Chapter 130: Don’t Worry, I Am Coming
[ Shalini: How are things on your end? Are you almost there? ]
At this mont, Shalini stared at the communication, feeling a headache.
[ Kuldeep Singh: Almost, Big Sister. We’ve already reached the water source Anjali ntioned. ]
[ Kuldeep Singh: I reckon their Shelter must be nearby. It won’t take too long. ]
Kuldeep Singh, who had co out into the wilderness in the heavy snow to capture people, reported truthfully.
[ Shalini: Don’t celebrate too early. Divya already knows you’re heading towards her Shelter, so she’s probably already run off. ]
[ Kuldeep Singh: Ah, then what do we do? Did we co all this way for nothing? ]
Kuldeep Singh showed an impatient expression. Ever since receiving the coordinates of the two best friends’ Shelter last night, they had been dispatched overnight by the boss of the Savage Wolf Shelter.
They had traveled non-stop, from dark until dawn, and just when it seed they were about to succeed, the people had run away.
How could he tolerate this? If he failed, the wasted journey was one thing, but if the boss of the Savage Wolf Shelter punished him, would he still be a small leader.
[ Shalini: Don’t worry, they shouldn’t have gone far. You should quicken your pace now and find the two’s Shelter first. Perhaps you can still find so clues. ]
[ Kuldeep Singh: Alright, good that they haven’t gone far. Big Sister, just wait for my good news. ]
Shalini didn’t reply to the ssage but sighed, rubbing her forehead.
"Damn it, it’s all because of Rahul Soniwal. Just two won, and he made the network of connections I painstakingly built up in the small group go to waste."
Her intention had always been to slowly benefit from the information in the small group. Divya and her best friend, to her, she didn’t actually care about them at all.
If it weren’t for Rahul Soniwal, the boss of the Savage Wolf Shelter, who was so lustful every day and couldn’t move when he saw pretty won.
If she had a say in the Savage Wolf Shelter, she would never have destroyed everything she had painstakingly built for the sake of Divya and the other woman.
"But these two best friends are really ungrateful. How many won are scrambling to get into the Savage Wolf Shelter? Now that they’ve been chosen, they’re unwilling to co."
Shalini rolled her eyes. She truly couldn’t understand Divya and Anjali’s escape.
But since she had already been kicked out of the group chat, she couldn’t let it go to waste. At the very least, she had to catch the two of them back and use them to recoup her losses...
---
Early morning, in the Treehouse.
Vikram, who had just woken up, rubbed his muscles. After a full day of fighting yesterday with Soohia, he felt soreness all over his body the mont he woke up.
He tidied his hair. Of course, he was completely unaware of everything that had happened in the small group.
It wasn’t until he opened the group chat during a breakfast break, intending to pass the ti, that he discovered the overwhelming number of ssages in the group.
He scrolled up slowly until he fully understood the whole story. Instantly, he lost all appetite for the breakfast in his hand.
Without hesitation, he opened Divya’s profile picture and called her.
"Beep—beep—beep—" The sound of the call waiting had just co through, but he imdiately grew a little impatient.
"Pick up!" He slamd his right hand on the table, sending the wooden tray holding his breakfast into the air.
"Beep—beep—beep." The call disconnected tone sounded.
On the other side, in a dense forest so distance from their shelter, two figures were hiding in the grass, curled up and looking furtive.
"Divya, do you think they’ll find us?" The speaker was Anjali, and from her constantly scanning gaze, it was clear she was hiding from soone.
"Probably not. After entering the forest, our footprints got ssed up."
Both of them spoke in very low voices, afraid that any sound would be heard.
"This forest is so big, it’ll be very difficult to find us." Divya’s words sounded confident, but her trembling body betrayed her current nervousness.
After seeing the five people down the mountain from their Shelter, the two decisively quickened their pace and fled, eventually reaching this forest.
Behind them, the two who had been squatting for a long ti hadn’t seen anyone pursuing them yet.
The dense forest provided a natural Shelter for the two. At this mont, Anjali, seeing that no one was pursuing them, looked at Divya beside her and teased.
"Divya, look, when sothing happens, all the group mbers in the group are worried about you, but Vikram, your beloved, doesn’t even make a sound."
Actually, she knew this was unreasonable, but her first impression of Vikram was really not good. She just happened to seize the opportunity to whisper so things into Divya’s ear.
"Anjali, how can you still say such things? Do you know why we’re out on the streets right now?"
"He doesn’t owe
anything. What does it matter whether he cares about
or not? Besides, maybe he hasn’t seen the ssage yet." By the end, her voice beca softer, clearly disappointed by Vikram’s indifference.
"I’m sorry, I know it’s my fault, but Vikram is too cold, isn’t he? Not even a single ssage." After speaking, she pouted and said no more.
She clearly knew that her current predicant was all because she was too foolish and believed Shalini’s nonsense.
Now that Divya was blaming her, she truly had nothing to say. She lowered her head and moved closer to Divya to investigate the surrounding situation with her.
Fortunately, no traces of Savage Wolf Shelter mbers had been found yet. Perhaps they really had a chance to escape this ordeal today.
