When Yu Yuan arrived at a warehouse in the northern district suburbs and saw five supply trucks packed to the brim, even though he had prepared for this, he couldn't help but lick his lips, at a loss for words.

But he also knew the situation was urgent. The Alpha and the others didn't know the true state of the Burning Fortress, but he knew it clearly.

So when Fang recounted what had happened in Blackstone Gorge, Yu Yuan imdiately understood the whole chain of events.

"What! The Burning Fortress is actually having internal conflict!" Alpha was a little stunned.

Not only Alpha.

When the other mbers of the Jackal squad heard Yu Yuan's words, all their faces showed shock and disbelief.

That was the Burning Fortress!

The largest thug force in the Northern Wilderness, they controlled fuel refining resources and had beco a behemoth.

When the Fla Knights passed by, which faction wouldn't be wary and cautious?

Maybe in Green Forest City the Burning Fortress didn't show much, maybe it even seed inferior to the Thug Prison.

But only those who had been surviving in the wasteland knew what the Burning Fortress represented out there.

And now it was tearing itself apart.

Fang recalled what he had seen that afternoon and realized the truth, a look of dawning comprehension on his face.

"So that's how it is!"

Yu Yuan ignored the Jackal squad's astonishnt.

He had already started checking the supplies, and there really were a lot.

He upgraded Taotao Hole permissions to the maximum level eight.

He directly gained 100 shelving slots.

The large survival supplies were all put up for sale, the smaller items he stored in the Rabbit Ring.

The Jackal squad's loyalty was already maxed, so showing them so items wouldn't matter.

Sure enough, although they were surprised to see items disappear one by one, after the initial shock the Jackal mbers quickly regained their composure.

After Yu Yuan filled Taotao Hole's shelves and the Rabbit Ring was packed full,

the remaining supplies, aside from so survival items, were mostly various ore materials and materials collected from the wilderness — the bulk of this shipnt.

After scanning the remaining supplies,

Yu Yuan looked at Alpha.

"Leave two people here to watch, the rest co with . I'll return later."

"But the supplies for coping with the cold wave disaster..." Alpha frowned and said, "With so many of us, these supplies are not enough to last half a year. At best they'll be used up in a month or two!"

Yu Yuan waved his hand with a smile.

"Don't worry about that. I've already arranged it. I'll explain on the way back."

Hearing Yu Yuan, Alpha, Fang, and Veteran exchanged a glance and imdiately nodded.

So Trap and Shadow stayed behind to guard the remaining supplies.

The other Jackal mbers each slung a backpack over their shoulders and carried a package across their chests, then followed Yu Yuan into the nearest sewer.

When Yu Yuan and Mie Mie removed her gear and the one-point-seven-ter-tall Mie Mie stood in the sewer, the Jackal mbers were stunned.

This was not sothing they could comprehend; it was full of fantasy and mystery.

Yu Yuan had expected this and paid it little mind, only urging, "What are you all gawking at? Put the backpacks you're holding up here!"

That snapped everyone out of it!

They hurried forward to help.

Quickly, Mie Mie was loaded with packages of all sizes, and the group, led by Yu Yuan,

moved swiftly toward the shelter's location.

Although the supplies weighed them down and slowed their pace considerably, everyone's physical fitness was decent.

After an hour and a half, they returned to the shelter.

As the Jackal mbers crawled into the civil defense shelter level, their emotions were complicated.

After all, it was in this very shelter that Yu Yuan had once stunned them; it was a bit like revisiting the scene.

When Yu Yuan opened the security gate of the shelter and they saw the already-built Mandatory Decontamination Room and the rooms beyond it,

both steady Alpha and experienced Veteran couldn't help but be shocked.

They had not expected such a fully functional refuge to be hidden inside this sewer.

"All right, co in!"

Yu Yuan walked into the room and pointed to the empty space in the main hall on the first floor. "Pile those supplies here first."

"You sort the supplies out here. I'll go get the rest. If you're hungry, take so food. When I co back I'll tell you the plan."

Then Yu Yuan, with Mie Mie, set off again toward the northern district suburbs.

On the way, he contacted Carn through the Commander System.

After sending Carn the location of the supplies, he briefly explained the situation.

Carn quickly replied "Acknowledged."

Yu Yuan then rode Mie Mie back to the supply point and this ti put the few remaining survival and construction supplies into the Rabbit Ring; the ore materials and similar items that he couldn't use for now he left behind.

It was about three trucks' worth.

Then he brought Trap and Shadow back toward the shelter.

"King, is it okay to leave those supplies here?" Shadow asked with concern.

"Don't worry. I've already notified people to pick them up. Those ores are useless to us and can't be carried off, and Burning Fortress's vehicles also need to be dealt with. Leave professional matters to professionals."

Shadow and Trap no longer argued.

When they returned to the shelter, the earlier batch of survival supplies had already been sorted by the Jackal squad.

Now they all stood outside the Treadmill Power Room and the Containnt Room like soldiers facing a threat, alert and looking ready to fight at any mont.

Yu Yuan paused at the sight, then reacted.

He had been in a hurry and hadn't explained the matter of the Infected.

"Relax. They won't be a problem!"

Hearing this, their guarded expressions eased a little, and their gazes toward the Swiftstrider grew more curious.

"King, what is that thing? Is it human?"

Yu Yuan opened the Containnt Room and led everyone inside.

"Be careful. The cages are electrified!"

Inside the containnt area, the Jackal squad looked like visitors at the zoo, staring at the snarling Swiftstrider in its cage, sizing it up.

Rock was calculating how much firepower would be needed to eliminate this clearly non-human creature.

Eagle Eye focused on the creature's head, heart, and other lethal points, watching its movent pattern to think about a precise shot.

Shadow considered how to kill it silently.

...

Yu Yuan clearly read all their expressions and smirked.

He clapped his hands to get their attention.

"You all want to know what this is?"

"It's called a Swiftstrider, a type of Infected. It's relatively powerful, with extrely fast movent. Its palms have completely mutated into claws with devastating striking power, able to tear through ordinary stab-proof armor."

As he spoke, a five-milliter steel plate appeared in Yu Yuan's hand. After turning off the cage electricity, he reached in.

"Of course I've already broken its arms, so now you can just see its bite force!"

As he finished speaking, the Swiftstrider bit down on the steel plate that appeared in front of it.

Creak... creak...

A skin-crawling sound echoed.

When Yu Yuan pulled the steel plate out with force, the Jackal mbers could see several clear bite marks torn into the plate.

A hiss —

The room filled with the sound of people sucking in cold breaths.
