Once the figure had reached the top of a hill and looked over the cyberpunk city, their eyes almost seed to glimr. In the pure and utter silence around them, the loud and clunky city sohow beca a bit attractive. Like a guy or girl who wasn't the best looks-wise or even personality-wise, yet at that one mont where you're alone, and your hands interlock, you feel more attracted to them than ever. All of your worries disappear, and for a split second, you forget about the surrounding world.
"London Bridge is falling down… falling down… falling down… London Bridge is falling down… My… fair… lady~"
The figure, in its cloak of darkness, snapped its head around, seeing erge from the tree line. My eyes glowed a soft dark blue, imdiately causing them to freeze in place. And as my heart began to race with excitent, my normally cold expression when killing others twitched just slightly. It shifted into that of an ear-to-ear smile.
I continued to hum the beautiful tune as it resounded through the air, putting the woman on edge, literally and figuratively. She had only two options. Either jump down the cliff and potentially break a few bones or get slaughtered by .
"My… fair… lady."
"*sigh*... I guess I got caught," The figure turned around, revealing its entire face. It was familiar. I had seen it before, and upon walking closer to them, my smile dying down, I saw Azzaroth. She was smiling while scratching the back of her head, clearly guilty. "I guess I can't escape the fad Jack the Ripper. You're as creepy and powerful as always…."
"Tch… you got all excited. In addition, your skills are lacking. You're not much of an assassin anymore…" I explained, walking next to her and cracking my neck. My eyes scanned over the beautiful cityscape from which I slowly began to realize what the woman had gotten so entranced with. It was indeed attention-grabbing.
"I decided to go against my past life. I felt returning to my bloodthirsty ways made no more than a rabid dog. Clearly, you have more control over your bloodlust, though. But unfortunately, not everybody is as good as you," The woman snickered, ruffling my hair as we both sat down on the edge of the cliff.
There was a long silence between us as a gentle autumn breeze ruffled our hair. The woman looked like she had many questions to ask but refrained from even breathing. She didn't want to ruin this peaceful mont. A mont that might have been the calst mont we had ever had together.
"Hey… was it always this easy to get skills without a skill book?" I muttered, staring up at my status, which was looking pretty beefed up right now. Not only did I obtain the reward from the quest of interfering with the mission we had just completed, but also sothing I obtained towards the beginning of the nightly endeavors.

"Also, I completely forgot how much experience humans gave… maybe I should try eliminating more of these camps," I muttered, lightly smiling to myself as I beca content with this beautiful power-up. "Anyways, I was wondering… were you aware of these camps?"
The woman shivered under my cold eyes before her nonchalant expression lded into laughter. Whatever she was laughing at was sothing I was completely unaware of, so I just sat there, waiting for a response.
"Yes… yes, I was," She responded, waiting for to do sothing. But she overestimated at this mont. As of now, I was nothing more than a flea who luckily managed to get a power-up. You could call a mosquito, but even they are still weak. "But, I don't work with those kinds of people. Although, you probably knew all of this already."
I gently shrugged my shoulders before closing my status and placing my daggers down onto the slowly wilting grass. Yet another chilly autumn breeze swept past us, ruffling my unkempt hair. I was ready to return ho and take a bath after all of this chaos.
"People who practice Dark Magic are people who have done no more than gone a different path in life. To sha them for practicing dark arts is like shaming sobodies appearance. They've chosen how they want to look and don't care what other people think. Of course, there may be a slight anomaly, but more than half of the ti, they generally don't care, especially when there is sobody who picked such an uncommon path in life."
"I'm glad you understand… We Light, and Dark religions worship different gods and don't really cross over in terms of beliefs. It's kind of stupid, but we teach each other to hate the other when our real enemy is sobody of a sub-group giving the dark temple a bad na…."
"Do you know what their group na is called?"
"The Evangelists of the Undead. A pretty pretentious na if you ask , but it is what it is. They seek to convert many and all to that of the undead to achieve constant and solid immortality. None of this bullshit large companies sell to expand your lifeti, your youth, by just a fraction of a second… but real and solid proof of an extension on life. Although, it is obviously in exchange for your soul."
"Are they sothing I need to look out for? Like, will they do so kind of raid against my school for whatever reason?"
"No, not really. As of now, they're a small religion with only a few thousand followers. But I will say this now, if we don't take care of them as soon as possible, they're going to be pests on our future. We must get rid of them above anything else, no matter how much man power it will take."
…
The next day quickly ca as I and my group of assassins returned to the city. We weren't in much of a rush, but due to the fact that we had no access to the internet or communication back to the Boss, we had to speed up our pace as dark clouds began to roll in.
"Hey, Cyrus, I got a question," Elora suddenly spoke up, taking off her mask and staring down in the eyes as we dashed across the train tracks leading back to civilization. She seed very serious about it, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and listened intently. "What exactly happened before you ca to the warehouse? You all of a sudden went silent, uploading information to our masks that allowed us to see the enemy… but then you ca back with five heads? What really happened?"

"The technology I was using was imdiately picked up on. It was more of a hunch rather than an actual fact, but it turned out to be correct. So, I hid in the shadows and waited for them whilst also turning our technology into a bomb. So as soon as they tried to touch my computer, it exploded, killing one of the six by blowing his body to bits. Then, all that was left was to kill the other five who I had taken by surprise. They were weak… so extrely weak to the point I got suspicious, so I imdiately ca to check up on you guys and, well, the rest you all know."
"Hmm… So, what will you tell the Boss then? You'll take full responsibility, right? I don't feel like getting scolded for your own sole mistake even though you did save us. So, I'm not going to help alleviate any of the punishnts you'll be receiving."
"That's fine with . I was going to take the punishnts head on anyway," I smiled beneath my mask, looking at the other group mbers who looked as guilty as Elora. Clearly, they had no intention of helping take the bla for the disconnection and massive risk put to our group, but it's not like I was begging for their assistance anyway. I could handle myself against that woman… maybe… hopefully.
And just like that, after a few hours of running in the early morning, and catching a passing train, we finally arrived back at school where the presence of a demoness was awaiting my audience.
