Chapter 40: A Minor Accident

Translator: Wuxia Dog Editor: Wuxia Dog

Han Jin hid himself into the woods when the others were still talking. He didn’t want to waste all his ti in such aimless chatting. He was much stricter with himself and made much more efforts than anyone else. It’s just that he did this in secret without letting others perceive his cultivation.

After a long ti’s ditation, he slowly moved his finger in the air.A cloud of mist-like black brilliance appeared in his fingertips, which finally turned into a weird paper charm.

He let out a light sigh. These days he had absorbed energy from more than ten black magic crystals, although he could use his energy to control the dark elents to avoid his body being affected by them, he still felt uncomfortable more or less. Now he finally expelled all of those dark elents out of his body.

When the paper charm was ford, Han Jin looked at Steelberg in distance and waved his right arm. “Go!” he ordered in a low voice.

The air around Steelberg tangled up suddenly and five floating monsters appeared out of nowhere. They grabbed Steelberg’s limbs and hair respectively and dragged him into the air.

“Help ... ...” Steelberg scread harshly.

“Ghosts!” Moxinke roared. He jumped abruptly out of the groundand cut his sword downon one of the ghosts. But it didn’t disappear, only its profile was thinned.

Then Cessacioun chanted so incantation with his wand being held over his head. The sky lighted up in a flash and a curved lightning struck down straightly, hitting one of the ghostsprecisely.

It seed that the power of Cessacioun’s magic was much stronger that of Moxinke’s sword. The ghost hit by the lightning turned into a wisp of blue smoke imdiately and letting out a chilling cry before it finally disappeared. Ghosts were actually monsters ford by dark elents. Thus it was more accurate to say that its cry was felt rather than heard.

“Go to hell!” Moxinke jumped up again. This ti, his strength of fighting had undergone so strange change and his body was surrounded by dazzling light points like shining stars.

Han Jinlooked at thebattle in distance with his mouth widely open in astonishnt. What the hell are they doing? He thought to himself. The charm he had used was only a Five Wraiths Carrying Charm, what’s the ‘ghost’ they ntioned? And the key of the Five Wraiths Carrying Charm was ‘carrying’, which ans to let sothing disappear from one place and appear in another designated location. How could this be called as the Art of Carrying if the wraiths just did this by brute dragging.

The remaining four ghosts didn’t know how to fight back or dodge at all. Thus they were all wiped out in a short ti after Sunier joined the fight. Moxinke caught Steelberg from midair and put him aside.

The crisis had been relieved, but they still kept fighting postures. Sunier held her bow in one hand and arrows in the other. She listened sothing carefully while Cessacioun was still grasping his magic wand tightly and holding his breath due to nervousness.

Ghosts were a kind of undead creatures that could only be controlled by magicians of the undead series, who were the strongest among the strong. After one was upgraded as a sage from warlock, he or she had two choices for further cultivation. One was to beco an archimage by cultivating the traditional magic, the other was to beco a wizard. Any magician that could control ghosts was at least a ninth grade professional. That’s why Moxinke and the others would beso nervous.

Ti went by silently while they were holding still as statues. Miss Keeley and Steelbergwere also aware that they were in face of danger, however, they two could do nothing but hiding at the corner, waiting for their destinies.

Patience’s limited for every one. After an unknown ti,Moxinke couldn’t help growling: “Who is it? Co out!” If it was not the fear deep in his heart, he would have added so harsh words.

But the woods remained quiet. Sothing occurred to Sunier suddenly. She turned around and saw Han Jinat a glance with her good eyesight.

Han Jin leaned against the trunk of the tree imdiately and peeped his head from behind. He looked around as if he was looking for the enemies in the dark, too.

“It’s all right.”Sunier said slowly: “The guy should have gone.”

“Gone? Then why would he catch Steelberg?” Moxinke was suspicious of this and shouted:”Get out! Don’t hide yourself as a turtle!”

But still nothing happened. Only two howls of wolves ca from distance, which were obviously irrelevant to the hidden wizard.

“Really gone?” Cessaciounwas confused.

“Yes, I am sure.” Sunier put away her bow and arrows, and slowly walked to Han Jin.

Han Jinstopped pretending as knowing nothing any more. He looked at Sunier with innocent expression in his eyes.

“You did this, didn’t you?”Sunier asked directly. She was not that easy to be deceived: “Don’t deny it.” She said: “Except you, no one can release dark magic here.”

Han Jin didn’t reply, but just smirked.

“So it’s really you??” The expression on her face turned dignified. This weird and mysterious prophet could not only release magic to enhance one’s spirit, but also control ghosts. His capability was out of her imagination. And she’s very clear that his strength was far inferior to a wizard, thus,in normal sense, this should not happen at all.

“It’s just a minor accident.” Han Jin looked at the others in distance and said with low and deep voice: “I was going to release a very miraculous and funny magic, but who knows it turned out like this.”

“What magic... do you want to release...?” Sunier asked in astonishnt. She knew, from the words of Han Jin, that he was very dissatisfied with the ghosts he made just now, which ant the magic he intended to release was much more powerful than that.

“I can’t explain it now.” Han Jin shook his head: “And there is sothing I can not understand no matter how hard I think.”

“Oh...” Sunier hesitated for a while and continued: “Do not do such experint any more. What if you hurt Steelberg just now?”

“Rest assured. I’m more concerned about him than you, just now... I’ve already said. It’s just an accident.” Han Jincracked a bitter smile.

“I an,just be careful.” This said, Sunier looked at Han Jin profoundly and then walked away.

Han Jin leaned on the trunk with his hands folded across his chest. His mind was sowhat confused. In this world, all the charms he had made produced different results. For example, the might of fire charm was greatly magnified, and the effect of a spirit refreshnt charm was strengthened significantly. As for the adviceSunierhad given him just now, he could only keep it deep in his mind, but not in his action. He had to make new assessnt for each of his charms. Otherwise he might cause himself being killed by his own charms when he was in face of so certain danger.

“Sunier!” He asked.

“Anything else?” She stopped and turned around.

“Do you still have third grade magic crystals? I want so with fire elents.”

“You can absorb elents from third grade magic crystals now?” Sunier asked surprisedly.
