labor are strictly prohibited."
"Third, rape, harassnt, or any form of sexual violence will stop imdiately. I am strictly against it. If I receive even one credible complaint, there will be no trial and no hearing, only death."
Vikram’s voice was cold and authoritative as he continued laying down the rules.
"Fourth, anyone who betrays the shelter or leaks information to outsiders will be executed without rcy."
"Fifth, everyone must contribute according to their ability. Whether through labor, fighting, farming, or crafting, laziness will not be tolerated. Those who work hard will be rewarded, and those who slack off will face punishnt."
"Sixth, all internal conflicts must be reported to the leadership first. Fighting among ourselves is forbidden unless it is in self-defense or approved training."
"Seventh, resources will be distributed fairly. Food, water, and basic necessities will no longer be hoarded by a few. Everyone will receive what they need to survive, and extra rewards will be given based on rit and contribution."
He paused for a mont, letting the rules sink in, then added firmly, "These rules are non-negotiable. Break them, and you will face severe consequences. Follow them, and you will have a chance to live a better life under my protection."
The crowd remained silent, many of them exchanging uneasy glances. So looked nervous, while others seed genuinely hopeful. Enforcing such strict rules in the lawless wasteland would not be easy, but Vikram had made his stance crystal clear.
Hearing this, Shalini stepped forward and said with so concern, "Boss, if we stop looting others, how will we get enough food? We don’t have proper farming facilities here, and hunting alone won’t be enough to feed everyone."
Vikram nodded calmly and replied, "First, start creating a farming area here. I will also help with it. Until the farmland is properly established and producing, whenever you face a food shortage, just ask . I will provide what is needed."
He then turned to the crowd and asked loudly, "Did everyone hear that clearly?"
There was a brief silence. Then, almost everyone shouted in agreent at once.
They didn’t really care about the rules or the future vision right now. What they needed most was food and a safe place to stay. Whoever could provide them with that, they were ready to stay loyal to him.
"Good," Vikram said, satisfied. "From today, Alex, Chandan, Steve, and Aiden will be the second-in-command of this shelter. Shalini will be your direct boss and leader here."
The crowd nodded in acceptance.
At that mont, Chandan suddenly raised his fist and shouted enthusiastically, "As long as fire burns and thunder calls—"
"Vikram Boss will never fall!" Steve imdiately shouted behind him.
"As long as mountains stand tall—"
"Vikram Boss will conquer all!"
Soon, the others joined in, and the entire group started chanting together with growing energy.
Vikram stood there for a few hours, overseeing the situation and spending so quality ti with Shalini. After arranging everything properly and giving clear instructions, he finally felt satisfied.
With the Savage Wolf Shelter now settled under new managent, Vikram mounted his bike. The Phantom Druid sit silently beside him.
He started the engine and rode off toward his own territory, leaving the newly reford shelter behind.
While the others mbers of the Savage Wolf Shelter started adjusting the new rules, which Vikram has implented.
Now looking back at their shelter, they have no fear, instead they have hope of a good life, as Vikram told them.
