Su Mo sighed. As he could not find a Fire Spirit at level 18, he could only take the golden beacon.
Su Mo did not stay on and imdiately headed upward.
He had to leave imdiately as his Chaotic Energy had almost depleted.
Soon, Su Mo ca to level 17 and he stopped there for a while.
He intended to catch a Fire Spirit at level 17 as a counterasure.
If he could not prove that he had reached level 18 with the golden beacon and he could not catch any Fire Spirit, he would have made the trip in vain!
Thus, he had to catch a Fire Spirit as a backup.
The space at level 17 was not big. Soon, Su Mo had found a Fire Spirit in the magma.
The Fire Spirit was a tiny Silver Dragon and it was ferocious.

When the Silver Dragon noticed Su Mo, it pounced toward him at an amazing speed like an arrow.
“Co over!”
Su Mo stretched out his hand and the Chaotic Energy gushed out of his palm. It beca a huge Chaotic Hand as it grabbed toward the tiny Silver Dragon.
Without fail, the Chaotic Hand caught hold of the tiny Dragon.
Rumble!
The tiny Silver Dragon was mighty. Although it had been caught, it struggled vigorously, causing the magma to surge.
“Die!” Su Mo squeezed hard at the tiny Silver Dragon.
Howl!
The tiny Silver Dragon howled in pain and stopped struggling. It turned into a silver fla.
“Not bad!” Su Mo nodded. He then put away the silver fla.
He had taken precautionary asures. Even if he did not receive the rewards for level 18, he would still receive the rewards for level 17.
Su Mo imdiately flew up and headed out of the Lava Pool.

In the Lava Cave.
Chu Yan looked gravely at the disciples and asked, “Is Duan Jingtian not out yet?”
“Brother Chu Yan, Duan Jingtian is not out yet. We did not lie to you!”
“He’s not out. He’s still in the Lava Pool!” Lu Dong said.
“He must have known that you went down to look for him and he has gone into hiding!” Wei Lun said.
The disciples comnted. They were puzzled that Chu Yan had not managed to find Duan Jingtian.
When Chu Yan heard their comnts, he looked pale and was silent.
Since Duan Jingtian was not out yet, he must be in the Lava Pool. Chu Yan was unhappy as he had wasted his ti in making the trip.
Duan Jingtian might have known that he had gone to look for him and thus gone into hiding.
Chu Yan was wondering if he should make another trip down. After all, he could teach Duan Jingtian a lesson in the Lava Pool and no one would interfere.
When Duan Jingtian was out, he could not deal with him as the deacon and the Disciplinary Elder were around.
That guy has dodged a bullet! The deacon exclaid in his heart.
He had expected Duan Jingtian to be severely injured since Chu Yan had made the trip down. However, Duan Jingtian had been lucky.
Splash!
Just as the deacon was exclaiming and Chu Yan was contemplating whether or not to make another trip, a figure darted out of the Lava Pool.
That figure was in a green robe and he was none other than Su Mo.
“Duan Jingtian?”
“He is out!”
“That guy is out!”
When the disciples saw Su Mo, they shouted.
Chu Yan’s eyes glittered as he fixed his gaze on Su Mo.
He did not strike as it was inappropriate for him to do so.
He could not attack a disciple in front of the deacon as he would be breaking the rules and not showing any regard for the deacon.
Whoosh!
After Su Mo flew out of the Lava Pool, he headed straight to the stone platform and landed in front of the deacon.
“Deacon, I am here to collect my reward!”
Su Mo ignored Chu Yan and the rest of the disciples. He cupped his fist and bowed to the deacon with his gaze fixed on him.
“Alright, which level have you reached? Have you caught any Fire Spirits?” The deacon nodded and asked as he sized Su Mo up.
The deacon was in a brown robe and he had a goatee. He looked amicable, and he was not the sa deacon who had brought Su Mo to the palace.
“Deacon, I have...!” Su Mo was about to report to the deacon when Chu Yan and a group of disciples walked over and interrupted him.
“Duan Jingtian, you have broken the rules. You have injured two disciples. Do you know that you have done wrong?”
Chu Yan asked angrily as he stood beside Su Mo.
Lu Dong and Wei Lun were standing beside Chu Yan, looking pale.
“Chu Yan, you should know jolly well why I injured them. If you have anything to say to , let’s go to the Law Enforcent Hall. I am not afraid of you!” Su Mo said coldly.
“You...!”
Chu Yan was dumbstruck. He had thought of threatening Su Mo but apparently, this thod would not work on him.
“Good. Very good!”
Chu Yan was furious and he said sharply, “Where have you hidden in the Lava Pool? You can run away from today but you can’t run away forever!”
“Chu Yan, enough of it!”
The deacon stood up and said sternly.
As a deacon of the Human Palace, Chu Yan had threatened a disciple in front of him. He would be put to sha if he continued to keep quiet.
When Chu Yan saw that the deacon had stepped in, he went silent. He knew that he had gone overboard in front of the deacon.
“Am I running away from you?”
Su Mo laughed when he heard what Chu Yan had said. He then asked, “Why should I run away from you?”
“Did you not try to hide away from ?”
Chu Yan sneered, “This is funny. I searched from level 13 to level 17 but I couldn’t find you. Don’t tell that you have not found a place to hide!”
Chu Yan felt disgusted. Su Mo had found a place to hide but he refused to admit it.
“Excuse , I was at level 18!” Su Mo responded flatly. This guy is ignorant. He was at level 18 so how could he find him at the upper levels!?
“Were you at level 18?”
When Chu Yan and the disciples heard what Su Mo had said, they were stunned.
Even the deacon was amazed.
“Hahaha!”
Suddenly, Lu Dong laughed loudly.
He looked at Su Mo as though he had heard a joke. He then said loudly, “Duan Jingtian, stop bragging! How dare you tell us that you were at level 18!”
“Even if you want to brag, you should know when to stop!”
“Do you think we will believe what you have said?”
“This is ridiculous!”
After the disciples ca to themselves, the place was in an uproar. No one believed that Su Mo had been at level 18.
It was simply impossible!
The Lava Cave had been around for eons and only 12 Outer Palace Disciples had managed to get into level 18 so far.
Judging from the records, it was rare to find such geniuses in the Human Palace.
Thus, no one believed that Su Mo had been to level 18.
