After departing from Golden City, the armored train sped along the railway for two days and has already entered the territory of Loose Province.

Upon entering this province, Ye Fan clearly felt an increase in zombie presence.

Though it’s not yet Tianjiang, this area is considered the south for Divine Dragon Province, a densely populated region.

The cities are close to each other, surrounded by countless county towns, devoid of the vast, sparsely populated feel of the northern plains.

Ye Fan recalls Lawson ntioning that there are so larger bases here, but at this mont, Ye Fan doesn’t want to deal with these people.

The portable radar wasn’t very effective, only capable of seeing a distance of five kiloters, a range surpassed by so observation posts.

But Ye Fan still had War Hawk.

Joining him this ti were the heroic-level War Hawk Dark Cloud and heroic-level military dog Xiaotian.

Ye Fan released Dark Cloud, and soon it flew up to an altitude of a kiloter, surveying the area within dozens of kiloters.

When Ye Fan had nothing to do on the train, he switched to the perspective of War Hawk to observe the surrounding conditions.

Soon, he noticed sothing was amiss.

Along the railway, he saw people setting up roadblocks as if intending to intercept the train.

"Stop!"

Ye Fan decisively issued the order for the armored train to halt.

"Sir, what’s wrong?"

"How far is it to Wanguo Island?"

"Approximately four hundred kiloters."

"Have the armored train find a concealed place to stop and stand by, the Guard Company and Military Intelligence Bureau personnel should get off with , we’ll proceed via highway."

"Sir? Is there a situation on the railway?"

Ye Fan nodded: "Indeed, soone has set up roadblocks on the railway, I suspect news of our arrival leaked, soone is targeting us."

Director Shen of the Military Intelligence Bureau analyzed: "The information probably leaked from Golden City, considering we don’t have stationed troops here, our actual control is weak."

"It likely is, otherwise, they wouldn’t specifically set up roadblocks on the railway, and they’re fully ard, forcing through isn’t wise."

At this mont, Zhuge Yunxue offered her opinion: "Sir, if we avoid the railway, they might set up roadblocks on the highway too."

"No problem, we’ll take relatively secluded roads, with reconnaissance from Dark Cloud, we can detect roadblockers and handle them."

The armored train followed Ye Fan’s instructions and halted at a town station, a town not yet reclaid, completely overrun by zombies, devoid of living persons.

They stopped at the station by the town’s edge, relatively safe.

Ye Fan and his team disembarked here and drove down a few off-road vehicles they brought.

With few vehicles, he couldn’t bring the entire Guard Company, just a squad and the Military Intelligence Bureau personnel, totaling forty people, using six vehicles to depart.

The rest stayed here, awaiting Ye Fan’s signal.

Led by War Hawk Dark Cloud, Ye Fan’s group shifted to the highway; the first three hundred kiloters were smooth, but approaching Tianjiang, they encountered highway roadblocks again.

"Indeed, soone is targeting us; when blocked by railway, they switched to blocking on the highway."

"Sir, how should we proceed?"

"Head to the coast, travel by the coastal route, all the way to Tianjiang."

The vehicles turned, leaving the highway, heading towards the coast.

Along the coast was indeed sparsely populated, due to the presence of sea monsters, coastal inhabitants avoided nearing the sea.

Not only were there fewer people, but zombies were also nearly absent.

As Ye Fan arrived, he saw a large flock of seagulls, as big as Golden Eagles, devouring a zombie corpse.

A armored zombie at that, strong in defense, yet nearly devoured by a flock of seagulls.

"These scavengers leave nothing unscathed, even zombies; for coastal dwellers, they’re the greatest threat."

Ye Fan dared not advance rashly, releasing a hundred War Hawks on site.

A flock of War Hawks took the escort mission, driving away seagulls upon sight.

So seagulls tried fighting the War Hawks, but the One-star War Hawks were strong, led by Dark Cloud, slicing through the seagulls easily.

Without coordinated large-scale attacks from the seagulls, these War Hawks ensured Ye Fan’s safety.

Along the coastal highway they proceeded, occasionally seeing large marine creatures via War Hawk perspective.

Like house-sized turtles laying eggs on the beach.

Crabs bigger than millstones, crossing roads in swarms.

Occasionally, shark dorsal fins erged on the ocean surface, far larger than pre-apocalyptic ones, only visible from the War Hawk’s perspective showing sharks reaching over tens of ters in length.

From the radar view, purple dots representing Mutant Beasts densely populated the ocean, truly countless.

Fortunately, with a hundred War Hawks cooperating, they drove away seagulls and even lured Ocean Giant Beasts, facilitating smooth travel for Ye Fan.

"This thod works well, when the main force arrives, they can also take the coastal highway; nobody would expect us using this route."

After over a day’s travel, Ye Fan finally reached the Tianjiang Riverfront.

From the perspective of the War Hawk, there is a vast Great River ahead, with widths ranging from several kiloters to over ten kiloters at its widest, shrouded in mist.

