I sat in my chair, staring into the woman's eyes as I mulled over this deal. It was definitely a good growth opportunity for the four, but the thing is… I couldn't give any less of a shit about their well-being. They're nothing more than co-workers in the slaughterhouse. If this was with my siblings, then I could maybe agree to this deal just as it is.

"Raise the prize. Five mid-tier books or one high-tier book. I don't mind either, but that's the only way I'll agree to the deal. But I do have a question… why doesn't your brother, or whoever that other guy is, teach them? I don't see him around here."

"Hmmm… I guess I didn't tell you, but he's the one who put together the blades of this academy. He's but for the blades. He's my position, but for the strongest students in our academy, so I hope you can see that's a difficult process when he has even more work to do than myself."

"Bullshit, those blades are on their own. They handle their missions by themselves and proceed with them however they see fit. Don't try to lie to to excuse your brother's laziness…."

"*sigh*... whatever. We'll do one high-tier book... Anyways, co in. Let's proceed with the next part of this eting."

The wooden doors behind creaked open. A familiar presence then walked in, staring at the Boss, who smirked lightly. Her expression almost looked smug as my sister presented herself nicely to the woman, arms crossed behind her back, chest puffed out, and her posture could only be described as perfect.

"It's good to see you again, chairwoman. What is it that you called for?" My sister asked, her eyes slowly drifting down to , who was the complete opposite of her. My posture was horrible, and my presentation of myself was anything but perfect. It was sloppy and casual as if I was speaking to sobody who had not even the slightest bit of importance. But, I did have an excuse as…

"Ch-Chairwoman?" I stuttered, sitting up from my relaxed position. My eyes widened as everything slowly began to connect. Her position of power, why she had so much influence, why she had so much money, and why she was so powerful. She had to be her… it had to be that woman. There was no other person it could have been besides that woman. "You're the chairwoman of the Wixx family. I've seen you on tv… but you don't look as good as you do there."

The woman with long and elegant black hair widened her eyes. Her cold expression shifted into that of a soft laugh. My sister looked at with a grim expression as if I had said sothing wrong. But hey, I only spoke the truth.

"Is that why you didn't recognize at first? Because I was too beautiful," The woman continued to laugh, her hand covering her mouth whilst my sister's expression only continued to darken. "But, yes, I am the chairwoman of the Wixx family. I didn't feel like it was necessary to tell you kids about my real identity, but I'm sure you must be wondering why I'm even here. I an, I'm not a teacher nor an administrator of the school."

"Yeah, I guess… yeah, what are you doing here? I didn't feel like there was any point in asking, but now that I know your real identity, I'm now curious."

"Don't ask that, you little shit…" My sister grunted, whispering from the side of her mouth whilst looking down at . Her disgruntled expression was more than enough for to stop talking, but the woman surprisingly welcod it.

"No, it's fine. You could call the main sponsor of this school. This office isn't really made for the work that I do in this school, but it is useful. So, I co here most of the ti to work in peace as the penthouse I've been gifted by my underlings is a bit too big for my liking. This confined space keeps on track."

Seber Wixx, the chairwoman of the Wixx family. At the ripe age of one and a half years old, she awakened her mana core. By the ti she reached her late kid years, she was a master at the sword and a manipulator of mana. Everybody knew of her and her accomplishnts, especially since she led the Wixx family through an economic crisis that nearly caused their family to fall into ruins. People inside the family tried to dethrone her, causing many financial mistakes to occur within the Wixx companies, but she wiped that up nice and clean, even getting rid of the evidence for the people who tried to attack her… of course, from what I believe, she also killed those people, only after making her seem like a nice person.

The person in front of was powerful, not only in terms of status but also in terms of being an adventurer. At a young age, she climbed the ranks of the famous guild known as Saber Dawn and acquired a scholarship to travel abroad and study under the kindness of the Magic Tower. This association only allowed a tight circle in, and halfway across the world, she was able to co in, scotts free. She didn't even have to pay for sothing valuable. She could just, well, y'know, enter.

"Okay, now that these silly introductions are done, I want to now offer sothing. You are entitled to decline or accept my offer. But will you join the Saber Dawn?" The Boss asked, leaning forward in her desk whilst clasping both of her hands together. The aura she unleashed was threatening, as if she was forcing to accept, but…

"Nah, I'm good," I flat-out replied. My sister was shocked by the sudden offer but was even more shocked by the decline of that offer. I had no intention of joining a guild right now, as I already have too much on my plate. "Sorry, but I have no intentions of joining sothing like that. Maybe later, but right now… yeah, just… sorry. I would like to kindly decline your offer… I apologize."

"No, there is no need to apologize. In fact, I already anticipated this, which is why I brought your sister. As you must know, your sister is climbing her way up the ranks of the Saber Dawn-"

"Huh? You're in a guild?" I looked up at my sister, who stared down at in disbelief. The Boss broke out into hysterical laughter, slapping her thigh as she rocked back in forth in her chair. My sister, on the other hand, was displeased as she looked at with an intense glare.

"You little-"

"*sigh*... Okay, your sister is a mber of the Saber Dawn. We recruited her at about the sa age as you are currently," The Boss wiped a tear of laughter from her eye. "So, I was wondering if you could maybe convince your brother to join us. We can provide him with much more than this puny school has to offer. Of course, we'll let you finish your academic endeavors without any pressure of missions, but once you're out, you'll be given duties you must complete. That is the offer we have for him. We'll allow carries through various dungeons so you can level up quickly and provide you with evolutionary materials when the ti cos."

"You can't convince . I know how the Saber Dawn works their guild mbers to death. You have a kind and welcoming front, but I'm sure most of the contracts given out are slave contracts. If not, there wouldn't be so many news reports of your guild constantly losing mbers practically every week."

"Isn't that a good trade for incredible power, though? It doesn't even last that long? Maybe a few years or so right after school. Of course, there will be a few ties you won't be able to sever, but none of them are malicious," The woman smiled.

As long as you survive… "Also, I have no interest in being tied down to sothing like that." I don't want to be tied down again. I don't want to be tied down to a position I'll never be able to escape until the end of my days. I want to live my life how I want, and the first step in that direction is to get rid of these quests I've practically been stockpiling. "Maybe later… maybe later."

"Dude, this a great chance," my sister bent down to whisper into my ear. "You want to take revenge on our family, but you aren't even considering joining a guild. Where do you think you'll get the power to go against one of the largest forces in Elpol?"

The woman in front of continued to smile. It was strange as she acted like she couldn't hear us. Also, she was a completely different person from before. Was this the real her or yet another mask that she put over her face to try and draw in?
