He had gone chasing after Su Mo not because of the token. He was sure Su Mo did not have any with him.

Once Murong Qi destroyed the Beast Soul, she would beco Tai Ying Sovereign’s disciple and, taking that a step further, the headquarters’ disciple as well. By then, he could follow her into the headquarters.

He would be willing to do so even if it ant becoming Murong Qi’s servant.