"Commander, ahead is the Celestial River, and directly south of us is the territory of Wanguo Island."

Ye Fan got out of the car and looked at the ferries going to and fro on the Celestial River; these ships belong to specific countries, and ordinary people cannot board them.

In the distance, Wanguo Island is clearly visible, a large island, ranking among the top three in size within the Qin Han Empire.

Further away, a broken bridge can be seen, blasted apart from the middle.

No zombies are visible nearby, but from ti to ti, fish fins erge from the water’s surface. Only larger ships can pass through; ordinary kayaks and assault boats face great danger.

"Turn on the radio and use the frequency Lawson provided to find that person from the Zijing Empire."

The accompanying communications officer promptly turned on the radio and searched according to the frequency.

Quickly, a connection was made: "Who is this?"

"I’m coming recomnded by Lawson, looking to find Mr. Jonas."

"Hold on."

After a while, a voice with a strong foreign accent sounded.

"I’m Jonas. You know Lawson?"

"Yes, I’m an adventurer introduced by Lawson. My team and I want to land on the island; can you help us get on the ship?"

"How many people are in your team?"

"There are more than forty of us."

"That’s definitely not possible. I can only recomnd one person to land. If you agree, you can co to the northwestern dock of the Zijing Empire on the island at 2 PM. What’s your na?"

"My na is Chen Bufan."

"When you arrive at the dock, ntion your na, and say Jonas introduced you; then, you can board the ship. After boarding, you’ll undergo registration, and you’ll be issued a temporary residence card on the island. With this card, you can stay on the island for a week. If you can’t obtain residency within that week, you’ll be expelled. However, I won’t have ti to entertain you; I have other matters in the afternoon."

After finishing, Jonas directly ended the call, seemingly indicating that Lawson’s influence here is limited.

Upon hearing this, Zhuge Yunxue and Shen Ruihui around Ye Fan advised him.

"Commander, going alone to the island is too dangerous."

"Exactly, we could wait here for the main forces to arrive. Once the base vehicle is established, we can deploy troops on a large scale and attack Wanguo Island directly without the need for adventure."

Ye Fan lightly shook his head after listening: "No, this place is densely populated, and without a foothold, it’s hard to develop. Moreover, the Great River presents an obstruction, and crossing it to attack is too difficult. I must secure a foothold on the island and transport the base vehicle there."

After saying that, Ye Fan felt the task might be quite challenging. His Commander’s Backpack could carry so soldiers, but hero units were not included, and ordinary soldiers were of limited use on the island. Additionally, the ntion of a temporary residence card added complexity.

Nevertheless, he still intended to land on the island. As long as he could establish rapport with a Level 2 Mutant on the island, the task would beco simpler.

While pondering how to proceed, the system alert suddenly sounded.

[Commander, please note that a supply crate has refreshed three and a half kiloters directly south of your current location. It will remain for 24 hours. Please attempt to acquire it within that tifra.]

Ye Fan was stunned upon hearing this alert.

The system hadn’t issued a supply crate for a long ti because Ye Fan’s strength had advanced quickly, and ordinary supply crates held little significance for him.

But surprisingly, upon arriving at Wanguo Island, a long-lost supply crate appeared again.

Ye Fan opened the radar and carefully checked the supply crate’s location.

Located at the northern-central area of Wanguo Island, it’s crowded, resembling a marketplace.

Upon seeing this, Ye Fan didn’t hesitate any longer; he had to land on the island.

"You all stay here and wait for . I am already disguised and don’t look like Ye Fan. Besides, I’m a Level 2 Mutant. There won’t be any danger landing on the island. Once I secure a foothold, I’ll quickly bring you over."

Zhuge Yunxue and Shen Ruihui were left speechless; since Ye Fan had already decided, they could only comply.

Ye Fan checked the ti; it was 1 PM.

He instructed Shen Ruihui to drive a regular off-road vehicle directly towards the northwest of Wanguo Island.

This riverfront area was full of docks, even displaying a myriad of national flags.

Countries known before the apocalypse were mostly visible here, and the docks of stronger countries occupied better and larger positions.

As for weaker nations, their docks were located more remotely, and their ships were smaller.

The Zijing Empire was considered a strong country; its location was decent and conspicuous, quickly found by Ye Fan.

At the dock, people were already lining up to board, so visibly adventurers returning with supplies.

Ye Fan disembarked and joined the queue, swiftly reaching the front.

"My na is Chen Bufan, and Jonas introduced ."

"Good, Jonas has inford us. Please register."

After registering, Ye Fan was issued a temporary residence card.

"With this card, you can stay on the island for seven days. However, if you don’t obtain permanent residency after seven days, you’ll have to leave. Boarding ti now."

Holding the residence card, Ye Fan boarded the ship alone.

Soon, the cargo ship set off straight for Wanguo Island.
