—Dawn Bar, located at 54 Film Avenue, a four-story building with B1–3 floors.

Yu Yuan stared at the brief text on the virtual map and secretly marveled.

"No wonder it's an internal police map, it's incredible!"

Yu Yuan had never imagined that a single map could contain far more information than he had expected.

With this map in hand, Green Forest City had already lifted a veil of mystery for him.

The only pity was that, according to the map, the supply depots he cared most about had long since been emptied.

And his previous guesses about Green Forest City were confird.

The whole city was divided into five districts:

East District, West District, South District, North District, and the central administrative district of the Green Forest Administration.

That was the basic layout of Green Forest City.

The East District was the largest of the five districts by area.

After locking onto the Dawn Bar’s location, Yu Yuan closed the Virtual Light Screen.

He was now inside a building on Helen Comrcial Street, less than 200 ters from the Spring Light Hotel.

It was also very close to Film Avenue, making it the best vantage point to watch the ambush.

At this mont, a steady rain had started to fall over the district, water streaming down from the sky.

The rain ford a misty curtain, shrouding distant buildings like a thin veil, and a chill spread through the air.

Yu Yuan shivered involuntarily.

"This rain is expected to stop around two in the morning. That’s also when Loris is supposed to head to the Spring Light Hotel. I wonder if he’ll change his plans because of this rain."

Thinking that, Yu Yuan fixed his gaze into the blanket of night.

Binoculars appeared in his hand as he began to scan the surrounding buildings.

The Sniper Training Notes were full of substance and practical tips.

Although Yu Yuan hadn’t grasped any skills, the sniper knowledge he gained was real and valuable.

He put himself into the sniper mindset described in the notes.

Following the core principles for choosing sniper positions: field of view and firing arc, concealnt and camouflage, ingress and egress routes, and tactical value.

Combining the virtual map information and the current weather, he weighed everything and selected four sniper positions with the highest value.

These four positions fully t the four core principles of visibility, concealnt, escape routes, and tactical value.

They offered perfect firing and observation lines over Film Avenue.

If Yu Yuan were the ambush commander, he certainly would not have ignored these four spots.

Even if he didn’t attack, he would set observation points there.

Because of the rain, these four positions weren’t far from Film Avenue, giving Yu Yuan good opportunities to observe.

But the rain-dark night severely limited his vision.

He wasn’t in a hurry, though; he kept searching slowly.

Ti quickly approached two in the morning.

The rain tapered off and then stopped, and after a while the clouds gradually dispersed.

Moonlight poured down, bringing a little light to the dark city.

Yu Yuan’s hand holding the binoculars trembled slightly, then the corner of his mouth twitched into a smile.

Because... he had found the target!

At the instant the moonlight poured through, a barely perceptible glint of reflected light flashed and vanished.

The position was roughly three hundred and fifty ters ahead of him.

There was...

Yu Yuan checked the information shown on the virtual map.

—Apartnt 38.

He adjusted the binoculars’ zoom, narrowing his view.

A matte gun barrel protruded from a window, aid toward Film Avenue and the route leading to District 1.

Yu Yuan also caught that fleeting silhouette, and felt a tiny surprise.

It was Carn!

Why Carn?

Was he going to snipe Loris?

Did he not know Thug Prison planned to ambush Loris tonight? Or had he already cooperated with Thug Prison?

These two questions flashed through Yu Yuan’s mind, but he quickly discarded the second thought.

If Carn had tead up with Thug Prison, the drawbacks would outweigh any benefits; he wouldn’t be that foolish.

So that ant he didn’t know Thug Prison planned to ambush Loris tonight.

Therefore... he was preparing to act personally!

Yu Yuan imdiately understood Carn’s intention. He didn’t know whether it was the effect of the Thought Tide Card or Carn’s own will.

Either way, it made no difference to him.

Originally Yu Yuan had been considering whether to find a chance to interfere himself.

Now that Carn was here, he only needed to sit back and watch.

Yu Yuan knew the East District would erupt into chaos soon.

Tonight’s ambush would only accelerate that process!

While Yu Yuan was thinking, a bright headlight cut through the darkness of District 6.

A modified wasteland combat vehicle unique to the Black Shield Police Departnt rolled slowly from District 1.

It was coming!

Yu Yuan straightened up, alert.

He wasn’t the only one — as that combat vehicle drew closer, every eye, openly or secretly, turned toward it.

Boom...

An explosion and a towering fireball lit up Film Avenue. The combat vehicle was blown skyward and slamd down hard, skidding for tens of ters before coming to rest, motionless, flas and black smoke pouring up.

Thug Prison’s mine had once again shown its power.

Just as the vehicle finished sliding, two sowhat bulky figures, illuminated by the blaze, charged crazily from both sides of the street toward the vehicle, shouting incomprehensible cheers.

They quickly reached the burning vehicle and, with a cry, threw themselves onto the overturned vehicle. Then two earth-shattering explosions followed.

Yu Yuan’s eye twitched; he recognized those two instantly!

—The slave suicide squad.

That Black Shield Police Departnt vehicle was blown apart by those explosions.

When it hit the ground again, the entire vehicle had been completely deford. Whoever was inside had no chance of surviving.

Thug Prison’s strike was decisive, clean, and practiced.

They went for the kill imdiately, with no hesitation.

"They should be dead," Yu Yuan murmured, watching the burning vehicle.

His eyes, through the binoculars, imdiately scanned Carn’s position and the other three sniper spots.

In the binocular view, Carn’s sniper sight and gun were gone.

Clearly he’d seen Thug Prison’s attack and was preparing to withdraw.

At the sniper position closest to the explosion, a silhouette also flashed and vanished.

That was one of Thug Prison’s snipers, apparently preparing to retreat as well.

But just when everyone thought the dust had settled.

Shh... shh... shh...

Three consecutive whistling sounds sliced through the empty street.

Three rockets, their exhaust flas trailing, streaked toward two buildings on Film Avenue; one of those rockets was headed straight for the sniper’s position.

Boom——

With three detonations, a dozen or so wasteland combat vehicles roared from District 1, charging this way.

Rat-a-tat-tat....