---
"Rustle, rustle—" In the bushes, two figures huddled together, trembling.
One head poked out from among them; it was Divya, who had quietly co out to investigate the situation.
Anjali, on the other hand, was peering through the leaves, observing if there were any signs of activity behind them.
"Rember to keep an eye on our rear. Tell
imdiately if anything happens." Divya was now looking back in the direction they ca from, without turning her head.
Although there were many leaves obstructing her view, it didn’t prevent her from squinting her eyes to catch every rustle in the forest.
Just as the two were intently observing their surroundings...
"Beep—beep—beep—" A sudden ringing sound broke the silence of the two hiding in the bushes.
Imdiately, the bushes rustled, and fallen leaves drifted down.
They were both startled by the sudden noise.
After looking around and not seeing anyone from the Savage Wolf Shelter, they realized it was the incoming call ringtone from Divya’s left wrist communicator.
Before she could even see who was calling, she hung up the communication.
At the sa ti, she took a deep breath, clearly quite frightened by the device. Fortunately, the people hadn’t caught up yet, or sothing truly big would have happened.
After the calm, it was Anjali who spoke first.
"Who... who is it?" Anjali, beside her, swallowed, feeling a bad premonition.
"Hehe, it’s Vikram, the one you love to nag about every day. Now you have nothing to say, right?" Seeing the chat ssage that popped up after she hung up, a smile unconsciously appeared on Divya’s face.
She was about to reply when she suddenly rembered sothing.
"From now on, you are not allowed to say another word without my permission."
"Did you hear ?"
Next, she would definitely have to explain things to Vikram, and she couldn’t keep an eye on Anjali at the sa ti.
The early warning was to prevent her from causing any more trouble.
Anjali was on the verge of tears, so she could only nod vigorously like pounding garlic, while making a zipping motion over her mouth, indicating that she would be very quiet.
[Vikram: Why didn’t you answer the communication just now?]
Vikram imdiately questioned her, and it wasn’t his fault. The main reason was that Vikram was also afraid that they had already been abducted and that soone else was pretending to be Divya to talk to him.
[Divya: We’re hiding in a forest right now. The Savage Wolf Shelter mbers are getting close, so it’s not convenient. Anyway, don’t call.]
[Vikram: How do I know Divya hasn’t been taken hostage? Send a voice ssage.]
Faced with Vikram’s caution, Divya had no choice but to look left and right. After confirming no one was around, she sent a voice ssage in a hushed tone.
After playing the audio and hearing that they were fine, his tone clearly softened a lot.
[Vikram: Why didn’t you notify
first? Didn’t I say that if there was a chance, I would let you into my Shelter?]
Faced with the questioning, Divya hesitated for a mont before slowly explaining.
[Divya: I don’t want to keep bothering you. You’ve helped
too much, and I can’t repay you.]
[Vikram: It’s okay, no need to repay . Just pretend I’m after your body, no need for so many formalities.]
[Vikram: If you really feel guilty, then when you co to my Shelter, give
a monkey, and that’ll count as you having repaid .]
Vikram was already used to Divya’s thin-skinned personality, who disliked owing favors. At this mont, he quickly made a joke to smooth things over; the important thing was the main business.
[Divya: Get lost, who’s giving you a monkey?]
As he expected, Divya fell for this trick. Her previous seriousness and aloofness imdiately vanished.
Anjali, beside her, was stunned. The usually temperantal Divya was like a rookie in front of Vikram, getting red-faced and flustered after just a few sentences.
She really wanted to complain, but in the end, she closed her slightly opened mouth as Divya had requested.
[Vikram: Give
your current location so I can hurry over.]
[Divya: (Coordinates)]
[Divya: If it’s too far, don’t push yourself. We’ll hide on our own; we should be safe for now.]
He was her only lifeline now. Divya didn’t have ti to be polite with Vikram anymore.
Vikram, in his Shelter, glanced at the location she sent.
"About 280-plus kiloters. At 100 kiloters per hour in the snow, it will take at least two to three hours." Looking at the distance, Vikram sighed.
If it was not ergency, he should have gone slow, fifty kiloters per hour. But since it was ergency, especially his Divya was in risk, he was going to use full speed.
[Vikram: I’ll probably arrive in two or three hours. You must hide well and wait for
to pick you up.]
[Vikram: (Coordinates) If you get a chance, run towards these coordinates. If not, stay put and don’t make a sound.]
[Trader: Vikram, Trade Item: Compound Bow X2, Required Item: None.]
[Vikram: Take two compound bows for unforeseen circumstances.]
After hastily providing coordinates near his Territory, Vikram imdiately ordered the Healer Sprout to took out the Universal Vehicle, he didn’t even look that Healer Sprout was evolved into Healer Druid.
When Healer Druid co with teb vehicle, he looked at Sophia, and told her, "In few hours I will bringing you two sisters, they will be tired and dirty, so make everything prepared."
"Ok," Sophia nodded.
"Warrior and Healer follow ," Vikram said to them.
"Wa Okay." "Ha Okay." Both said, hearing that, they talked, Vikram knew they have beco stronger, but he has not ti to see it, he will decided to check them later.
