My hair fluttered in the bathroom, slowly reverting to its original dark green color, lightening the shade of my skin and allowing the jewelry I had been hiding to reveal itself.

"Hm? You're a teacher at the Academy of Blades, aren't you? I swear I've seen you before," The woman in front of tilted one of her eyebrows. "Are you a spy ant to obtain information from the temple of light?"

"No, I was planted to establish good relations between the two temples, but you're severely fucking up my mission right now…."

"Huh? Why would we want to establish good relations?"

"You're too weak as of now to learn why. Rise up the ranks, and then you'll know the real reason why both of these temples exist."

Knock knock knock knock

Tapping on the wooden door, my knuckles grazed the hard surface, revealing a slightly red pignt that flourished from beneath my skin. This just showed how little I used my actual hands when fighting, as the backs of my hands were flawless, utterly opposite to my calloused palms.

"What is it, kid?" A girl asked, walking up to from down the hall. She looked as if she was just passing by since she had her suitcase filled with her school supplies, most likely returning from an after-school club.

"Do you know where my sister is?" I asked bluntly, but the girl just gave a blank stare before rubbing her eyes and letting out a light groan of exhaustion.

"I don't know who your sister is… so can I get a na or sothing?"

"Laura Claydol… is she back yet, or is she sowhere else right now?" I asked, this ti with a bit more information, causing the passing girl to lightly chuckle.

"So you're the genius everybody is talking about… Cyrus Claydol, huh? Well, since your sister is the student council president, she should be at her office with the rest of the student council mbers," The girl smiled before continuing to walk down the hall, her glistening white hair flowing behind her like a translucent ghost.

She is strong. Way too strong… I doubt I could even land a scratch on her.

Seeing the ghostly girl walk away who seed to be in at least her senior year of high school, I felt a shiver creep down my spine. It stayed there, causing goosebumps to erupt all across my skin, until her image finally disappeared from my view.

"Who is that?"

Soon, I made my way back to the main building of the campus and walked my way to the student council office. It had a few people waiting outside, forcing to line up after them since I didn't want to piss off my sister even more.

For at least an hour, I waited and waited and waited until I was finally let into the office, seeing the intimidating auras of the student council, who almost seed to be on edge. They almost seed like they were fearful of the young woman who sat at the wooden desk parallel to the entrance.

"What do you want? If you're here to waste my ti, then get out of my office," My sister coldly announced, causing the other student council mbers to glance at each other for just a split second before leaving the room.

So, I was forced to stare my problem in the face, with only the problem in my vicinity. Her eyes were like knives, and the tapping of her index finger on the wooden table was like Chinese water torture, continuously dripping onto my mind as if to numb it.

"I want to apologize for my previous actions. It was very rude of to not only say those things but especially rude to say that to my sister… the only mber of my family who has treated like a real human being."

The young woman continued to tap on the table, her cold eyes rcilessly staring at my eyes which shifted around the room. It was torture just standing there, waiting for a response, but what other option did I have? Just leave now? She would kill if I just left now, so waiting there was my only option, hoping she could consider forgiving .

"You don't an what you say," The woman replied, stopping the tapping of the table and slowly standing up from her rolling office chair.

The squeaking of its backboard signaled a release of a deadly aura that encapsulated the room. It had a chokehold on despite its invisible appearance… but even though it was invisible to the naked eye, I could sense it. Anger, spite, and of course, sadness flowed through such thick air.

I struggled against the aura now gripping my windpipe. But, there was no sign of her showing rcy, so I used one of my aetheric attacks for the first ti: [Aether Explosion].

From my fingertips, a string of aether-infused water whipped out at her, sparkling just a few tis before exploding. It was bright, hot, and destructive as it completely wiped out all furniture in the near-indestructible room.

Even though most things here were blown to bits, the room stayed intact… and my sister still showed no rcy. Her aura had now taken form into that of a phoenix with its talons gripping my throat. Blood was even beginning to pour from the holes ist stabbed into , leaving breathless as I could no longer take in oxygen.

My sister was gone, leaving only the phoenix to take over, its massive blue and fiery eyes exploding outward like the eruptions of a volcano. They were so fucking hot that it felt as if my skin was being lted by the flas on their talons.

"I-I'm sorry-" I choked out with the last remaining bits of my breath before the student council mbers from before could storm into the office and imdiately restrain the phoenix, who only fought back.

But the other student council mbers weren't pushovers. Black stone, green winds, purple flas, and a support so strong that it was able to double the power of the others enabled them to match the divine bird.

"Stay back," The supporter muttered, her light brown hair and golden eyes eting mine as she pulled away from the chaos.

Her healing capabilities were beyond impressive as well since she instantly healed my wounds, allowing to gasp for air again whilst I bent over on my knees. My chest was on fire as sprinkles of those blue flas continued to ravage from the inside.

"Damn, boy… what the hell did you do to get your sister so mad at you? She was seriously going to kill you," The supporter wearily chuckled, a drop of sweat rolling down her forehead and into her eye.

FWOOSH

But before I could answer, the phoenix disappeared with a mighty cry, leaving just my sister to sit in the middle of the room, unphased by the black chains coated with purple flas and tightly enforced with green winds.

Her eyes stayed on , glaring with as much power as she could barely muster. As even after all of that, she had the strength to stay awake and begin scolding .

"I might have said that you could fake it before, but after everything… after FUCKING EVERYTHING, THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I WOULD ACCEPT AN APOLOGY FROM SOBODY AS FAKE AS YOU! SO GET OUT! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY OFFICE!" She scread at the top of her lungs.

Blue flas sparked from her eyes and the tips of her lips, her anger still persisting through everything as she ordered for to leave. So I left. I ran out of the office whilst sothing in my chest throbbed so painfully that it stifled my breathing.

I wasn't sad, yet tears flowed from my eyes. I wasn't disappointed in myself, yet my lips sohow quivered on their own. It was the work of this previous body's owner… he was still inside of , just deep down. And he loved her so much that it overflowed into , even managing to create physical reactions such as tears and shaking.

"Fuck… fuck… fuck… fuck… I can't stop crying," I sniffled, wiping the mucus dripping from my nose and wiping the salty liquid from my eyes.

I couldn't stop crying. I just couldn't stop fucking crying as I ran. I ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran until I found myself at the edge of the campus where all of the dungeons for students to farm were.

I ran in and began to destroy slis in the pitifully weak dungeon all the way until nothing was left. And even after I had eradicated at least a hundred slis, I found myself still sniffling, but now no more tears were flowing from my eyes.

"Hey, are you good?" A voice tickled the back of my neck, and as I turned around, I noticed an older woman with green lipstick, black hair, and pitch-black eyes staring right at .

"You're… a teacher here. The one who specializes in the scythe…."
